Recycled ATC's

I joined an ATC (Artist Trading Cards) swap at Scrapbook.com and the theme was recycled/upcycled/junk in your house. I was going to do a bunch of different cards but as I made them I loved them so much that I kept in for my collection. I'll show those ATC's in the near future.

I used a fun background stamp by Deep Red Stamps called Esprit Parfumerie Label which you can also find it at Scrapbook.com where I post a lot of my layouts. I stamped the background stamp onto white cardstock with Hero Arts black ink. I proceeded to add color with distress ink (Scattered Straw and Worn Lipstick) with an ink blending tool both by Ranger. The We R Memory Keepers Crop-a-Dile pierced a hole into the center of the ribbon so I could set a large eyelet. Fray Check (Prym Consumer USA Inc.) was applied around the hole to keep the ribbon from fraying. Once the Fray Check was dry I set the eyelet with the Crop-a-Dile. Next was the hard part working with the buckle and ribbon to make everything look smooth and cohesive. Once buckles were in place with the ribbon and eyelet I used 3D and large Zots under the ribbon to secure everything together. The ribbon, the eyelets and the buckles are from my mother-in-law's stash.

I just now noticed that the first ATC has a flaw. I didn't thread the ribbon correctly on the left side. Ugh! Funny thing to me is that I just now noticed that. I guess what would a blog post be if I didn't say Ugh?

Thanks for looking.

  1. I didn't even realise it was a flaw... I thought you'd done it on purpose to make the number 3! (It looks like the ATCs spell out the number 300 together, lol)
Either way, I think they're fabulous, and I love the colours. x
