I have a new card to share today using powdered chalk colors Gem and Floggy by Stamp N Plus. I used a cosmetic sponge with paint and chalk mixed together to form the background colors. I used watercolor paper for this card to get a textured look. The Egg stamps can by found HERE and are also by Stamp N Plus. The sentiment stamp can be purchased by calling Luann at 715-271-1873. I've included a picture below showing you all the sentiments that come with your order. Very versatile and worth every penny.

A Bridal Shower card

I used my Cricut to create the label dies. I accidently got glue in the center and was so mad it wouldn't come off. I took a scrap from my desk and snipped the edges to put over the mistake and love the way it turned out.

The background cardstock is by Sunborn where I stamped a Hero Arts stamp in a grey ink by Stampin Up. I then stamped my sentiment (by Sweet Stamps or Sweet Impressions Stamps) on the grey cardstock banner thingy using Hero Arts black ink. Once I adhered the label to the cardstock I went through my flower drawer and found these black and grey roses by Recollections. The flowers underneath them are from misc companies from way back before I cared what company made what product. The glitter dots are by Recollections.

Happy Easter In Holland Calendar Layout

Each year for Christmas I make multiple calendars for family members. This year I made 13 calendars. For my husband's family, the layouts are similar because they are all the same photos. For my blended family each one is unique/a little bit different.
For this page, I used patterned paper by Flair Designs (circa 2008) and then the grass paper is even older. The title is a die cut from my Cricut cartridge Phrases. It's four different layers-I love that. The egg stamps are by Stamp N Plus using ink by Colorbox.
Thanks for taking a look.

Special Day

I'm posting this card for the Stamp N Plus Blog today. The sentiment stamp can be found HERE. I love how this stamp could be used for a birthday, wedding, religious ceremony like baptism or any occasion. It is so versatile.
I learned how to make this fun pinwheel over at Desire's blog. She is super creative and does some fun techniques showcased on her beautiful cards.
The patterned paper is by K and Co. It came on a small pad with a decorative edge. The cardstock is by DCWV and the ink for the stamp is by Hero Arts.
I punched the circles out using an EK Success punch and the scallop circles using my Cricut Storybook cartridge. The center of the pinwheel is a glittery dot by Recollections. They were on sale a few months ago so I stocked up. The ribbon on my card is by Offray and the buttons are from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card.

Bottle Cap kind of day

It's a bottle cap kind of day. I found this set of bottle caps at Hobby Lobby and had my husband make them flatter to fit through the mail without extra postage. I intended this card for a birthday. I usually put greetings on the inside of cards. The background stamp is by Cloud 9 which I stamped in different stamp pads of turquoise. The die cut in the center is super old so I layered on it the Spellbinders scalloped circles along with the bottle cap and a K and Co puffy sticker. I had to use Glossy Accents to get the sticker to adhere to the bottle cap. I sewed around the edge of the big old die cut to add interest and then a bow at the bottom for texture. The sentiment stamp and ink are by Hero Arts.

Thanks for looking.

I made this card using patterned paper by Stampin Up and old Provo Craft. The cross stamp is by Stampin Up which I colored in with my Copic markers. The die cut it's on is by Spellbinders. I placed purple tulle behind the image and sentiment. The sentiment stamp is from Stamp N Plus stamped with Hero Arts ink. It is one of many that you get when you order the picture below. The leaf stamps were in my stash and I'm not sure their manufacturer.

Bicycle kind of day

Love this Lawn Fawn bike stamp. It screams spring to me. Other stamps I used to make my scene:
Clouds by Imaginisce
grass by Lawn Fawn (different set)
the sun is made by Fancy Pants
The sentiment is by Papertrey Ink
I stamped the bike and the sentiment with Hero Arts black ink and then colored in the bike with distress markers. The clouds were stamped and then filled with Stickles.
For the grass I masked off the bottom of the bike to create low spots where the tires of the bike are. The sun isn't actually a sun stamp. Its a doodled circle with some straight line accessories. I then loaded the sun with Stickles.

This would make a great birthday card..

To my Mother

I'm working on making Mother's Day cards and thought I'd share one with you today. This one I used sentiment stamps by Stamp N Plus and the ink is by Hero Arts. Love that bold black ink. The flower was cut out using my Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge. I sprayed it with Smooch Spritz by Clear Snap before assembling it. The center is flower is one of those little roses you find at craft stores. The back of the flower is a heat embossed stamp by Hero Arts with ink by Versa Mark and embossing powder by Stampendous. The pink color comes from Spun Sugar distressing ink. As a whole the stamped background was a fail but a small portion cut out using my Spellbinders die made the perfect background for my flower. The leaves are by Prima and the patterned paper for this card is by Imaginisce.

Thanks for stopping by.

If you are interested in the sentiment stamp I used for this card check out all of them that you get in the picture below. You can call and order it at 715-271-1873. Tell Luann that you saw it on Cindy's blog.

Green Good Luck St Patrick’s Day chalk card

There's a new chalk challenge at Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe:
Include green and chalk on your card or project.

Chalk doesn't necessarily have to be green, just green somewhere on your card and some chalk somewhere on your card. Please tell me where the chalk is in your blog post. {thanks}

For my card I started off by trying to paint the chipboard frame with Elmer's glue and powdered chalk Cool Green. It peeled off very easily and I didn't like that. So I flipped the chipboard over revealing the sticky side and decided to pat green chalk on the sticky part. It worked like a charm.

The stamped image in the center of the frame is Shamrock Spray and can be found HERE. In the shamrocks I glued on an individual bead for the centers. The cool green powdered chalk can be found HERE. The rest of the supplies for this card include patterned paper by Best Creations (stripes) and The Paper Studio (shamrocks) The brads are by American Crafts, frame by Prima, circle punch by EK Success, scallop die cut cut out using my Cricut and finally cardstock by DCWV (green) and Recollections (black and white). The beads in the centers of the shamrocks are a recycled item with no name on the tube and the sentiment rub on is from a crop where they didn't give us the packaging, just the rub-ons in an unmarked baggie.

Sending many thanks

This card showcases one of my favorite color right now. The green is more of a blue green and is so much fun to work with. The stamps for this card are by Unity Stamp Co. The green die cut is cut from Recollections cardstock using a Spellbinders die. I then embossed the circle once it was cut. The larger circle is a die cut made by Elle's Studio. I love the way it adds some white to make the green die cut stan out but how it also enters more colors to the card.
I wrapped some hemp around the two papers to hide the seam. The patterned paper on the left is by Colorbok and the paper on the right is by Bo Bunny.

Thanks for looking.

Thank you card from SNP

I took a little blog break this week. Back into the swing of things this weekend.
I'm posting this card for the Stamp N Plus blog. The basket Stamp J1450 is on a Spellbinders die cut. I used Ranger Distress ink Worn Lipstick. The sentiment sticker is by K and Co, patterned paper by Making Memories, border punch by EK Success, embossing folder by Provo Craft and cardstock by Recollections.

Thanks for looking.

Basket of yarn

I stamped this basket of yarn at a Stampin Up party I was at. I didn't stamp the yarn close enough to the basket so I took another one and cut the yarn out to fill up my basket. I colored in the image using my distress markers. I used purple tulle behind the image to spice things up. The sentiment stamp is by Stamp N Plus.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Scenic card for a special day

I have been playing with masking lately. I use the Inkadinkado masking paper because it works so well and comes in a compact size. This die cut is from my Cricut using the Creative Memories Holiday frames and tags cartridge. I cut out the shape and then cut out a frame around it. I then traced the outside of the shape and the inside of the frame on to masking paper then cut them out. From there I used my distressing inks (Broken China and Peeled Paint) to give the scene its outside appearance. Then I stamped THIS (M878) grass stamp multiple times along the bottom and THIS sun stamp on top in yellow. The ink I used on the sun is by Colorbox and the ink for the grass is by Close to my Heart.

The cardstock used on my card is by Recollections and Creative Memories (sand circle). The background patterned paper is from a fun pad by Die Cuts with a View called The Linen Closet pad and the scalloped edge patterned paper is by October Afternoon. I used punches by EK success for the sentiment and an embossing edge folder by Darice.

The sentiment stamp can be found HERE and the ink used for the sentiment is by Hero Arts.
It is one I use for multiple occasions such as birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation or I use it on the insides of cards for Mother's Day, Father's Day, random holidays that don't usually get a card and some religious ceremonies.

Check out my Manly Monday cards for other examples using this masking technique and grass stamp.

Thanks for stopping by.
