Get Well Brass Stencil Sunflower with Embossing Paste Card

Today's card uses a metal stencil sunflower. I applied white embossing paste to the stencil and let it dry. Then I applied powdered chalk by Stamp N Plus to the image with my finger. I die cut the image out with a Spellbinders scallop square and heavily inked the edges with distress ink. The scallop square is on top of two patterned papered squares that I don't know the manufacturer. The corner is a similar colored cardstock and the owl is a brad by Eyelet Outlet. The embossing folder is by Cuttlebug/Provo Craft and the sentiment stamp is by Just rite.

Fall With Sympathy Card

Today's card is for all the fall lovers out there. I just used this leaf die a week ago for a Leaf Shaker card and now here's another way to use it. I die cut it out of chipboard and then distressed the edges with distress ink by Ranger. Then I stamped the lines on it with brown Stampin Up ink and covered it with clear Crackle Paint by Ranger. Set aside and let dry.

The background was made with a canvas background stamp that I still love with a caramel-colored SU ink. Then I inked the edges with distress ink and adhered a piece of brown cardstock behind it. I die cut the rounded square which is a Spellbinders die out of Bazzill cardstock.  I took the same brown cardstock that is behind the stamped background across the bottom. The sentiment is by Gina Marie All Seasons Stamp set which I stamped in dark brown SU ink on Oriental Trading Co kraft cardstock and adhered it to the lower right side. Then I added a Creative Imaginations leaf brad below the sentiment.

Manly Monday Corona Beer

Edited April 2021 see the sidebar for explanation

For this card I used a recycled bottle cap that my husband has flattened out for me. I adhered the cap to a circle punch by Stampin Up with Ranger's Multi Medium Matte. The patterned paper is by Me and My Big Ideas and the white and black cardstock is by Recollections. The navy blue cardstock is by Stampin Up.
That's all. Guy cards are so easy.

Sweet Stamps Anchor Card

I used the Speech Bubbles set by Sweet Stamp Shop for the border at the top and bottom. I used the bubble just above the words No Way. It was a fun surprise to have the nib shape appear after overlapping the bubbles in different colors. I used Stampin Up inks for the borders.

The sentiment stamp is also by Sweet Stamp Shop but the set was discontinued recently. I stamped the sentiment with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with a sage colored embossing powder. Then I die cut it out with a Design Objectives die and inked the inside of the die cut while still in the die. Then I sprayed it with water mixed with Perfect Pearls to give it that watery look.

The greenish patterned paper is by K and Co and the journal box behind the sentiment is by Project Life. I die cut the helm out of Recollections kraft cardstock using the Life's a Beach cartridge and my Cricut.

Cupcakes Card

Hi there. I have over 100 drafts in my Blogger posts page so I thought it was time to either show or delete these cards. This one I used stamps from Sweet Stamp Shop but they were discontinued but here is a link to their SHOP. The background patterned paper is by Recollections and the paper on top of that is by Studio G. For the cupcakes I created a mask and just stamped them on right next to the other moving the mask over one as I stamped the next color. The used inks by Stampin Up for the cupcakes. The green cardstock is white that has been inked with Distress ink by Ranger and then I used stickers by Sticko/EK Success for the rest of the sentiment. Hope you like it.

Baby Shower Hippo

Today's card is another baby shower card to add to my stash of baby cards. The hippo and sentiment stamp are both by Fiskars. I stamped them both with Memento black ink and colored the hippo in with Copic Markers. I used an oval punch by Marvy to shape the hippo and a Sizzix oval die for the one behind it. The patterned paper of the oval is by Best Creations as well as the blueish pennants {it's the other side of the patterned paper}. The blue background paper is by The Paper Studio and the yellow cardstock is by Bazzill. The yellow patterned paper is a scrap from my stash but the yellow heart is a sticker by CM.

It's a Nice Day for a Red Wedding

Today's card is a wedding card I made a while back but just haven't been able to show it to you yet. I started with black cardstock by Recollections on the white card base. The red cardstock is by Coredinations and it has been dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. Then the re pattern to the left is a stencil by The Crafter's Workshop that I applied Dreamweaver Stencils white embossing paste and then sprinkled red glitter embossing powder over the top. After it dried I die cut it out with my Cuttlebug and a Spellbinders scallop square die. The cake and topper are American Crafts stamps. The topper I cut out and added to the top with foam adhesive. The sentiment  is a sticker die cut by Jolee's and the pearls are by Want 2 Scrap.

A Baby Boy to Love

Linus from the Peanuts gang is a stamp I've had forever. It is by All Night Media and I stamped him on Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Ink so I could color him in with Copic markers. I looked up the Linus image online and there was a picture of him in the exact pose making it easy to accurately color him with the right colors. Once he was colored I die cut him out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside of the die with blue distress ink {Tumbled Glass}. The patterned papers are OLD with the blue by CM and the red by Sunborn. The ribbon is by Stampin Up, the card base is by Recollections, and the sentiment stamp is by Three Bugs in a Rug and the ink by Hero Arts.

Fleck Kids Layout

I have a wild layout to bring to you today. I think it may be a bit too busy but it's done and I'm not redoing it. This layout is another one for my Christmas Card Book{s} that I've been trying to get caught up with. These two years the family didn't send a traditional Christmas card with a photo on the front. Instead they sent a Christmas card with these little photos instead. That's OK with me. I just like to have some photos to put in my book.

The patterned paper in the background is unknown to me however the patterned paper close to the children is by Scenic Route. The red cardstock is by Recollections, washi tape is by Queen and Co and Darice, and the epoxy stickers are by EK Success. The title for this one was die cut with a Quickutz hand tool and dies out of Provo Craft green cardstock. I stamped their ages with Oriental Trading Company alphabet stamps in brown Stampin Up ink.

Manly Monday Taking the Train

Edited April 2021 see the sidebar for an explanation

In today's card I stamped a Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz train stamp onto white cardstock with black Hero Arts ink. I double matted the image with black and then white cardstock. I die cut the gears border also by Tim Holtz leaving a small border for my sentiment. The sentiment is made up of a Lawn Fawn alphabet and white pigment ink by Stampin Up. The clouds on the train have been enhanced with some white Liquid Pearls and the patterned paper is by Adorn It.

Peace, Love, Joy Christmas Card Layout

Today's layout is another one for the Christmas Card Book. You would think I'm really far on these things since I post so many layouts recently. But I;m not as close as I want to be. The first of three books, I only need one more layout to be complete. The second book there are about 10 more to do and the third book has more than that. Having sketches each month and sometimes weekly helps me get them done.

This layout uses a Stuck Sketches sketch to get it started. I used red and brown cardstock by Coredinations and the patterned paper is by Little Yellow Bicycle. I cut some circles using the CM cutting system in brown. The last name die cuts are by Quickutz and the 2009 is a Cricut cut from Cricut Craft Room. I tried to journal on the lower circle but I messed up and now it's hard to read. I think journalling is important but I hate my handwriting whenever I do it.

The Christmas tree in a chipboard piece that I painted gold with Adirondack paint. Then I ran it through my Cuttlebug with a flourish embossing folder. I took a nail file to it to roughen up the look a little. The glittery chipboard swirl is by Recollections.

Melody Grace Christmas Card Layout

I made this layout following the sketch at Skecthes in Thyme. It's fun to see a baby change so much from newborn to 1 year old. I started with black and white patterned paper by Recollections and the rest of the layout is made of scraps of paper. Some of them by Sunborn, Provo Craft and Recollections cardstock. The background stamp that I used on the blue cardstock with Chipped Sapphire distress ink is by Stampin Up and the alphabet stamps by Oriental Trading Co. The scalloped circle in blue is a die by K and Co. The rest of the circles were cut with a circle punch or cut out with CM cutting system circles.

Then on the bottom we have last years Christmas card and she is growing up right before my eyes. I made this layout using the sketch from Scrap Much. The white cardstock came with the book but the black is by Recollections and the tan/polka dot papers are by Bo Bunny. The red patterned paper is by Provo Craft and the white with large circles on it is by Little Yellow Bicycle. The small tag is a Sizzix die cut that I ran through my Cuttlebug. The scalloped edge is a border punch by Stampin Up. The large circle and date are cut out using my Cricut with the George and Basic Shapes cartridge. The circle stamp to her right is a Unity Stamp Co stamp stamped with SU ink. I put Stickles around the edges to give it some sparkle. After it dried I added it to the layout and it was then that I decided to add the stickers. They are from Hobby Lobby from probably 4 years ago. I'm not one to throw out scrap supplies. I will eventually use it.
