Hello Die cut with `umbre background

Manly Monday Life is Short Mix things up Wobbler card

I made this card for, you guessed Craft Roulette episode 210

The parameters were:

Project: Include action

Colors: Northern Lights

Element: Blackboard

Random: Oval

Here is my card on Craft Roulette’s website.

I dry embossed white cardstock with a Tim Holtz splatter folder. I messed up the embossed side so I flipped it over and used the debossed. Someone said, “there’s two sides to every paper”.

I sprayed the debossed side with Dylusions white Linen Shimmer spray by Ranger and then while it was wet I took a soft bristle paint brush and started brushing the chalk all over it. The spray dried quickly so I had to move fast but still ended up doing it three times. I also dry embossed the top of the mixer die cut and  addd chalk to it too. I wanted it to look like the mixer exploded.

The shimmer paper is by Sizzix. The blackboard paper was a fuzzy texture but not obvious so it worked for me. It’s stamped with chalk ink by Colorbox. I lined the edge of the box with a white gel pen and then smeared it.

Lastly, the black die cut is by Spellbinders and the white die is by Creative Expression. I forgot to mention that the blender was colored with Copic markers.

Thinking of You Rusty Colors Card

The sentiment is from the cut and draw feature on my Cricut. The square was a negative of a die cut.  I created the side border swiping my ink pads back and forth. The rest was put together on a Kraft cardstock.

May Calendar layout MemorialDay/Reunion

My in-laws hosted a Memorial Day weekend gathering to celebrate 2 milestone birthdays, a 40 year wedding Anniversary, and to see aunts and uncle along with cousins. It was fun and nice to see people. Paul’s uncle has great stories that I love to listen to.

City girls by Deep Red Stamps

The Deep Red Stamps girls are on summer vacation and others are ready to go. I stamped all of them with Memento black and colored them in Copic markers.

The Sassy City girl wearing the pants, the pink embossed paper used in this card is from a store-bought. I put a slit in the top left corner to allow the white paper to go through it. Something different so it’s not exactly the same as the store-bought one

The background for Missy in the pink party dress above was made with powdered chalk mixed with paint in red and brown. The 4” square patterned paper is by DCWV. The two brown brackets are rub-ons.

The City party girl in purple has a really easy and short list of supplies, the background with embossed hearts is a store-bought card. All of the purple cardstock is from my stash.

Let's talk about the City Girl wearing a blue skirt,  I had made a really ugly background with the Milled Lavender, Tumbled Glass…and one more distress ink. But it worked well with the way I had colored her a long time ago. The black cardstock behind her is by SMS. The sentiment is by Stampin Up.

Which card or girl do you like? Leave me a comment below.

Manly Monday Red Retirement Card

I used the draw and cut function on my Cricut. The background was dry embossed with a Provo Craft/Cuttlebug embossing folder. Then I inked it like a crazy person with distress ink. Idk what my deal was. I was an inking idiot. LoL! Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Manly Monday Baseball Card

This card came together as I cleaned up my desk. The baseball is an image from an Accord Publishing calendar (circa 2011). The gingham and the red are corners from Creative Memories. The star patterned paper is from DCWV.

Lovely blue card with Brass Corners

This card is a recycled card of mine. Like I made it and it came back to me from an aunt or someone. If I looked hard enough I could probably find the original card on my blog but I have other things to do. The blue paper is by Colorbok. The brown patterned paper is by Stampin Up. The dry embossed square is by Cuttlebug and the stamp inside it is from Stampin Up. Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Teacher Appreciation Week Thank You Cards

You never want to hear the words “we had a lockdown today”. Worse yet it was because someone was in the building. That’s when I made these cards the night of the lockdown day. They’re not awesome cards but they were appreciated by the principal and vice principal. I didn’t take many pictures or close ups of them except that one. It was 6am and hubs was leaving for work.

The patterned papers are by Kaiser Crafts. The big Thank you and Grateful stamps are by The Paper Co. The yellow and green patterned papers are oldies by Provo Craft.

Thanks for stopping by. HAGD.

Cinco De Mayo Card

A2 card: yup.
Color palette- Ice Cream Shop: I did lime and orange sherbet.
Element: Tasty or Taste. I did Margaritas. This is a piece of patterned paper from a desk calendar from 2004 by Accord Publishing.
Random: Banner. Celebrate sentiment is on a banner. I  individually stamped Lawn Fawn Harold alphas on a Sizzix die cut (Cricut yellow adhesive paper.)
The background is a Stampin Up stamp stamped with SU ink and sprayed with Couture Creations pinky/peachy colored spritz.

I didn’t know what I was going to do with those parameters other than it was a card and then it just came together. Check out Craft Roulette. It really gets your mind thinking in different directions about how to put a card together other than what I would normally do. I look at my products and think what could go together and then ask myself, does this go together?

Thanks for looking.
