Manly Monday

Welcome to this weeks edition of Manly Monday. I had two nephews turn ten last week- Monday and Tuesday. Here is the second nephews card.

The tape measure paper is by DCWV, background paper by Basic Grey and grid paper by Making Memories. The rest are scraps from the office. The large star is cut out by my Cricut and the small by Quickutz. Circle punch outline by punching the smallest circle first and then punching the larger circle second. Flip your punch over so you can line up the small circle to the punch. I used a Creative Memories punch for that. The stamps are from the scrapbook store down the street where I use to teach classes. Sadly this Saturday I taught my last class there. It's a big bummer because I had so much more I wanted to teach those ladies. Hopefully I will see them here on my blog:)
Thanks for looking. God Bless this Monday!!

Chalk-Ah-Lot Lighthouse card

Edited May 2021. See sidebar for explanation
Below the card is a picture tutorial on how I achieved the look of the lighthouse.

Other Supplies used in this card:
Patterned paper by MME and DCWV
cardstock by Recollections
Border die and scallop oval by Spellbinders
helm die cut by Cricut Life is a Beach
Braiding cord by Allary (bought at Wal-Mart)
Sentiment stamp by Stamp N plus Scrap N
Ink by Memento

I thought I would show you how I made this background.

I used glue with my chalk this time.

I painted the blue chalk on top of the sheet of watercolor paper.

Then painted a little bit of green on the bottom.

I stamped my image using Memento black ink. Let both your glue/chalk mixture dry before stamping the image.

Got out my Spellbinders scallop oval die and lined it up to the image.

Ran it through my Cuttlebug once to cut and a second time to emboss it.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Multiple Blog Candy/giveaways

I found this great Blog Candy and wanted to share with you. Check out the Ranger Industries garb. You know how much I dig them.
All you have to do is become a follower of Livas crafts, make a blog post and then comment on which project on her blog is your favorite. That was the hardest part because she has so many beautiful works of art. Stop over there and check it out. Candy ends Feb 27th.

My second blog candy find for this morning to share with you wonderful people is by Donna. She is offering a lovely array of scrappy or card making goodness for her 1st blogoversary. Check out her BLOG and become a follower to win this fabulous candy. It ends Feb 12th

Audrey is having blog candy on her blog as well. I have been a follower of hers for the longest time. She produces so many cards I can't imagine what her back stock must look like. Unless people are lucky enough to receive them.
You must become a follower of her blog and you have to pay for shipping, which that is totally understandable and a really good idea. I pay way too much in shipping sometimes. Here is a picture of the goods:

Crafty Carley is having a blog candy give away once she reaches 1000 followers. I was number 450 so spread the word and get her numbers up there. Check out the candy below:

Fabulous blog candies make me want to do a giveaway too. I am going to the shop today and will see if something strikes me for a give away. Best wishes.

UR Sweet

Another day for a Valentine's Day card. This one being purple is a little off from the norm but aren't we all. Thanks for looking. I have to teach class today and need to get off this computer.
I will ask this, does anyone know anything about putting a slideshow on your sidebar? I wanted to put the blog candy pictures on a slideshow with a link back to my post where all the other links are and have come up empty handed. If anyone can help me with this leave me a comment or send me an email-see sidebar. Thanks in advance.

Christmas Cards all year Round

This month at Christmas cards all year round the theme is hearts. You must make five cards throughout the month of February that display a heart or hearts. Link them up to the linky on the blog and you may just win a fabulous prize.
Here is my pop up card with a heart on it. I made two other cards but I was not impressed with them. So unimpressed cards don't get posted ;) lol
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Hugs and Love

I have another Valentine's card to share with you today. I made a bunch to sell at the scrapbook store that I teach at. I think I have enough to show you from now until Valentine's day excluding the DT posts and Manly Monday.

I use this heart paper a lot. It's nice to be able to get so many cards out of one sheet of 12x12 patterned paper.

The big heart paper is by The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby and the small heart paper is by Echo Park. The die cuts are by Spellbinders. I made the frame using two of the Spellbinders dies. The sticker is by Making Memories, the stamps are by Maya Road and white ink by Stampin Up.
