Manly Monday Wandering


My card today uses a backpack image by Deep Red Stamps.

and/or
A Cherry on Top

I stamped "him" with black ink by Hero Arts on watercolor paper by Ranger. I colored him in with Peerless watercolors, water, and a water pen by Ranger. I love how vibrant the colors are and how I'm able to achieve some shading with the watercolors. I die cut the image out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside with some distress ink. The patterned papers are so old that I have no idea the manufacturer. The plaid paper is actually a pocket to hold a gift card or money-check the photos below. I used Lawn Fawn Harold alphabet stamps to create the sentiment and stamped it with white pigment ink by Stampin Up. The tent is a brad by Eyelet Outlet

I have a question for you; do you get into giveaways that manufacturers are constantly posting about? I'm just curious how other people feel about the giveaways and do you do all the things you have to do to being in the drawing? One example that takes up a lot of time are the blog hops where you hop to what feels like a million blogs and some you have to do the hop each day for a week. Have you ever won anything from these giveaways? I'm just curious how other people feel about the giveaways. Talk to me :)

    Hi Cindy! What fun to see your blog and all the great manly cards, including yours--love the backpack stamp and sentiment! The stamp reminds me of the way I over-packed my son for his first trip to Scout camp. It was a long while before I lived that down, lol!
