Deep Red Stamps Enchanting Moments Card

Start with a piece of Basic Grey patterned paper size 4 x 5 ½ and adhere to the top 3 pennants of different lengths using My Mind’s Eye patterned paper. Die cut a brown cardstock butterfly with Cricut. Stamp the Floral Mosaic background stamp (Deep Red Stamps #4x604417) with black Hero arts ink onto off white cardstock. Color in one of the flower shapes found in the background stamp, with gold Smooches ink by Clearsnap. Cut the flower shape out and ink edges with distress ink (Ranger). Adhere butterfly die cut as shown and arrange the stamped image in the center. Set a gold brad (Creative Imaginations) in the center. Add two K and Co premade flower die cuts, a chipboard sentiment by Prima and alphabet stickers by Making Memories for the word “Moments”. Adhere the front panel to an off-white card base (Recollections).

Dog Sympathy Card Updated

I have a pet sympathy card today. I used a Gina Marie dog stamp that I inked it with Clearsnap pigment ink with a lighter color all over and a darker color around the edges. I matted the image with orange cardstock by Bazzill. The sentiment is from the internet that I inked the edges with the same ink as the dog. The bone is a Cricut cut from the Cricut Sampler. I think the background paper is by The Paper Studio but I'm not positive.

Have a great day and thanks for looking.

Flowery Birthday Girl Card

I'm so very behind on everything.
I'm not sure where my days go.
I'm not sure why everything takes so long.
I'm not sure where the easy button is.

I do know this, my blog is being neglected.
I need to work on better time management.

Oh well...
For my card today,
I stamped a Stampin Up flower stamp with Colorbox ink and let the ink dry before cutting it out with the matching die. I layered the flower on top of a Imaginisce flower and onto a flower like die cut. The die cut is from the Cricut cartridge Elegant Edges cut out with paper by Sunborn and Bazzill. The brad in the center of the layered flowers is by We R Memory Keepers. The left side patterned paper is unknown but the birthday girl patterned paper is by Jillibean Soup.

Fruity ATC cards

My cards today were for the ATC swap. theme: the color orange, primary orange. The tangerine chipboard is a clothing tag that I cut off the edges with corner decorative scissors and inked the edges orange. The background is a Stampin Up canvas background stamp. I stamped it onto orange cardstock with white Studio Calico paint. I inked the edges orange.

The yellow cardstock on the right side is by Paper Reflections.I sprayed the cardstock with orange Smooches spray by Clear Snap. Once it dried, I stamped a Hero Arts tropical leaves stamp on top using Tsukineko green ink, which I think is called bamboo leaves. It's faint but I like that. Then I randomly cut the edge off to keep the orange in site.

I cut up these Hawaiian menus that Grandma had saved from their cruise in 1985 to get all the little words. (Oh yes, she still had them) I adhered the words to the tag and outlined them with,a white Sharpie marker. The fruit stickers are by American Crafts/Amy Tangerine, the pineapple brads by Eyelet Outlet and the rhinestones from my stash.

The only difference between this second one and the rest is, I added some Spellbinders dies above the tag. It may have been to cover up a mistake. It was also stamped with the leaves stamp.

Deep Red Stamps and Xyron Blog Hop Day 4 + Giveaway

Welcome back to day 4 of the Deep Red Stamps and Xyron blog hop.

I made a layout for my nephew's scrapbook using:

Liberty Bell rubber stamp by Deep Red Stamps

Xyron Create-a-Sticker 250 for the fireworks, the tabs along the inside of the bottom two photos and on the liberty bell.

I started with a white piece of cardstock, glimmer mist (Tattered Angels), Smooch spray ink (Clearsnap) and a star stencil (The Crafter's Workshop). I masked off a portion of the cardstock and sprayed the blue ink over the stencil and then the red. You can see at the top where I did the masking and I didn't like the separation line of the two colors. It was too bold and I wanted a more airy feel to it. From there I sprayed some more ink and inked the edges with distress ink and an ink blending tool (Ranger).

I die cut the fireworks from my Cricut (Ultimate Series cartridge) using blue cardstock (Stampin Up) and red sparkle paper (Recollections). The tabs are also die cuts from my Cricut (Art Philosophy cartridge) and I adhered a date sticker (SRM Stickers) and a 4th of July sticker (The Paper Studio). The photo mats are patriotic theme cards for pocket scrapbooking (Project Life). All the corners of the pictures and the white background paper were rounded (Creative Memories) to match the PL mats. I did not round the corners of the blue background paper (Prima) because I didn't want the other layout to show through. Hope that made sense.

The Liberty Bell is stamped onto off white cardstock (Recollections) with a grey shadow ink (Hero Arts). I inked the edges of the stamped image to match the edges of the background paper. The red mat behind the stamp is red (Stampin Up) with a very gold sparkle to it. I sprayed the red with a mix of gold Perfect Pearls (Ranger) and water. It's so pretty I hated to cover it up.

The semi circle on the left, the word is stamped with a Lawn Fawn alphabet stamp called Harold. The tag in the lower right has been stenciled with a The Crafter's Workshop that I sprayed with Smooches Spritz yellow spray and then stamped with the same alphabet. The title is from Pack Your Bags, the date by Don Juan, VA Beach tag and semi circle by CTMH Art Philosophy,

Easter Layout from Jake’s book

I am making a scrapbook for my nephew and my sister has not been as organized as I would have liked her to be. So I have Easter pictures that are not dated however these ones were labeled and so I put them together in one layout. I decided that I don't have to go in chronological order. That's new to me and almost makes me break out in hives. I'm working through it and you will see that come out in the next few months.

The patterned papers are by Making Memories and the cardstocks are by Studio G and Recollections. The title is a Cricut cut using the Cuttin Up cartridge. The center line of eggs is a bunch of different products. The orange and multiple colored small eggs were Cricut cuts but I'm not sure of the cartridge. It was a freebie on Cricut Craft Room. The pink stamped egg is a Close to My Heart stamp and the yellow and orange sparkle egg is a Studio G stamp. I colored it in with Clearsnap smooch ink and Ranger Stickles on the stars. The black stamped eggs are by Stamp N Plus stamps that I stamped with Hero Arts black ink. I colored them in with powdered chalk that I mixed with paint. Then I fussy cut the eggs out and added them to border. The eyelets are by Eyelet Outlet.

Mermaid Card

Today's card is kind of fun a beach themed. The mermaid stamp is by Inkadinkado and I have inked it with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with platinum embossing powder by Ranger Industries. Then I brought in some Smooch Ink by Clearsnap to color the image in. I cut her out into a square and matted her on to the scallop square die cut by Spellbinders with Quick Quotes patterned paper. I also die cut a piece of blue fun foam with the same scallop square die cut to give it some dimension. The sort of background paper is by K and Co, the helm is die cut from my Cricut and Life's a Beach cartridge and finally the little sentiment square under the helm is by Quick Quotes. I forgot to say the card base is pre-made by recollections.

Newton's Nook Thinking of You

I have a new card to share with you today using stamps by Newton's Nook. I love this Versatile Vases stamp set because you can build your own flower arrangement.

I stamped the combination of flowers and pot onto Ranger watercolor cardstock with Hero Arts black ink. I used Stampin Up watercolor pencils to color the image in and then used a water pen by Ranger and water to smooth out the colors and edges of the colored pencils. I die cut the image out with a Spellbinders die cut and inked the inside with distress ink. The die cut behind the image was cut out using my Cricut. The paper on top is by Color-Aid and has been dry embossed with a Gina Marie Butterflies embossing folder. The bottom paper is unknown but the ribbon is old by Ben Franklin's and the sentiment, by Newton's Nook, is stamped with Clearsnap pigment ink.

Pink Mom Card

These pictures look so gloomy I may have to rephotograph them. The top part of the card is patterned paper Recollections that has a light pink design and then the bold black polka dots. The bottom of the card is a small background stamp by Inkadinkado that I stamped with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder on white cardstock. Then I inked the area with Spun Sugar distress ink by Ranger using an ink blending tool. Then background is an odd size because it is too small for a card lengthwise and too big if you turn the stamp on quarter turn. (I'm trying so hard to explain myself and I don't think it's clear what I'm trying to say.) But anyway I had to cut the piece down to fit across the bottom and once I did that I placed a black cardstock strip of paper over the seam of the top and bottom pieces of paper. I used Lawn Fawn alphabet stamps for my sentiment along with Stampin Up white pigment ink.

The flowers and stems stamps and dies are by Stampin Up. I stamped the flowers with Clearsnap pigment ink and the stems with Hero Arts shadow ink. I layered and staggered two stems on top of each other to extend the length for the higher flower.

Lots of stamping in this card but that's what I love to do.

With Sympathy

Today's card uses a Clearly Besotted stamp and die cut. I die cut the shape first before stamping it because the die is closed and I wouldn't be able to see if it was cutting out correctly whereas I can see where I'm stamping with the clear stamps. The flowers and the stems/leaves are separate stamps but I did the same technique for each. I inked the stamp with a light color and stamped it and then went in with a darker color, rubbing some of it away first and stamping on top of the already stamped image. I didn't have two good shades of yellow so I went with an orange color. The ink pads I used are by Stampin Up, Close to my Heart, and Clearsnap.

I adhered the flower die cut onto a Spellbinders die cut.The sentiment is stamped with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with Ranger's platinum embossing powder. The patterned papers are by Studio G.

Thinking of you

I'm thinking of you today with a background stamp by Deep Red Stamps
It's a fun design called Burlwood
I inked the stamp with Versa Color Bronze pigment ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. I then matted it onto brown cardstock by Bazzill and onto a card base made from cardstock by Oriental Trading Co.

I made the sentiment on my computer using a font from Font Space. Love to download free fonts. This one is called Waking up. I inked the edges with Ranger Distress Ink and matted it onto the came brown cardstock.

The flowers are stickers by Martha Stewart. I matted the larger one onto a few Spellbinders dies. The paper for the smaller scallop circle is by Hot Off the Press. The larger circle is cardstock by Recollections. I sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and also some Clearsnap Smooch spray.

That's it for today. Come back tomorrow when I post another card using Deep Red Stamps.

To my Mother

I'm working on making Mother's Day cards and thought I'd share one with you today. This one I used sentiment stamps by Stamp N Plus and the ink is by Hero Arts. Love that bold black ink. The flower was cut out using my Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge. I sprayed it with Smooch Spritz by Clear Snap before assembling it. The center is flower is one of those little roses you find at craft stores. The back of the flower is a heat embossed stamp by Hero Arts with ink by Versa Mark and embossing powder by Stampendous. The pink color comes from Spun Sugar distressing ink. As a whole the stamped background was a fail but a small portion cut out using my Spellbinders die made the perfect background for my flower. The leaves are by Prima and the patterned paper for this card is by Imaginisce.

Thanks for stopping by.

If you are interested in the sentiment stamp I used for this card check out all of them that you get in the picture below. You can call and order it at 715-271-1873. Tell Luann that you saw it on Cindy's blog.

Merci card

I really like this Thank You card. It is so simple yet looks so nice. The patterned paper is by The Paper studio. The embossing folder is by Cuttlebug. I used Smooch ink by Clearsnap to sort of paint the word "Merci". It makes it pop out a bit. The tag is by Basic Grey. I didn't like the pattern on the front so I flipped it over and used the white back. The rub on is by American Crafts. Cardstock by Sunborn and Hobby Lobby. Thanks for looking.

Bird-day party

My mom bought me this stamp set by Layers of Color called birdday party. I've never had a stamp set by them before. I think they are nice and wanted to show you a card I made using it.
For this card I just used the sentiment stamp from the set. It goes great with the embossing folder by Provo Craft. To get the embossed areas different colors I used Smooch ink by Clearsnap. I used different shades of green to give a shadow affect along with some dots of purple mixed in there.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks to my good friend Cindy for cheering me up on this beautiful sunny Saturday. I'm so thankful for her friendship. She knows how to lift me up when I am down.

I used an embossing folder from Provo Craft and then used Smooch ink by Clearsnap to accent the word thanks. Stop by their blog to see all the fun stuff you can do with their products. They have a Pin it to Win it contest going on. Check it out!
