Happy Birthday

I have a birthday card to share today. I love this color combo and will definitely use it again. The background patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye and the gingham is by Stampin Up {I think}. The turquoise cardstock is from Hobby Lobby and the gray cardstock is by Sunborn. I die cut the turquoise flower uses a Quickutz {I think} die cut.

The orange flower is a stamp by Stampin Up. I stamped it onto Cryogen cardstock using Memento Ink and colored it in with Copic Markers. Then I punched the die cut out using a SU punch that matches the flower shape.

The sentiment stamp is by Imaginisce that I stamped onto gray cardstock with Hero Arts black ink.

Kind of plain and simple today. Thanks for stopping by.

Manly Monday

Manly Monday card for you today. I stamp this Elk in the River stamp by Stamp N Plus onto Strathmore watercolor paper with Hero Arts Black ink. Then I colored it in with distress markers and blended some of the distress ink onto the scene to make the sky.

I matted the stamped image onto Making Memories green patterned paper and then put my card together as seen below. I'm not sure the manufacturers for any of the other paper because I made this in November and it's now in one of the stores that I sell my cards in.

The sentiment stamp is comprised of to of the stamps shown below. I stamped them with Stampin Up ink.

If you would like to purchase this versatile set of sentiments please call Luann at 715-271-1873. Tell her you saw the stamps on Cindy's blog.

Thanks for stopping by.

I heat embossed the sentiment on Stampin Up Red cardstock in black and matted it with black cardstock by Recollections. The border in the middle is by K and Co and the black and white flower is an oldie by Creative Memories. The rest I'm not sure about.

Deep Red Stamps Presents for the holidays

I made this card with a Presents stamp by DeepRed Stamp and it can be found at A Cherry on Top.

I heat embossed the image with silver embossing powder and colored in the image with Distress Markers and Distress ink by Ranger Industries.

The background paper is by Provo Craft-very old, the diagonal striped paper is old by My Mind's Eye and the red paper is by Basic Grey.

The red paper is dry embossed with a Darice embossing folder and then sprayed with water and Perfect Pearls to give it a fun shimmery. I matted that piece onto white cardstock and added it to my card base.
The sentiment is a sticker by American Crafts on a scrap piece of paper.

Thanks for looking.

Holiday Cheer

Extending the holidays by spreading a little bit more holiday cheer with my new card today. Sorry I've been neglecting my blog. I had calendars to make for Christmas presents and it consumes my life. I didn't start until December because once I start it takes over all other craft projects until they are done. I still have four more I would like to do but there's no real pressure to get them done like the last 12 I did.

For today's card I took a piece of patterned paper and inked the edges with distress ink and an ink blender. I then sprayed that whole piece with water and gold Perfect Pearls. The semi white corner die cuts were cut out using my Cricut. I added a little bit of green to them to have them blend with the paper. The center piece is Bazzill cardstock that I stamped with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed the Hero Arts stamp with gold embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. I made the strips of glitter by adhering the double sided tape to the card front and then pouring glitter over the exposed side.

The poinsettia die cuts are out of a rusty red color specialty paper that I inked and sprayed with the gold Perfect Pearls by Ranger. The die cut is by Prickley Pear. After I die cut a bunch of them out I bent the edges to make them look crimped. The centers are made up of the micro beads or the dew drops or these gold metal dots with adhesive on them by The Paper Studio.

I hope to back up and running full force after this weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

myStamp Box Tag

Hey everyone, are you happy it's the weekend? I certainly am. We are into the single digits until Christmas. I have calendars to finish up, cards to send out, packages to wrap and a house to clean. Yea... that last one will be the last to get done. I can guarantee that.

So I was asked to be on the myStamp Box Design Team and today I have our first what I call all skate project, which is to make a tag. Let me tell you about my it.

It came to me as a line green tag and I was concerned because I don't really do lime green. So I started by covering the entire tag with gold distress stain by Ranger. It didn't change the color enough so I stamped and heat embossed the long stamp from the Ornamental flowers stamp set and some myStamp Box embossing powder. Then I used the Mini Alphabet-Small box to stamp my greeting onto a small piece of white cardstock with Tsukineko ink.

The leaves were cut out using my Cricut and the Art Philosophy cartridge. I scored them and distressed them to make them look like that. The paper used on the leaves is by Making Memories. The twiggy punch is by Martha Stewart, sequins with rhinestones on them are from my stash as well as the ribbon and the patterned paper strip down the right side is by Pink Paislee.

Deep Red Stamps Floral Mosaic with a Santa card

I'm still crazy busy with calendars so I need to make this brief.
I used a Floral Mosaic stamp from Deep Red that you can purchase at A Cherry on Top
The image was heat embossed using Versa Mark and red embossing powder by Ranger. I cut it out and layered a chipboard circle (Deja Views) and then a Santa sticker (Unknown). The cardstock is dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. The label is cut out from my Cricut and then has a red cardstock piece on it with a Karen Foster sentiment sticker on it. Brads by American Crafts.

Jolly and Joy

I'm back today, from a little blog break, to share yet another Christmas card, actually 2 in this post. The digital image is by, I believe, Robyn's Fetish which printed I right on the card base and then printed it again in the three different patterned papers by My Mind's Eye and The Paper Studio. I did a paper piecing techniques to the ornaments which is something fun and different that you can do with digital images. For Jolly I kept the white space white to draw the attention to the ornaments. See Joy below where I colored the white space.

The rest of my card is nice and easy using My Mind's Eye patterned paper for the bottom portion of the card. I placed a K and Co border in the middle {green snowflakes} and then stamped the Hero Arts sentiment with Stampin Up Real Red ink onto the patterned paper. The card base is by Studio G at Michael's. Curse you Michael's Dollar Bin! You get me every single time.!

Scroll down

Joy is a little bit different and I'm not sure I'm loving the end product or not but wanted to show you the difference. I printed the digi out on the card base and again on the patterned paper-Actually if you take a look at Jolly I used the same digi print out from the above card. Just be careful when you cut the first ornament set to leave the second set useable. time to keep the other side of the ornaments
I printed out the ornaments onto red cardstock by Stampin Up. Before adhering the pieces together I used  red/pink distress ink on the card base around the images.

I had printed the digital images and paper pieced these cards  a few years back. I recently came across them as I was cleaning and decided they need to be finished. I thought I would try and blend the reddish colored ink with aqua distress ink. Had I masked off the ornaments and spent a little more time with it I'm sure it would have blended better. Oh well Live N Learn and then move on.

The border punch is by EK Success and Joy sticker sentiment is by Mrs Grossman's.

One week until Christmas and I hope you are more prepared then I am. Have a great Wednesday.

Happy Holidays

This year I'm very much into windows and although I have no means of my own to create one (die cut or Cricut cartridge) I found a window on a friends cartridge called Christmas Noel. I cut a bunch out while borrowing the cartridge from my friend and had to share my latest creation using it.

The outdoors scene was created with blue distress ink for the sky and then I use Tsukineko green ink for the tree stamp by Stampin Up. The window frame was white and I used distress inks and an ink blender, both by Ranger, to make it the brown color. Distress inks react with water and therefore I sprayed the window with water mixed with Perfect Pearls.

The brown cardstock is from Joann's and the patterned paper is by Martha Stewart. The sentiment was a white piece of cardstock. I took a distress ink pad and ran it across the paper a few times and then let it dry. Then I used a different color green to stamp the Hero Arts sentiment.

Dry Embossed Christmas Card for Chalk Ah Lot

My card today is very simple but out of 14 cards my husband picked it as his favorite. It is for the Chalk Ah Lot challenge Christmas with chalk.

I used Glitsy powdered chalk, a silver metallic color, from our sponsor Stamp N Plus to highlight a few of the embossed snowflakes. When I combine the powdered chalk with paint it makes a great medium to paint with.

The Season's Greetings sentiment stamp is by Stamp N Plus and stamped in Hero Art black inkThe embossing folder is by Darice and the red paper is from Hobby Lobby that I used a EK Success border punch on it. The other border is from a border swap I did on another site so I'm not sure who it is by. That's all there is to it. Pretty simple but just the way he likes them-whatever:)

Christmas Cards all year Round Mid Month

Welcome to my mid month post for Christmas Cards All year Round. The theme this month is Stockings. My beautiful Stocking stamp by Deep Red Stamps and can be found at A Cherry on Top.

I heat embossed the stocking on Strathmore watercolor paper and then proceeded to color it ink with distress ink and distress markers with a water pen which are all by Ranger Industries. I truly love how this one turned out. Beautiful bright colors, a little bit of shading and nice blending make me a happy crafter. I fussy cut the image out and then added some glitter to the white part of the candy canes. The stocking was then adhered onto a Spellbinders die cut.

For the rest of my card I used Crate Papers patterned paper and a Momenta sticker sentiment. The brad is by Creative Imaginations and the ribbon is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by.

Save Santa a trip

The Christmas season is well on its way and I have a beautiful Christmas card using a Stamp N Plus stamp. The tree stamp is one of the many iris folding stamps that Stamp N Plus carries. If you are interested in purchasing this tree stamp please call Luann at 715-271-1873.

I stamped the tree onto cream cardstock and proceeded to cut out the center. Then using a light patterned paper from my local scrapbook store I used the stamp guide to fold the paper and create the iris look. I matted the image on Making Memories patterned paper and placed two little Jolee's present stickers under the tree. The sentiment is a sticker by Momenta and I positioned it on a Spellbinders die that is popped up with foam adhesive. The patterned paper of the die is by Recollections.

Then once the card was all set up I sprayed it with Stardust powdered chalk mixed with water. You can see a little bit of the sparkle on the close up view.

Happy Holidays Snowman

Happy Holidays is everywhere right now and I didn't want to miss this chance to share another Christmas card using Deep Red Stamps. This Snowman stamp can be found at A Cherry on Top.

I heat embossed the snowman on watercolor paper  by Strathmore. Then I used an ink blender with distress ink to create the sky and the ground. I colored the pieces in with a water pen and distress markers. The snow man is colored in with the white distress marker. I was glad to finally use it for something. The snowman was then cut out using a Spellbinders die cut and then one a little bit larger as a matte behind it. That blue patterned paper is by Pink Paislee.

The patterned paper background paper is by Recollections. The white snowflake background was cut out using the Cricut. I believe it was the Art Philosophy cartridge.

To finish off my card I used some scraps of cardstock for the bottom border and layered on some snowflake stickers are by Sticko/EK Success and the sentiment which is by American Crafts.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.
