Deep Red Stamps Make a Wish

I stamped the Deep Red Stamps City Girls Springtime stamp with Memento ink and colored her in with Copic Markers. I added some Glossy Accents to her glasses. I used cardstock from Recollections (red and white card base), Sunborn (larger blue piece), Coredinations (blue pennant), and Bazzill (silver). I used stickers from Westrim Crafts (skateboard) and Sticko (sentiment).
I hope you like it.

The black and white patterned paper used in the dress is unknown however the white square card base is by The Paper Studio, silver cardstock by Creative Memories, the white on top by Recollections and the sentiment paper is by Color Aid. The sentiment stamp is by Just Rite stamped in Hero Arts black ink. I adhered three small Scrapping Stamping flowers to the waistline of the dress and placed blue rhinestones inside each flower.

Dog Sympathy Card Updated

My card today is a dog sympathy card. It is so hard to lose a dog/pet. They are a part of your everyday life much more than you realize.

I stamped the Gina Marie Dog stamp with Versa Color black pigment ink and let it dry. I die cut the dog out with a Spellbinders die as well as the next largest die of the set. I inked the inside of the dog's die cut with distress ink (Ranger). I die cut a scallop square and a rounded square adding distress ink to the latter. Both patterned papers are by Moxxie and the sentiment I printed from the internet.

Manly Monday Recovery Time Card

My Manly Monday card is for a guy recovering from surgery or maybe an accident. The patterned paper is by Making Memories and all of the stamps and ink are by Stampin Up. The blue cardstock is by Pressed Petals and the brown by Coredinations. The scallop border punch is by EK Success.

I will say it took me a couple (or more) tries to get the hands of the clock in the correct spot. It's a rubber stamp that I feel like it's a guessing game or just wishful thinking to get the dot in the center. I think having a Stamp-a-m-gig or whatever they are called would make the lining up easier but I do not have one of those.

Kind of simple. I hope you like it.

Have a great week.

Sketches in Thyme Project Life May

I here today with my Sketches in Thyme Project Life design team card. The layout is another example of how to use the card sketches for something other than a pocket scrapbooking page. I really struggled with this layout and ended up moving it to the pile of I'm not sure where I'm going with this one. I like how it turned out. I followed the sketch really well.

The cardstock used in the layout: blue by Stampin Up, teal by Provo Craft, cream background paper by Scrapworks, and off white by Recollections. The patterned paper is a 6x6 pad by Studio G that I found at Meijer for a dollar. I've used that and the other pads with different colors and designs on a lot of projects.

The title letter stamps by Stampibilities/The Paper Studio and adventure stamp by Fiskars stamped have been stamped with paint by Making Memories. Both the small letter stamps and Bermuda ink are by Stampin Up. The die cuts are Cricut cuts: the stars are by Art Philosophy, tag by Life's a Beach, and arrow by Bits and Pieces. I used an embossing folder by Fiskars that has been inked with Peacock Feathers distress ink (Ranger). The brad in the tag comes from Close to my Heart.

Baby Elephant baby Cards

I have two baby cards to share today. The elephant stamp is by Fiskars and I've stamped it with Memento black ink and colored it in with Copic markers.

I die cut the elephant with a Design Objectives die. The background paper, the strip in the center and the light green squares are all patterned papers by Creative Memories. The darker green/sage patterned paper is by Making Memories. I didn't die cut those squares because I don't think I own regular square dies. I just cut them with my trimmer. The tag and the eyelet are unknown.

I die cut the elephant for the blue card with a Dreamweaver Stencils nesting die. This card uses blue cardstock by Recollections and patterned paper by Making Memories. The ribbon and the charm were decorations at a baby shower that I went to and kept for this sort of reason. I love this card and it was so simple to make. Bonus!

Pretty in Pink Thank You Card

A new thank you card that I hope I sent it to the person it was intended for. (Ugh! I make cards but can't seem to get them in the mail.)

The pink cardstock is a card base by Cordinations. I stamped the Hero Arts background stamp with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with Personal Stamp Exchange embossing powder. The color is called Bridal and I can see why. It has such a elegant shimmer to it. The wood double pennant is by Maya Road. I inked the wood with Worn Lipstick distress ink (Ranger) before stamping and heat embossing it with clear embossing powder.

Just for You Shaker Card

For my card today, I die cut the Design Objectives flower out of  SU cardstock, I stamped in red (Stampin Up ink) the Fiskars sentiment stamp on the label die by Clearly Besotted. There is a stamp that matches the die but I find it challenging to get the stamp and the die to match up for a perfect or even semi perfect stamped image that lines up with the die. It's an art form that I haven't mastered yet.

I used 3M dimensional adhesive and transparency film for the shaker by placing the red cardstock paper with the transparency upside down to prepare for the next step. I taped the transparency to the red cardstock, then adding the dimensional adhesive around the flower shape all the way to the edges of each piece of the flower. I poured the sequins and shaker stuff inside the bowl like opening that I made with the dimensional adhesive. I removed the release paper of the dimensional adhesive and adhered a piece of white cardstock to be the background of the shaker. As to close up the "bowl". I adhered dimensional adhesive to the rest of the red panel before adhering it to the polka dot paper (Studio G). Wow, I hope I said that correctly.

The sequins and beads in the shaker are unknown and the gold strips of sequins came off an old dance costume. What else will or can I use 4 totes full of costumers for? Maybe, when my niece gets older and can fit in them, she will be as fond of them as I am.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Deep Red Stamps Scooter

Today's card features a scooter stamp by

I stamped the scooter onto Ranger watercolor paper with Hero Arts black ink and then colored it in with Peerless watercolors and distress ink. I matted the image with blue paper by Color-Aid. I dry embossed a piece of white cardstock with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I matted the white with a piece of black cardstock. The sentiment is a die cut by Jolee's/EK Success. I added rick-rack to each of the bottom corners.

Manly Monday Grandpa

I made this card for a friend to give to her father-her kids' grandpa. The card is a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2. My Cricut doesn't cut intricate and/or small images very well. The cartridge is Home Decor and More, which was a freebie a while back and I loved this image. When I would try to cut it smaller my Cricut wasn't having anything to do with that. This was the smallest size that it would cut well. Very frustrating. In fact my Cricut has been removed from its spot and is on the floor. I'm really fed up with its crappy cuts which is wasting my paper and my time. I'm stamping, using stickers and printing off my computer these days. OK rant over. The sentiment is also a Cricut cut by (maybe) Plantin Schoolbook. The background paper is by Deja Views.

Thanks for looking. Have a great week.

Mom ATC's

Mother's Day ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) for my swap at Scrapbook.com

All the ATC's have a chipboard "M" that are unknown. I like the way these one turned out. I usually don't like to do all the same thing when it comes to these swaps. I felt like these ATC's were different maybe because of the colors or because each one has unique differences (I used a stencil for on and a stamp for another) that made them feel like they were different but yet are alike. I'll stop rambling.

Green ATC
The patterned paper by Making Memories
The background paper (teal) is by Color Aid
The white cardstock by American Crafts and green by Creative Memories
The letter stamps by Fiskars and ink by SU (Bermuda Bay)
 and the brad is unknown

Orange
The background cardstock is by Provo Craft.
I inked a Tim Holtz stencil with distress ink
The bottom right corner is Alcohol inks by Ranger on glossy paper
The letter stamps by Fiskars and ink by SU
 and the brad is unknown

Pink

The letter stickers by Freckled Fawn
Yellow paper is watercolor paper by Ranger that has been covered with Peerless watercolors

Thank you for looking. Have a great day.

Recycled ATC's

I joined an ATC (Artist Trading Cards) swap at Scrapbook.com and the theme was recycled/upcycled/junk in your house. I was going to do a bunch of different cards but as I made them I loved them so much that I kept in for my collection. I'll show those ATC's in the near future.

I used a fun background stamp by Deep Red Stamps called Esprit Parfumerie Label which you can also find it at Scrapbook.com where I post a lot of my layouts. I stamped the background stamp onto white cardstock with Hero Arts black ink. I proceeded to add color with distress ink (Scattered Straw and Worn Lipstick) with an ink blending tool both by Ranger. The We R Memory Keepers Crop-a-Dile pierced a hole into the center of the ribbon so I could set a large eyelet. Fray Check (Prym Consumer USA Inc.) was applied around the hole to keep the ribbon from fraying. Once the Fray Check was dry I set the eyelet with the Crop-a-Dile. Next was the hard part working with the buckle and ribbon to make everything look smooth and cohesive. Once buckles were in place with the ribbon and eyelet I used 3D and large Zots under the ribbon to secure everything together. The ribbon, the eyelets and the buckles are from my mother-in-law's stash.

I just now noticed that the first ATC has a flaw. I didn't thread the ribbon correctly on the left side. Ugh! Funny thing to me is that I just now noticed that. I guess what would a blog post be if I didn't say Ugh?

Sassy Studio Designs Sketch with Elsa

This is for the Thursday night challenge at Sassy Studio Designs the Thursday challenge  is
This I colored in Elsa Queen Coronation Sassy with Copic markers and some colored pencils by Stampin Up.

I always have a problem coloring her hair. I think of the hair color as a white almost grey like this picture:

but then in a different light it looks like a light blonde like this picture:

Here she is in her coronation dress:

and in this dress I don't know which I see more of-white or blonde. Either way I'm not impressed with the way I colored her hair and so I'll call it, "a work in progress".

For the rest of my card I used the Creative Memories cutting system to die cut the image into an oval. The patterned papers are by My Mind's Eye and Memories in the Making. The card base has a glittery finish (David Tutera) and funny thing-I taped the pieces of the card on upside down. Ugh! The embossing folder is by Darice and I inked the edges with Evergreen Bough distress ink (Ranger). The sentiment is a download from Heidi Swapp and I stuck with a generic sentiment to make this card any occasion needed say for a birthday card, go job card or even a happy holidays card. To finish up the snowflakes are a mix of K and Co stickers and some snowflakes are a Marvy punch.

Thanks for looking.

Copic colors I used:
Cape-V04, RV17 and Faber Castell colored pencil #125
Hair-C00, C01, Y000, W0
Dress-BG18, BG34, BG11, a Stampin Up colored pencil and Faber Castell #162
Gloves-BG34, BG11, Faber Castell #162
Top of dress-C5, C3, C7
Lips-R85
Eyes-B00, B02, B04
The gold highlights come from a gold Wink of Stella pen

God's Love

I had no reason to make this card other than I hadn't used the cherry blossom stamp set yet. Unfortunately I have many stamps that haven't seen ink yet. It's a crying shame but the scrapbooks must get done before the boys graduate.

The cherry blossom stamp and the border at the bottom are both by Autumn Leaves. The sentiment stamp has wondered off leaving me with out a manufacturer. All are stamped with brown Stampin Up ink. Then I didn't wait for the brown ink to dry before going over the stamp with blue distress ink (Ranger) which made the brown smear slightly. at first look you probably wouldn't see it but it bothered me. Therefore I covered the flowers with Glossy Accents (Ranger) to distract from the mistake I made. I rounded the corners of the white cardstock (Recollections) and adhered it to brown cardstock (Stampin Up).

Thank you for stopping by and taking a look.

Skater Upcycled Card

I upcycled a tissue box as my background to this card. I really liked the pattern on the box and wanted to use it. The skater is a Cricut from the Winter Wonderland cartridge. I used Recollections,Bazzill and Making Memories paper to cut her out. The snowflakes are a Creative Memories punch that I covered the with a Wink of Stella clear pen. The sentiment is an old stamp that I stamped with a dark green ink.

April Sketches in Thyme PL

Back again this month we the Sketches in Thyme Project Life  sketch challenge. The sketch is by Emma Prescott.

I used a background stamp by Deep Red Stamp called Circles Rubber Stamp. I stamped it onto the tag with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I inked the tag with distress ink by Ranger. I made the title in Cricut Craft Room with the tags from the the Small Talk cartridge and the and the font is Cuttin Up.

The patterned paper on the left, the green paper on the right and the chipboard that says "Cool" are all by Making Memories. I messed around with the placement of the photos too many times and ended up ripping some of the polka dot paper. To fix that I circle punched out a scrap piece from the PP and adhere them all over with foam tape on some and regular tape on others. The blue cardstock is by Provo Craft and the brown cardstock and ribbon are both from my stash. The blue ribbon is by Stampin Up. The piece of brown chipboard is from my stash and I inked it with brown distress ink.

Pink Get Well Card

Welcome. My card today uses the Upsy Daisy stamp by Stampin Up. I colored the rubber in with distress markers and sprayed the stamp with water before stamping it onto the watercolor paper. I sprayed it with water again and stamped the right side of the card. You can sort of tell because the one side is darker than the other. I ripped the edge of the watercolor paper on the bottom and adhered it to a rainbow piece of patterned paper (unknown manufacturer). I adhered the two pieces to the pink background paper by Studio G. The die cut with the unknown sentiment is by Cuttlebug and the ribbon by The Paper Studio.

Best Wishes Background Card

My card today uses a Hero Arts background stamp that I stamped with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I colored the images in with Peerless watercolors and a water pen by Ranger. The sentiment is a Just Rite stamp stamped on Color-Aid cardstock with Hero Arts black ink. I also put the same cardstock on the bottom. The ribbon is unknown.

Sassy Studio Designs

This week at Sassy Studio Designs the Thursday challenge  is

Tic-Tac-Toe

Choose three in a row to create your project.

I chose the center row of stitching real or fake, flowers, and sentiment.

I love this image and finally get to use it. I printed the image out onto Ranger watercolor paper and used Peerless watercolors and distress inks to color in the image. I matted black cardstock behind the image by Recollections. The blue and the green cardstock are by Paper Reflections and the red is by Recollections. The stitching on the card is a rub-on by Die Cuts with a View.

The flowers are by Prima and the center is a glittery dot by Recollections. The sentiment is a Fiskars stamp that I stamped with Hero Arts black ink onto a Spellbinders die.

Pink ATC's

I joined the ATC (Artist Trading Cards) Swap at Scrapbook.com. The theme for this set yellow and pink. I chose to do a couple of variations of pink but the yellow is pretty close the same.

Lace ATC
I started adding yellow distress ink color to the yellow background with a scallop stencil. It's hard to see. I had to look at my directions twice to figure out what the heck is this talking about but it's there if you look closer. I stamped the lace border by Deep Red Stamps with pink ink by Umbrella onto Recollections yellow cardstock. I matted the yellow onto a piece of light pink cardstock by Provo Craft. The dies on my card are negatives to a Cricut Easter egg cut in Cricut Craft Room.

Art ATC
For this ATC  I used the  back of a Coredinations card that I messed up on. I stamped the Deep Red Stamps circle background stamp on to the pink cardstock with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder by Hero Arts. I inked the edges of the card with pink distress ink and then the tag with yellow distress ink, Both inking of the edges was done with an ink blending tool by Ranger. The yellow cardstock through the center is watercolor paper by Ranger that has been inked with Peerless watercolors. It was a left over scrap that I wanted to use and not waste. The tag and chipboard flowers are unknown however the word "art" is a sticker by Creative Imaginations.

Joy ATC
For this one I used background paper by Best Creations. The yellow paper is watercolor paper (same as above) by Ranger and colored in with Peerless watercolors. The sunburst chipboard is by Maya Road that I painted with yellow paint by Pebbles. The "joy" sticker is by Current and I added star foam dies by Lawn Fawn. The foam is by Tiny Crafts at Dollar General and twine by Oriental Trading Co.

Manly Monday Acorn

Today I have a masculine thank you card to share. The acorn, the sentiment and the ink are all by Stampin Up and the box stamp is by Fiskars. The patterned paper is by Studio Calico which I have dry embossed with a leaves embossing folder. I went over the leaves with a cat eye chalk ink by Colorbox but it didn't make the leaves stand out enough for me. I went over them again with distress ink and an ink blending tool. From there I decided to add ink around the edges of the patterned paper. I really like the way it turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great Monday!
