Simple Christmas tree stamp 2 ways

This is a simple tree stamp from an old Stampin Up set. They were both colored with Copic markers and put together with whatever I found laying around.

This one I added a Cricut die cut behind it and a star on top. I sprayed the cardstock with Ranger Perfect Pearls Mists, Sunflower sparkle.

For this next one, I used a scrap of patterned paper and two borders punched out of green Stampin Up cardstock with a Martha Stewart punch. I added a sentiment by Hero Arts on white cardstock and a star on top. When I colored the image I added a shadow to the left with a bunch of colors on the table.

Blast from the past Happy birthday card

My infrequent posting cards is because I am making scrapbook layouts in order to finish the many projects that loom around my craft room.

I've been looking around my blog to find scrapbook layouts for inspiration as well as some organizational clean up of my posts from the past. In doing so, I came across this card that has so much more to it than someone would know.

I would have used the by CM Cutting System for the bigger circle cut out.
I stamped the circle stamp kind of close to even to the die-cut and then inked with distress ink.
The smaller circle stamp is by Unity Stamp Co. I wonder how many times I stamped it and tried to punch it out in order to have even edges. (My hands didn't shake as bad back then.)

But... here are the things that I'm noticing:
One circle is white cardstock and the other is off white. No way in a card today!
The Unity Stamp circle is not inked.
The inks of the 2 circles are two different shades of brown.
The sentiment paper is not straight at all.
At all. Oh my. What is up with that?

It makes me think of how much time is put into each card. It's a ridiculous amount of time and I think that's why I'm not able to post every day like I always have. It's silly to post the same card with a small difference on multiple days. Post them all at once.

In fact, people used to ask me why I didn't make more than one of each and my reply was I would get bored doing the same card multiple times. True and I didn't want to send the same card to everybody. It's not as though they would find out and so what if they did but that mattered to me.
I also have to recall that in years past, I made the one card for a challenge or for using sketch or a design team deadline. Oh, Design teams...I'm so glad I got passed the need to feel worthy or that my cards were good if I was on a design team.
After all of that gibberish the point,

I'm doing more assembly line cards because the today Me thinks, Hey-I have the things out to make this card so why not make 2 or 3 of them.

Tomorrow I have a set of Manly Monday cards that I love and are a good example of the assembly line.

Idt if I would let that crocked sentiment pass quality control in a card today.
But maybe it was a moment of quick slap a sentiment on it and get it in the mail before it's late.

Thank you for looking at my card and letting me talk about it.
The card is from 9-21-2011

Upcycled Circle Christmas card

The sentiment is large. I cut it out with a CM circle cutting system.
The background paper is by Martha Stewart.
I dry embossed it with a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder and inked it with distress ink. It's hard to tell.
The felt ribbon is from Oriental Trading Co. It is one of my favorite ribbons. It has four different Christmas colors. I usually hoard it but I needed something for this card to make me like it.
The red star is a Quickutz die and the silver star is like a sequin. It wouldn't stay glued down so I but a tiny brad inside.

The ribbon stamp is by Stampibilities/Hobby Lobby
The background stamp is by Stampin Up with Umbrella ink exclusively through Scrapbook. com

Funky Christmas Tree Stamp

My favorite craft to do is to stamp. The best day is one that ends with inky fingers. It's fun for me to see how I can get the same tree stamp to turn out so differently on each card.

The patterned paper is unknown but it is very old.  Border punch by EK Sucess.  Sentiment stickers by SRM Stickers.

Deep Red Stamps Forever Sweet and Kind Card

The background of this card looks plain but there's more to it. I inked the Ranger watercolor paper with the blues and purple distress inks to see if I could get them to blend together as well as those I see on YouTube. It's not a terrible job but I think I need to practice my technique of blending one color to a different color. Then I sprayed water onto the stamp

I placed the inked watercolor paper on top of the wet stamp to get the water on the background stamp to pull the distress ink color away from the design so the circle background now appears white on top of the colors.
The design is more evident to the left side of the girl and I knew it wasn't the greatest but I couldn't throw it away. Then one day I pulled some things out and this card fell into place using the young lady from the:
Deep Red Stamps Formal Chicks

The rest of the card:
Stickers by Me and My Big Ideas (circle) and K and Co. for the words.
The die-cuts are also by K and Co.
The ampere stamp is by Lawn Fawn Jessie's ABC's and Hero Arts Tide Pool ink.

I used this stamp on this post:
Weekend Mini-Series

Thanks for looking

I gave it to a new friend of mine who is so sweet and kind. After I gave it to her, I felt like I needed to explain what I was trying to say which was, I hope you always stay, sweet and kind. It was also to say...I want her to know...well...whatever happens to our new group...I want her...I hope she will stay sweet and kind and be my friend.
I'm horrible with words. SMH
