White Poinsettias card with silver and teal accent colors card

A pretty card that I made in 2013

After I was done painting in my image I had leftovers of the Gem paint mixture. 2. I took a wide paint brush that I dipped in water and then the Gem mixture and applied it to a scrap piece of vellum. It warped the vellum a little bit but I kind of like that extra texture with out a ton of weight added to my card. 

In the end I still had all three colors mixed with the paint available to do something with. 3. I combined them all together and painted the border piece of cardstock. After it dried it made a perfect surface to stamp on. 4. I used Versa Magic chalk ink to stamp the Season's Greetings sentiment. 

I layered all these pieces onto sparkly glitter paper by Making Memories and then to finish off my card with a rhinestone in the middle of each snowflake in the border. The rhinestones had adhesive on the back of each on so I used the Imaginicse heat tool to set them to the papers securely. The snowflake border was from a RAK a long time ago so I'm not sure who it is by.

None of the crap below isn't really necessary but it tells what I was doing at this point in time.

'm posting for the Chalk Ah Lot challenge this week. The theme is Christmas with chalk. I love the creation that I came up with for today and am so excited to tell you about it. I used chalk three times on my card, well kind of four. Let me tell you about them.

1. The first way I used powdered chalk by Stamp N Plus is to color in my image. I mixed powdered chalk with Stamp N Plus paint and used a paint brush to apply the mixture to my silver heat embossed image. The flowers are colored in with Stardust with a little bit of Foggy to accents the veins of the petals and the leaves are colored in with Gem.
