This week I am part of the Friends with Flair blog hop for Unity Stamp Company. I was so fortunate to win two Unity stamp sets and since then have been opened to an amazing community of ladies all dedicated to these stamps. (I'm trying to get DH to get me KOTM for a year for Christmas. I'll let you know how it goes.) Here is my card made using the Christmas Bough set.
Be sure to stop by the Unity Blog for a list of others participating in the Blog Hop for some inspiration. Happy hopping!!!

Spooky card

I made this card for the mini contest at Sketches for all. It will run from Oct 22nd thru Oct 30th. You must use the sketch below and have some kind of sparkle on it. It's hard to tell in my photo but the eyes of the skeleton are covered with black glitter. So come join us at Sketches for All for two chances to win (1st and 2nd place) fabulous prizes.

Bachelorette Card for I Did It Creations

This week at I did it Creations our sponsor Beary Dust provided us with these awesome images which you can purchase at the Stitchy Bear and I Did It Creations shopping boutique. This weeks theme is the girl of my dreams and the image I picked is Wild Thing. (She is the very last image on the second page) She looked to me like a fabulous image for a bachelorette party card and "tada" below is what I came up with.

The font stamps are by Technique Tuesday using Memento ink. I colored her in with Copic markers. The card base is by Halcraft. The flower sticker is by Martha Stewart and the wild brad by The Paper Studio.

Scrapbook LO (PB's birthday)

My Nephew's birthday parties are always full of joy
My choice of bold yet amazing colors work well for this  layout

I made this layout using the sketch below from Sisterhood of Scrap's Sketch Saturday. I needed the LO to be a left-sided page so I mirrored the sketch. TFL

I Did It Challenge

This week at I Did it Creations we were asked to create a project with a pumpkin image from Hope Jacare using a the theme "Spooky" for the Halloween new realse party. Usually I would make a card but since I don't send out Halloween cards I decided to make a tag as an embellishment for a future scrapbook layout. Then my embellishment turned into a bookmark. A friend of mine really likes Halloween and her favorite color is orange. Head on over to I Did It Creations Challenge blog for all the deets on this two week challenge.

Christmas Cards all year Round

This month at Christmas cards all year Round (CCAYR) our challenge is to distress in some way and to sew on our cards. I have three examples:
For this one I tore the paper on the side border and then sewed the grey and white torn paper together. Pattern papers by DCWV, snowflake stamps on the white cardstock by Hero Arts and card by Halcraft. I used a  platinum ink byTsukineko.

This one I have the torn paper which is evident but the sewing didn't show up in the picture well. I sewed down the vertical lines of the patterned paper. I'm not the best sewer so I didn't want the thread to be red for fear it would stand out too much. So I just used a light colored thread to hide any flaws that could have (and did) occur. Pattern paper by Sunborn, red cardstock by Stampin Up, ribbon by American Crafts, stamp set by Unity, ink by Ranger and card by The Paper Co.
I really like this last card. I tore strips of white cardstock to represent the ribbon around the present and then sewed it on for emphasis. I tried to mimic the bows in the patterned paper with ribbon above the gift. Patterned paper by DCWV, cardstock by Sunborn, ribbon by Offray, ink by Ranger and Stampin Up, embossing powder by Stampendous and card by Halcraft.
Be sure to visit CCAYR to see the other DT examples and join in on the fun. TFL
