Demo of Using a Stencil and Powdered chalk for Kenny K

So I have a little chalk demo today using Stardust powdered chalk by Stamp N Plus. Love this stuff. I combined it with paint and applied it over a stencil. Check it out.
I masked off my patterned paper with painter's tape. Plus secured it to my craft mat.

I taped this Tim Holtz stencil to the mat and over the cardstock.

I scooped out some Stardust powdered chalk and placed it in my tray.

This is how much paint I used to mix in with the powdered chalk.

Here's what it looks like after it is mixed.

I used my Tim Holtz ink blender with a new sponge to dab and apply the mixture. The stencil is taped down really well and therefore I could make little circles with the applicator when applying.

All finished. Check out the shine.

Another view of the shine, kind of sparkly.

Here it is after I removed the tape. Painter's tape works well because it doesn't rip your paper if you remove it slowly and carefully.

Then here's my card using the Kenny K image "Happy Hour". My patterned paper is by Crate Papers, die cut by Spellbinders that I inked on the inside, vellum sentiment by Studio 112, rhinestones by Want 2 Scrap, and sequins by Craft Medley.
Oh a couple more things; I colored her in with Copic markers and used Liquid Pearls, Glossy Accents, and distress ink by Ranger as well as a Tombo white gel pen and a Xyron machine for the sentiment. I think that's it.

Here it is a little bit closer.

My demo and card are for the

where the July theme is

and the sponsor is the fabulous

Hope you liked the demo and thanks for stopping by.
