Chalk-Ah-Lot Dry Embossed chalk background card

Edited May 2021. See sidebar for explanation

For this card I mixed my chalk with paint and painted it onto the embossing folder. I then ran it thru my Cuttlebug, removed the paper from the folder and waited for it to dry. I think the final results are fun. I will definitely being doing this technique again with a different folder.

Thanks for looking.

  1. Wow, what a cool chalk technique! I never would of thought of painting the folder itself, brilliant! Gorgeous card too. So happy to be on the OSAAT team with you! Best, CG

  2. I like how the paint embossing folder turned out. Not thought about mixing chalk with paint or painting an embossing folder. Just the other day I cut a slit in the top of an embossing folder like Tim Holtz had mentioned he had done so I could put a tag thru the top and so on to the adventure of mixing chalk & paint and painting an embossing folder. Glad to have won some more chalk to play with for my Cheetah scrapbook layout and will give the background chalking a try.
