Welcome back. This is the biggest Manly Monday yet to date. I've been doing this for 25 weeks and am so happy at how big it is. Thank you and welcome to all the new followers. Manly Monday is where I showcase masculine cards for my readers and then give you a direct link to go check out each card. Masculine cards can be such a challenge at times, the cards not the guys of course so......
I'm going to show you my card first. The deets are below the photo.

My card today has patterned paper by Tim Holtz's Ideology line and cardstock by Recollections. My tag has many layers to it but they are fun.
The tag itself had some silly design on it that had to go. I painted it with white paint and dried it with my heat tool. Hit it again with the paint and heat tool and then rolled it thru the Cuttlebug using one of his own folders. Then I used a blending tool and distress ink all over the tag. Well then I still didn't like what I had going so I took a file to the raised areas. Things were looking better so I finished up by painting the edges with a gold paint dauber.
The bottle cap is real that someone drank and gave to me to craft with. Good times. I backed the cap with a black cardstock circle using Glossy Accents to secure it down. The cardstock is by Recollections and the circle punch used is by EK Success.
The crown is a chipboard piece by Maya Road. I stamped it with a Stampin Up canvas stamp using black Hero Arts ink. Then I used a gold Distress Stain on top of the stamped area and let it dry.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for including my card in the Manly Monday's!! Fabulous idea showcasing male cards! They seem to take a lot more thought from me than female cards do. :) Love your card with tag! The embossing is awesome texture and I love the bottle cap and crown! I actually thought the crown was canvas until I read your post! Fantastic stamp!
