Day 3 for the blog hop.
Make sure that you leave a comment on all my blog hop posts this week for a chance at a $25 coupon to Deep Red Stamps. I get to give one lucky commenting participant a $25 coupon to the Deep Red Stamps store. I am super excited for you guys. Good luck.
Today my card uses the Large Sunflower stamp by Deep Red Stamps and a Xyron Create-a-sticker 150.
I had a bunch of scraps of watercolor paper (Ranger) that I didn't want to go to waste. I took three of those scraps that were roughly the same size and taped them together on the back with regular tape. Then I stamped the Sunflower with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with a flat gold embossing powder (Stamp N Plus). The image is colored in with with Peerless Watercolors and a water pen (Ranger). I did tap the brush down to the center a bit to appear like the center of a sunflower. Once the watercolor was dry I removed the tape and matted each piece with yellow paper (Creative Memories). I adhered the pieces to the patterned paper (Pebbles) with a small space between each one.

The Xyron create-a-sticker seemed like a great way to adhere the ribbon and lace to the patterned paper. I was able to run both pieces in at the same time.
To make certain the adhesive adhered to the two I burnished the back of the release paper with a bone folder (Cricut/Provo Craft).
The picture below shows the Xyron adhesive does not show through on the ribbon or the lace. The sentiment is a Cricut cut from the Just Because Cards cartridge. I used the Xyron 150 for the sentiment and the layers.
I embellished the card with "Rain Dots" (Cloud 9 Designs).
