My card today uses a Lawn Fawn turtle stamp and die and a sentiment as well. I tend to die cut the paper first and then stamp it that way if I mess up I'm not out anything. If I mess up stamping the image I can simply die cut another white piece of paper. I was just playing around and I used Recollections white cardstock to die cut the turtle. I stamped it with Gathered Twigs distress ink by Ranger and then I colored the image in with Copic markers. This is so not like me-when I stamp for copics I use Memento Ink and Cryogen cardstock. I must have fallen and hit my head because I'm doing crazy things over here. I think what is crazier is that the turtle turned out really cute. I did some shading with the image and really liked the colors I chose for this piece.
I kept the rest of the card simple to bring the focus to the cute little turtle. The background paper is by Pebbles and the strip of paper is by Studio Calico. The die cut is by Spellbinders out of Recollections cardstock. The turtle is popped up on foam adhesive by 3M. I stamped the sentiment with the same ink as the image.
Thanks for looking.
Adorable!!
