Kenny K Boy Birthday card

I made this new card for the Kenny K tic tac toe challenge. My 4 things are Swirls, Digi image, ribbon and die cuts.

I colored this Kenny K image in using my Copic markers. My shading is off a little bit but I don't think the boy I'm going to give it to will notice.

The cardstock is by Michael's and Colorbok. The navy blue cardstock I embossed with a Darice embossing folder. I die cut the image and sentiment using Spellbinders dies. The ink I used on the image is by Ranger, ink for the swirls stamp (by TPC Studio) is by Close to my Heat and the sentiment stamp (by Stampin Up) was stamped with Tsukineko ink. The ribbon on my card is by Karen Foster.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Manly Monday

With Father's Day on it's way I have been busy making cards to sell at my stores. This one is pretty simple but my husband says that is what a manly Monday card should be, simple. The patterned paper is by DCWV Guy Stack. I inked the edges with Ranger Distress inks. The burlap is from my stash and the screw brads are by The Paper Studio.

Guy cards I spotted this week; I apologize for not having but two this week. I have been crazy busy with an upcoming wedding (May 4). Just putting the finishing touches on it is taking me forever.

Manly Monday Earth Day edition

I thought since today is Earth day I would show you some cards I made using recycled items.
For my first card I used the clear plastic that your stickers comes on with blue alcohol ink from Ranger. I save my pieces to use on future projects. The background stamp is by Hero Arts, boom box by Imaginsce, with the headphones by Stampibilities. The notes are stickers from The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby and the Dad stickers are by Creative Memories. I use Making Memories eyelets on the corners. I think eyelets are a manly item. The ink I used on this card is by Stampin Up (white) and Hero Arts (black). The headphones were cut out and the boom box was cut out using a Spellbinders die.

My second card is very CAS but I like it. I used a Monster tab from a can as my embellishment. I don't usually use ribbon on my manly cards but sometimes you have to break the rules. The stamp and ink are by Hero Arts. I then used Offray ribbon across the top and bottom. The pop tab is up on foam adhesive with the ribbon wrapped around it. I tried to hide the ribbon underneath the lower part of the tab. It took some messing with but I finally got it to look like I wanted it to. I love the splash of green for this card and my husband loved how simple it was.

To My Mother

I used this flower cart stamp on Wednesday's post for the chalk challenge at Chalk Ah Lot. It's great to see the versatility that using stamps can accomplish. Check out the post HERE. I'm big into making Mother's Day cards lately. I sell quite a few cards this time of year and Stamp N Plus has great images for any type of mom.
For my card I chose to use words from the sentiment stamps by combining them together. The stamp set can be found below if you would like to purchase it.
I used a doily by Little Yellow Bicycle, patterned paper by Basic Grey, flower by Stamping Scrapping, ribbon by Offray and a die cut from my Cricut. Thanks for looking

The green stems and leaves colored powdered chalk is Lime and Mossy Green

Sequined Mom

Sequins are hot right now. I happen to have a bunch in my stash from years of teaching dance although I did have to buy some purple and brown sequins to make a few Mother's Day cards.

I glued the sequins onto the back of a heat embossed sentiment using multi liquid glue by Tombow. I used Versa Mark ink and Stampenous embossing powder on this Studio G sentiment on Bazzill cardstock. It's a fun look that I love how it turned out. The background paper is by Colorbok-love the color, the strip of patterned paper behind the flower is baby paper from K and i Memories and the flower is by Imaginisce.

Grunge Bookmark

Check out my Manly Monday post HERE

For my second bookmark for Mark's Finest Papers, I used chalk ink by Colorbox on a background stamp by Stampin Up (canvas) for the bottom portion of the card. I was going for a grunge look with this stamp. The circle stamps are by Papertrey Ink and I used ink by Close to My Heart and Stampin Up. The small letter stamps are by Stampin Up. The tassel was in my stash from many years ago. I set an eyelet at the top and strung the tassel through it.

Manly Monday

For this week's post I have a bookmark to show you. I made it for the challenge at Mark's Finest papers. My nephew has been asking me to make him a bookmark and so this challenge was the perfect kick in the behind I needed.

For this bookmark I heat embossed the music instruments stamps by Stampibilities with Versa Mark ink and black Stampendous embossing powder. Then I used blue distress ink to change it's color. The circle at the bottom right reminded me of the inside of a speaker. The stamp is by Papertrey Ink with ink by Ranger. The PJB (his initials) stamps are by Stampin Up with ink by Close to My Heart.

My card for this week is for the upcoming holiday Father's Day. The patterned paper is by DCWV Guy Stack. I inked the edges with Ranger distress ink and an ink blending tool. The brads are by The Paper Studio and the burlap is from my stash. I used foam adhesive on the title. A very easy card for the fix it kind of guy in our lives.
