Smile, It's Halloween

These cute little pumpkin faces are the negatives of pumpkins cut on my Cricut. Check out the next picture for the matching pumpkins.

I was just kind of playing with them by pleating the paper and adding distress ink to accent those pleats. After I was...well honestly, after I was bored with them I thought, "These little stinkers are cute." I showed them to Hubby who found a way to slide each side of the body into a cabinet door. They make both of us smile.

Anyway, thanks for looking,

Floral Friday Sunflower card with Scraps of paper card

Sunflowers are my favorite flower. I found this image in my bin and matched it up with this background that was in another bin.
I found it colored it in with chalk and decided to enhance it with Smooch inks. Super old products. But it did the trick.
I'm entering this card into Pattie's Creation Design Challenge: Autumn/Fall

Soft colors make a wreath card

I made my card today using die cuts from a Sizzix set that is full of birds. The patterned papers I used were by K and Co., Pepertrey Ink, and Tim Holtz. The background paper is by Studio Calico. The sentiment stamp was a set I bought off of eBay. I've been on a shopping spree the last month. I'm not as familiar with my new products. Anyway, the bow is a sticker by Mrs. Grossman. I punched the center of the wreath out with a Marvy circle punch.

Lately, I have been doing challenges for inspiration and a place to start.
I made this card for the challenge at

October Calendar Layout with the kids carving pumpkins

Here is the last October calendar page for year one of Wednesday calendar layouts. This one was from my Brother's 2021 calendar. The corners are from Recollections. I made the title with my Cricut. The epoxy sticker at the bottom is by Creative Imaginations. The second picture in this post shows the layout before the sticker and I'm half and half on it. Adding the sticker doesn't give your eyes a place to rest. But happily, it decreases the number of stickers in that package of stickers. On that sticker sheet, there's one with a cat that is ok to use on kids' cards but the last two stickers in the package are scary to me. Maybe they aren't scary. I will try to post a picture.

This is me babbling.
I wish I was able to go in order, like this; all of the months from my brother's 2018 calendar on the first week of every month. Then the cottage's calendar 2018 for the second week. Then Paul's family calendar from 2018 for the third week and then I've made calendars for different people throughout the years to cover week 4 of the month...BUT I just can't get it organized to do it that way. My pictures folders are a mess and I can't figure out why. I'm the most organized unorganized person ever. I have labels on most things. I say most because it's one of the things on the list of help I need help finishing.

Organizing pictures is a BIG sigh followed by irritation followed by why can't I get someone to help me. I would pay them the going rate. Shoot, McDonald's is starting at $15. Starting!
I made a list in outline form and #2 is I need a minion. Then
2a.) Get on my PC and delete duplicates. With that...I want the right pictures to go into folders that they are labeled to go into.
2b.) Clean up my blog, that one is harder than it sounds. Like 2a I want it to be done my way. Heck, once we established what I want, they could do it from home.
2c.) Use the label maker for all of my stamp sets. However,
2d.) I'm thinking of taking old stamps off the wood. But so many things come with that and maybe I need to make that decision before 2c.
2e.) Dance VHS project. I actually had someone that was doing that project. We were kicking ass on that project and then Covid hit and the project came to a complete halt. I think that it will be resumed.
2f.) 3 Inch disks project. I have a box of them that is how we saved things in the '90s. We had a camera that didn't have film, it had one of those disks. I have the converter to plug into my computer and move any worthy pictures onto my computer. The most important pictures I'm looking for are of my husband's back. Skin cancer comparison photos.
And the last thing that I've thought of that I need a minion for is...
2g.) Check and do the maintenance on my Copic markers. Though I love to play with them, they are not getting the love they deserve and it's resulting in the markers going dry and the nibs destroyed.
I have two people that would be perfect for the job but have both said not now. I'm going to hang onto that string of hope that they will say, I can help you with one of your tasks.
Until then, I have a list typed up on my blog ready to go.
Do you have anything you wish someone would do for you? Maybe I forgot it and need to add a 2h.)

Framed flower with Lace and Ribbon Card

I know it's not Floral Friday but I made this card specifically for the challenge at

Moving Along with the Times

I would not have reached for my lace if it wasn't for the bingo challenge.
The tiny bow is wrapped around the lace to bunch it up.
The flower stamp is by Clearly Besotted. Center die cuts are by Spellbinders.

I did the diagonal: ribbon, patterned paper, and lace.

Peace and Paisley cards Part 2

For these first three cards, I doubled up the fabric paisley circles ironing them onto the paper with border die cuts behind them.
The peace sign punch is from Oriental Trading Co.

On the card below, I layered Spellbinders die cuts under the fabric.
Here is another Peace card.

For this next card, I dry embossed the blue paper with a Sizzix folder.
I punched out some leaves and adhered them to the orange cardstock and spritzed them with Glimmer Mist.
The ribbon is from Offray.
I layered Spellbinders die cuts under the fabric.

This next picture is yesterday's two cards with this one.

These cards were made as thank you cards for the parents that helped/contributed to the homecoming float. Long story short, Hubby and other friend teachers are advisors for the class of 2025. The theme this year was decades. The Senior class chose the 1980's. The Juniors were 2000's. The Sophomores were 1990's and the Freshman were 1970's hence the funky cards.

Along with designing these cards, I used my Cricut to cut out a bunch of 1970's type die cuts that the kids glued onto signs. They waved the signs during the Mock Rock (a dance that I choreographed).
So, I had a few extra fabric circles and adhered them to the sunglasses die cut.
This picture makes me giggle because it reminds me of the next picture.

Hubby and BIL check on my dad's cottage when going to our cottage. My Dad's cottage is a 5-minute walk from ours. So they went in, checked on things, and drank one of my Dad's beers.
They found these glasses on the table and in an effort to find out who they belonged to, they took a selfie wearing the glasses and sent it to the family GroupMe app. LOL.

The family didn't think it was as funny as I did.

Paisley Fabric Circle cards Part 1

The paisley center is a piece of fabric leftover from my Mom's massive fabric collection.
The border sticker is from Doodlebug.
I used decorative scissors on the edges of orange cardstock on both of the cards.

In the second card, the blue flower is a Cricut cut and the spikey circle is possibly from Scenic Route die-cut. The yellow patterned paper is by Studio Calico (June Card Kit 2014- Dear Lizzy)

Floral Friday with Sunflower Backgrounds by Deep Red Stamps

I colored in these sunflower backgrounds last year.
I love how they turned out.
I haven't made them into cards because I don't want to cover up the beauty of the flowers.
See below for the cards.
This is a Deep Red Stamp

This thing is so old and I was able to use it. It's by Provo Craft.

The below background is MIA

Apples made on my Cricut in my fall card

Today’s card was made using inspiration from my Snow White card. I had just been coloring in the images when I found all of the pieces of this card. The pieces were in my room just waiting for each other to come together as one. Ta-Da!

The apple is a Cricut cut. I inked the outside edges with distress oxide inks.
Background stamp by Stampin Up.
Wood patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket.

Then I hid the bite of the apple with a loving sentiment stamp to use as an anniversary card.

Here are some other apple die cuts.

Manly Monday Picture Perfect Card.

I made this card with leftover pieces that I found and brought together. The sunshine rays in the background are a stencil. The trees are the negative of a tree die cut by Gina Marie. The frame is a negative of a die cut rectangle. All of those things have been inked with distress ink. The washi tape is by We R Memory Keepers.

I tried to color the dimensional adhesive foam behind the layers with my Copic markers.

**I Updated the stamped image into a card.
The Christmas letter stamps are oldies from Michael's.
I stamped them with green ink and colored them in with colored pencils. The square punches from Creative Memories. The patterned paper is by Creative Memories (background paper and journal box) with black paper behind it. The gold paper is by Little Yellow Bicycle.

These pictures have the same letter stamps that are card bound.

Double Polka Dot blue Celebrate Card

There is nothing fancy about this card. I cut the sentiment out with my Cricut.  The blue background paper is dry embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The pattern paper is by Making Memories. The circle uses paper by Provo Craft. I didn’t like the way the sentiment went over the patterned paper on that left side. So I decided to use colored pencils to enhance the letters.

I'm entering this card into the,
Challenge. The theme is birthday cards.

Mom's Pink and Red Fabric in a card

Today is my Mom's birthday. It only seemed right to show a card that I made using her fabric. I die cut the flower in the center out of the fabric's design with a square die. The square and rectangle dies were bought off of eBay

Manly Monday Cell Phone reminder Band Practice card

Isn't this the cutest phone stamp? Perfect for teens.

The problem with the phone stamp is that it’s upside down on the card. The button should be at the bottom. I didn’t realize it until a month later from sending it to a young man for his birthday. I thought it was so cute and clever to include band practice. It took me a long time to stamp those words in the phone with tiny red rubber alphabet stamps for the sentiment to be personalized for him. Oh well.

The sentiment is made up of alphabets by Lawn Fawn, Oriental Trading Co, and Close to my Heart is by

The music note stickers are unknown
The patterned paper is by Jenni Bowlin. Omgoodness! That paper is old.

This could be a repeat card. I looked on my blog and it wasn't under searches of phone, music, band, or teen. I apologize if it is.
