Owl Trio of cards

I have a set of fun owl cards to show you today. I had this pack of 4 owl stickers by Jolee's that I wanted to make in a similar fashion. I had already used the 1st owl on THIS card, which was fine but now I wish I would have had them as a full set of four.

Each owl is on a decorative die cut by Elle's Studio and the pink owl also has a purple Spellbinders die added to the layers. The card bases are smaller 3.5x5 and are pre-made by Coredinations. The side border is turquoise cardstock by Recollections and Bazzill with a Martha Stewart border sticker over them. The sentiments are die cuts cut from my Cricut out of white Recollections cardstock. The first card's greeting is from the cartridge Wild Card and the other two are from the cartridge Straight from the Nest.

That's all for now. Have a great Saturday.

Sassy Studio Flashback Friday

Sassy Studio Designs Flashback Friday images are discounted this week. There are 4 images this week that are $2.00 and they are Santa Pin-up, Reindeer Pin-Up, Candy Cane Elf, and Don't Open until Christmas. Check them out at the Sassy Studio Designs Store.

For my card I used Santa Pin-Up and printed the image out onto Cryogen cardstock and colored her with Copic markers. Then I die cut her our with a Sizzix die and selected the Die Cuts With a View patterned paper. The sparkle foliage came from a Christmas decoration that we no longer wanted but it is fun for some cards. The sentiment and ink are by Hero Arts and then I fussy cut them out.

Thanks for looking.

Tree bark Background Stamp by Deep Red Stamps

I made today's card using the Tree bark background stamp by Deep Red Stamps.
I heat-embossed the background with Versa Mark ink and clear embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. Then I used Stamp N Plus copper powdered chalk called Ritzy mixed with paint and smeared it onto the cardstock. I love the way it turned out.

Other products include a sentiment by The Paper Loft, die cuts by Spellbinders, patterned background paper by Cosmo Cricket, Jute by Tim Holtz at Ranger Industries, and the epoxy sticker by Studio G.

My card uses Stamp N Plus powdered chalk mixed with paint colored onto the pattern of the dry embossing folder by Cuttlebug. I used that same mixture to color the top of the Cricut Thanks die cut. Deep Red Stamps Esprit Parfumerie Background Stamp Card

The stamp I use on my card today is called the Esprit Parfumerie stamp and is by Deep Red Stamps.
I stamped the large stamp with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with Stamp N Plus gold embossing powder 3 times. Once on each circle and then the white background. The gold paper is by American Crafts, the black by Recollections, and the white is distressed watercolor paper only because I didn't know what I was going to do with it when I embossed it. The only other thing that I know is the sentiment is a Sticko/EK Success sticker.

Thanks for looking.

Through the Craft Room Door

Today there is a new Through the Craft Room Door  which is Anything goes.

I'm a new DT member to this challenge and here is my first card. We were sponsored by Little Claire and here is this fun elephant image that I got to play with. I printed it out onto HP photo paper and used Ranger's alcohol inks to create this color over the elephants. It took a ton of practicing to get the right color to match the DCWV patterned paper. I matted the image onto black Recollections cardstock and finished it off with some Tim Holtz jute and a button I had on hand.

Thanks for looking.

Rapunzal from Tangled Sassy Studio image card

So you are never going to believe this one, I get to be the GDT for Sassy Studio Designs for the month of December too. How awesome is that. I better get to coloring. :).

So for today's card I used the Rapunzel Sassy image and I printed her out onto Ranger's watercolor paper. I colored her in with distress markers and a water pen both by Ranger and then die cut her out with a Spellbinders die. My bling part of the card are the circles behind that image which happen to be glitter paper by The Paper Studio. I cut the circles using my Creative Memories Cutting System and then I cut the circle in half so it would spread across the back of the die cut. The hearts and pennant are die by a Lawn Fawn and the paper is by Recollections. The sentiment stamp is by K and i Memories in Hero Arts black ink. The pink paper is dry embossed but it's hard to see in the photo. Both pink and purple papers are by Recollections and the ribbon is unknown.

Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Truck

I have 9 new masculine cards to share today. A couple of them are for the younger gents but still fun to get ideas from. Enjoy.

For my card today I used a Great Impressions truck stamp for my focal image. The stamp actually has a fishing pole on it but I just cut that piece off because the recipient of this card has a truck like the stamp and in blue. I stamped the truck with Hero Arts black ink onto Ranger's watercolor paper. I colored it in with a water pen and distress markers and cut it out. I adhered it to two Spellbinders die cuts made from scraps of paper I had lying around. The background paper on the card base is dry embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The white cardstock in my card is by Recollections. The sentiment stamp is a Gina Marie stamp that comes from the All Seasons Stamp Set and is stamped in Hero Arts black ink.

Thanks for looking.

Shaped Christmas Card at the challenge blog Christmas cards All Year Round

There's a new challenge this month at Christmas Cards all Year Round that I hope you will join in and play. The challenge is shape cards other than square or rectangle.
I made this Christmas card using a Sizzix die cut by doubling up the cardstock and leaving a bit over the creased edge. It makes a beautiful top folding card. Then I die cut the red cardstock by Stampin Up and also the blue patterned paper from Simon Says Stamp. The snowman stamp by Paper Smooches is white heat embossed with Versa Mark ink and myStamp Box powder and then paper pieced together. The red patterned paper is by Scenic Route {very old indeed} and the black and also the white cardstock used in the card are both by Recollections. The sentiment stamp is by Hero Arts and is stamped with red Stampin Up ink. The foam sparkly snowflake thingies are from Hobby Lobby.

Thanks for looking.

Do you wanna build a snowman?

Today is the first day of the Sassy Studio Designs Facebook challenge. It's pretty cool because they give you the image for free and all you have to do is make something with that image before Dec 26th and upload it to the FB album. Here are the prizes:

1st Place- Will recieve a $10.00 gift card and also gets to be guest designer for the month. Which entitles them to more free images and new release images for that month.

2nd Place- $10.00 gift card.

3rd Place- $5.00 gift card

This month the free image is Olaf and he also comes with a sentiment that is super cute but I didn't use it for this card. I printed him out onto Cryogen cardstock and lightly colored him with Copic markers. I decided to fussy cut him out leaving a little border around the edge of the. I dug out some old DCWV patterned paper that I just had a few pieces to work with. I adhered the background paper to a white Recollections card front and then matted the second piece of patterned paper onto blue cardstock also by DCWV.

The snowflake is foamy in dimension and part of a huge bucket of shapes for the winter season that I bought my niece from Hobby Lobby. The rick rack, though hard to see because it is the same color as the background paper is by My Mind's Eye. The sentiment is a word die by Stampin Up, which is cardstock from an old Hallmark invitation that I will never use. It came from my Mother In Laws cards and things that I just went through and organized for her. I covered the die cut with a clear Wink of Stella pen. It does sparkle in real life. THANKS FOR LOOKING.

So I hope you will join us on the Sassy Studio Designs Facebook page for some free images and the chance to win great prizes. It is a closed group that you send a request to join and someone gets to it within 24 hours. Then you send a request for the images via email. I tell you all this so you will jump over there and get the goods before Dec 26th rolls around. HERE is a list of the rules for this challenge. Good Luck

Fall Thanks Cards for Chalk Ah Lot Café

I forgot to post my Chalk Ah Lot card for the start of the last challenge. So today I will post both cards. The challenge is Thanks/Thankful/Thanksgiving with chalk. All of the powdered chalk I used on my two cards is by Stamp N Plus. I combine the powdered chalk with their paint and use a fine-tip paintbrush to apply the mixture to my card. I used many different colors for these two cards which can be found over on the right-hand side of the website.

For the first card, I stamped and heat embossed a cornucopia stamp by Stamp N Plus. Colored it in as told above and then inked the edges with distress ink. The image is matted onto patterned paper by DCWV and adhered to the card front with foam adhesive. The card front has patterned paper by K and Co, a doily by Little Yellow Bicycle, the ribbon by The Paper Studio, and a wooden feather by Maya Road that has been painted with red crackle paint by Ranger.

My second card is an embossing folder by Cuttlebug that I painted over the raised area. The sentiment is by Stamp N Plus and the orange paper behind is by CGull.
