I finally finished my Chalk Ah Lot card with the new challenge and am ready to share it with you.
The challenge this fortnightly is to use an Olympic symbol to base your project on and include chalk. HERE is the Chalk Ah Lot post which includes a Wikipedia link talking about the different symbols associated with the Olympics. I found it really interesting.
My card's primary symbol is the Olympic rings. I used circle punches to create the rings and then adhered them to my card front with temporary adhesive. The rings stayed in place as a mask while I covered the entire piece of Strathmore watercolor paper with Sky powdered chalk mixed with Stamp N Plus paint. I love that you don't have to use a fixative on this chalk because it doesn't come off of the project like normal chalks do.
My secondary symbol is the red, white, and blue stripes for the US flag and then I chose to add the snowflakes for the Winter Games. I used a snowflake and sentiment stamps by Stamp N Plus for my card with Colorbox pigment ink. You can find other snowflake stamps by Stamp N Plus HERE. If you prefer this one in my card you would need to call Luann to order it at 715-271-1873. The sentiment is one of a set that would also need to be ordered via phone. I'll include the rest of the set at the bottom. The patterned paper is by Basic Grey and the letter stickers are by K and Co.
Gorgeous Cindy. A great design and I love the hint of sparkle.
