Deep Red Stamps Heart Tag

The stamp I used for the background is called Doodle Hearts and they can be found at Oozaks and Scrapbook dot com. I cut the hearts away from the sentiment and stamped them in red ink by Stampin Up. Then I inked the tag with Ranger distress ink and sprayed the tag with Perfect Pearls mixed with water. It gives a beautiful sparkle.
The 14 Feb rub-on is by Reminisce and the sentiment sticker is by Mrs. Grossman. The other pieces to my tag are scraps I found in my stash.

Deep Red Stamps Merry and Bright

My Holly Stamp is by Deep Red Stamps and can be purchased at Scrapbook . com or A Cherry on Top.

I stamped the holly with green Versa Color pigment ink and heat embossed it in clear. I applied gold distress stain over the entire image and heat set it to dry. I wanted the image to have more sparkle so I sprayed it with water mixed with Perfect Pearls and heat set it again.

There are 4 different patterned papers in this card. The red polka dot paper is unknown but the rest are as follows: green sparkle background paper is by My Mind's Eye, green matting paper by K and i memories and off white with small pattern at the bottom by K and Co. The Merry bingo card is by Jenni Bowlin and the & Bright stickers are by Making Memories.

myStamp Box Snowman

Living in Michigan we know all about the snow especially this year. School has been closed for two days but hopefully back tomorrow for my big kid. He's got a little bit of cabin fever after being Cinderella washing walls and floors all day today.

My project today is another tag that I created using myStamp Box stamps. I created the background with distress inks and Adirondack acrylic paint dubber all by Ranger. The snowman from the set Merry Mr Snowman is paper pieced together using leftover patterned paper and shiny pink cardstock. On the left side to us I stamped an Ornamental flowers stamp in silver. I embellished the tag with Liquid Pearls dots of snow, a Cricut cut out star with Provo Craft cardstock, washi tape, and a glittery present by Recollections.

Stop by the myStamp Box Blog for other great projects using myStamp Box stamps.

Manly Monday Heat Embossed World Map Birthday Card

I have another fabulous lineup of masculine cards for you to view this week for Manly Monday. There is a handful of Kenny K images, which you know I love to share, along with a bunch of other fun images and non-imaged cards. I have my card first.

My card today uses a new to me Stampin Up background stamp that I heat embossed with white embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. Then I used distress inks by Ranger to fill in the land and sea of the map. Once I get the image to look how I wanted it to, I sprayed it with water and hit it again with the heat gun to speed up drying time. I really adore this map stamp because it can be used for many occasions.
I took two scraps of cardstock and punched a border {Fiskars} out of them and placed them back to back near the bottom half of the card front. Then I inked the edges of a small tag, cut it out using my Cricut, and stamped a Fiskars sentiment on it using Ranger Tumbled Glass ink. I adhered the tag to the card and then used my Attacher {Ranger} to secure it to the card front. All the cardstocks used in my card are by Recollections. (Updated 12-13-22)

So now, sit back and take a stroll through the great inspiration of masculine cards.

Aunt Gail's Wedding 4x4 pocket page card at Chalk Ah Lot

There's a new challenge over at Chalk-Ah-Lot where we play with chalk. The theme is Love and I made a 4x4 pocket card for my MIL's picture book we are working on. We are using We R Memory Keepers photo sleeves for her 1970's square pictures.

The white and purple heart cardstock papers are by Recollections. The stamped heart is by Stamp N Plus. I used Versa Color pigment inks that are an inch squared and easy to make stamps in different colors. After I stamped I didn't want to wait for it to dry so I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder also by Stamp N Plus. I fussy cut the heart out and felt it needed something more on the white background. I fussy cut out a layer of purple to help the stamped image stand out more. My new reception sticker is by Me and My Big Ideas.

So where's my chalk? I used chalk on the border. I was coloring in another image using Beauty powdered chalk mixed with paint both by Stamp N Plus and had some left over. Using a wide paint brush I completely covered the border cardstock (CS-Bazzill and Border-EK Success) with the chalked mixture. The chalk has a great streaking effect that adds so much to the plain cardstock. Try it-you will like it. Here's the website - http://www.powderedchalk.com/index.html

Stamp N Plus Thanks card

I have a fall like card to share today I really like to color in this Pumpkin and Flower Barrel stamp with powdered chalk mixed with paint. The sort of rugged affect fits perfect with any fall theme project.

This card is very simple. I stamped the image onto white cardstock and colored it in with different colored powdered chalk mixed with paint both by Stamp N Plus. I fussy cut the image out and set it aside. The card base is by Recollections. I adhered a piece of unknown brown cardstock to the left and a piece of K and Co embossed paper to the right.

I die cut the sentiment from my Cricut and adhered it and the image on top of the patterned paper. Then I set it aside and pondered it for a couple of months. It needed something more but I couldn't figure out what. I pulled it out just this past week and thought what if I ink the edges with distress ink and an ink blender by Ranger? It always seems to work on my other projects. So that's what I did and now I'm happy with the results.

Thanks for stopping by.

Deep Red Stamps go Under the Sea

I love to find different themes for my stamps. My last post I used this same Bubbles stamp but as wine bubbles and today's tag features the stamp as fish bubbles. The Bubbles stamp is by Deep Red Stamps and can be purchased at A Cherry on Top

I actually really like this tag because it was made with older paper that I have and don't know what to do with.

I stamped the bubbles using Versa Mark ink and heat embossed them with Ranger embossing powder. I didn't rub the surface area with an embossing pad which resulted in some of the embossing powder all over. Live and learn I guess.

The bottom papers are by Creative Memories, Core'dinations and Die Cuts with a View. The fish stickers are fun little glittery pieces from Jolee's. The sentiment sticker is by Cloud 9.

Manly Monday

Hi everyone. Sorry for the late post. I'm working with my MIL, who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's, on her old magnetic photo albums. There about 40 or so books that need to be transferred into acid free sleeves with some sort of annotation as to what they are. Thanks to We R Memory Keepers we are on our way with two and a half books down. {Buy their stock-it's going to be an expensive project} I just really want to get whatever memories we can out of her before the disease progresses anymore. She took the photos and then the time to put them into books so they were of some value to her. I think it's only right to preserve them for her.

So Here we go with Week 1 of 2014 Manly Monday posts. I hope you will leave some love on these amazing crafters blogs. There is some inspiration in each piece for those pesky male cards. Enjoy.

Gram's Treasures

Pause Dream Enjoy

Weren't those awesome? Love the variety.
For my card I chose to heat emboss this Wagon Wheel Stamp by Deep Red Stamp. It's a new stamp at A Cherry on Top.

I used Versa Mark ink and Stamp N Plus gold embossing powder to create my image and after I stamped and embossed the wagon wheel I die cut it out with a Spellbinders circle die. I like to add some dimension to my die cut images so while it was still in the die cut I used Antique Linen distress ink on the open area of the die cut. I love the way distress inks make things all come together.

The boot, hat and sentiment are fussy cut out of a Die Cuts with a View Boys Stack patterned paper. The both brown cardstock pieces were scraps from my pile. However, the patterned papers I know are by Tim Holtz (background) and The Paper Loft (plaid pattern).
