2012 Calendar class

Hello Ladies,
Here are the 2012 calendar sketches with an example of the layout using your kit and also an example from my calendar using the same sketch.
*If you click on the sketch it will make it bigger. Then right click and print it if you need the sketch next to you while you are working.*

MARCH SKETCH

EXAMPLE WITH YOUR KIT
*Use the brads along the strip of patterned paper that is located in the middle*
**Place one brad in each corner of the photo matte except the one with the flourish**

EXAMPLE WITH PHOTOS
*You can use one 6x4 photo instead of two little ones*
**That is the beauty of sketches. You make it work with what you have and what you like**

MAY SKETCH

EXAMPLE WITH YOUR KIT
*Fold the pink stamped circles in half to make the banner. Fold them onto the purple floss and adhere the two halves together.*
**Use the brads at the ends of the floss**
***Wrap the floss around the base of the brad before fully attaching the brad to the layout. Similar to the way we did the November layout***

EXAMPLE WITH PHOTOS
*You can put photos or whatever you would like in the purple squares*

OCTOBER SKETCH

EXAMPLE WITH YOUR KIT
*Each kit may vary slightly as far as the look of your tag or the borders you have been given*
**I gave you a blank tag if you wanted to make your own instead of the one I made**
***Stickers in your kit are to be used in place of the stars on the sketch***

EXAMPLE WITH A PHOTO
*That's my 9 year old nephew with a mask on. Isn't it funny?*

DECEMBER SKETCH

EXAMPLE WITH YOUR KIT
*Background papers vary from kit to kit*
**Layer the green fancy die cut/flower, the ornament, stamped circle and snowflake on top of each other. Finish with a brad in the center of the snowflake**
***I gave you extra snowflakes and brads to decorate more***
****I glued the dot to the "i" on the green cardstock for the title "Faith". I didn't want it to get lost. All you need to do is adhere the red frame onto the green cardstock and then line up the word "faith" to the dot****

EXAMPLE WITH PHOTOS
*You could always leave the ornament like shown above and use a long/tall 4x6 photo under the word faith*

 SEPTEMBER SKETCH

EXAMPLE WITH YOUR KIT

*For your kit I gave you two different styles of leaves in different colors*
**Hand cut them out and place in between the two photos**

(Not up yet)

EXAMPLE WITH PHOTOS
*The "Teachers Pet" sticker is just something I added because I messed up the end of the ribbon and didn't have any more of the same kind*
**Don't use liquid adhesive for your ribbon. A good glue stick like Pioneer Extra Strong Embellishment glue stick, Tacky Tape or this glue stick by SCOTCH are all great options**
***You can add details to you layout and make it your own***

JUNE SKETCH

EXAMPLE WITH YOUR KIT

*I didn't include the butterflies because the paper is busy and I thought they would get lost*
**The scallop rectangle is meant to go behind the tag with the brad in the hole of the tag**

EXAMPLE WITH PHOTOS

AUGUST SKETCH

EXAMPLE WITH YOUR KIT

*You may have the largest circle off the page of the calendar . Because it won't go into a scrapbook you don't have to worry about not fitting into a page protector.*
**I cut a photo into a circle for my middle circle but I gave you a stamped flower**
***Place brads on both sides of the stamped flower image***

EXAMPLE WITH PHOTOS
*The letters I used are chipboard pre-made by Colorbok*
**You can cut chipboard on your Cricut with a deep cut blade and housing unit {I think Gina sells them at her store}**
