Another pumpkin card

I won this fun sentiment stamp from Sweet Stamps and had to use it. I make a ton of cards but never can get them in the mailbox to reach the birthday person on time. Go figure.
The pumpkin stamp is by Inkadinkado and background stamp by Stampin Up. I colored the pumpkins in with my Copic markers. Die cut by Spellbinders and patterned paper by Recollections.
Thanks for looking.

Fall pumpkin card

Here is another one of those shaped cards from Michael's. I used a paintbrush, water, and Distressing inks to paint the image. The border punch is by Fiskars and the paper is by OTC. The border stamp is by TPC Studio with ink by Ranger Industries. Other CS by Coredinations and DCWV. Thanks for looking

Manly Monday

Welcome to this weeks Manly Monday post. I have to admit I did these at 8pm last night and then had to work this morning. When I got home a monsoon hit our little area (not really) and now just like Michigan weather, it is sunny outside. Hopefully that will be reflected on photos.
My mom and I got all buying crazy last week and bought two Stacks by DCWV and I am using the gears paper in both of today's cards. This first card I heat embossed the tickets on the side and then resisted the paper with Old Paper Distressing Ink. The gears I cut using my Cricut and the Indie Art cartridge. Blue paper is by BG and lined paper by DV.

I'm entering this card into the challenge at Stampin Sisters in Christ for the word Blessings in your sentiment and Here come the Boys (SU#11)- Bingo Top row (Twine, Blue paper and Die cuts)

This next card my husband really liked. I used the diamond plate folder by Cuttlebug on Basic Grey paper. On the gear paper (DCWV) I placed brads in the centers of the gears. The silver gear I cut using Cricut and Indie Art again. This time I took the die cut and placed it on top of the Versa Mark ink pad. I pushed the die into the ink so that it was completely covered. Then I poured embossed powder over it and started to heat emboss. In order to cover the enter die cut, while it was still hot from embossing I would pour more embossing powder onto it. After about 6 times the die cut was complete. For the sentiment I stamped it on the die cut and then inked the edges with my blending tool. After it was dry I stamped and heat embossed the clock with clear embossing powder.

I'm entering this card into the challenge at Simon Says Stamp and show(MO)-Men only
Thanka for stopping by and taking a look:)

I Did it Creations Challenge

This week our theme at I Did it Creations is SCHOOL. We are sponsored by Floppy Latte Designs. I love to make graduation cards and so when I saw this image, I was all about it. The fun border stamp is by TPC Studio, patterned paper by Deja Views, ink by Ranger Industries and die cut by Spellbinders.
I used a paint brush and distressing inks to color the image in. It was my fourth attempt at coloring the image and I had to call it quits. So it's not perfect but looks good to me. And really that is what it's all about-doing what I love and liking what I created, flaws and all. Thanks for taking a look and I hope you will join in our challenge.

Unique Edge Card Base Birthday Cards

Edited 5/20/21-I'm just doing some housecleaning on my blog posts.

Card base from Michael's
Patterned paper by Making Memories.
Border punch by Fiskars.
Label die-cuts by Spellbinders.
Sentiment stamp, I'm not sure.
Brad by Creative Imaginations
Distress ink around the edges.

For my second card, I use the same card base as above.
The kraft cardstock from Oriental Trading Co was partially dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.
I made dash lines above and below that section.
The scalloped rectangle die is by Spellbinders and was inked with distress ink.
Sunflower and leaf stickers are by Creative Memories

Weekends Rock...Especially when I get to create and play all day. Today I am showing yet another impulse buy from Michael's. (I'm seeing a trend here) I can't resist these shaped cards for $1. Yes I know I'm not so good with the money on this one. I say that because in my cart I have $20 worth of the packaged cards that were on sale 3 for $5. This averages to $1.66 per package of 25 cards and I just paid $1 for 8 cards so that I can have the fun edge on them. Brilliant, I know! Oh well. I work, right?
Thanks for stopping by. I hope your weekend is grand.

Autumn brings new cards

Look at that blue sky in the background. A vision of beauty. Pretty soon all that green will be white and when that happens everyone forgets how to drive. Oh glory Michigan!
But before the white stuff takes over those trees will turn a perfect shade of amber per the fairies in Pixie Hollow. I haven't lost it. I'm just happy it's Friday.
Thanks for stopping by.

Halloween Cards

Today I am featuring some new Halloween stamps by Robyn's Fetish. These are just two of the bunch that she just came out with. On this first one I used patterned paper from Best Creations and Rusty Pickle. The stamped letters are by Sizzix, die cuts by Spellbinders and the image is colored in using Copic markers. Go easy on me. I don't practice like I should. This thing called a job gets in my way of becoming a master coloring artist. hehe
The orange paper is the paper that you find in a picture frame. It was glossy so applied alcohol inks to it and stamped the cobwebs on top of that. I sewed around the edge of the card and then distressed the edges to make it have a scary feel to it. That's only because my sewing job was super scary and needed......to be distressed. We will leave it at that.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

This second card is I used Glossy Accents on the Copic colored letters. The two pieces of twill by Karen Foster remind me of the two front teeth you carve out of your pumpkin. It's a stretch but just go with me on it. The witch hat paper is unknown but the green is by Echo Park and the orange by DCWV. The ribbon is by Little Yellow Bicycle, die cut by Spellbinders and the punch is by Martha.

Thanks for looking.

Fall card

I created some fall cards for a friend and this was one of them. I used the same stamp as yesterday. I just love how one stamp can be used so differently. The patterned paper came from Michael's Recollection Simply Autumn pad. It was a total impulse buy. It was so beautifully displayed where you stand in line and was conveniently half off that day. Sucker!! Yup that's me. Hook, line and sinker. Anyways, Thanks for stopping by today:)

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Manly Monday

Clean and simple Manly Monday cards today. Sorry I missed posting last week. Life happens.
The leaf in this first card is by Shelly's Images. It was a freebie probably last year.

This next one I'm not sure where that freebie came from. When I first started collecting freebies I didn't do well at labeling them. But as my collection grew I would place the name of the contributor as the files name. So I do apologize to the maker of this sentiment freebie.

Thanks for stopping by.

Flattened bottle cap cards

I was so busy yesterday that I didn't even take the time to post Manly Monday. I do apologize. I'm in the middle of reorganizing my scrap room and the hours just fly by when I am focused on a mission. I did make progress yesterday but still have so much more to purge and sort through. I do know this, I have no business buying new products with all the stuff I have accumulated over the last 2 years.
This first card is a birthday card (lots of birthdays lately) that I used a flattened bottle cap as my main image. If you are looking to buy flattened bottle caps, I sell them in my Etsy store. I have others or singles in my collection so be sure to email me if you are looking for something in particular. grohcm@gmail.com
The embossing folder is by Sizzix which I inked the edges using my TH blending tool and distressing ink Pumice Stone. The dog bone stamp is by Stampendous with cardstock by Sunborn, CM and Recollections.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Craft your passion(MO)-Use the "F" word (friend)
Creative Stamp Friends(MO)-For a man
Forever Friends(MO)-Use a die cut
House of Gilli(MO)-embossing
Paper Creations Ink(MO)-distressing
Stamps + Fun = Creativity(MO)-include an animal
The Crazy Challenge(MO)-Birthday

You can see in this view the dimension of the bottle cap isn't very high and does mail US postal at normal 44 cent rates.

The sentiment stamp is by Cloud 9 and I used Faded Jeans distressing ink by RI for the sentiment and inking the blue die cut.

This next card also display a flattened bottle cap. All the bottle caps in my Etsy store have cardstock backing making it easier for you to add one to your project.
Supplies: CS Recollections & CM; patterned paper and embossing folder by Provo Craft; flourish stamp by Autumn Leaves; sentiment stamp is UK; ink and scallop circle punch by SU; corner rounder by CM; die cut by Spellbinders.

Thanks for looking. Have a fabulous day.
