Upside Down Dog and Cat card

This is my Craft Roulette card. Episode 283. Parameters:
Project: Card for a nerd or nerdy. Beach colors. Element: Hip. Random: animal print. I hated these parameters and considered not contributing this week. But my friends helped pull it together.

I hope my sister gets it. She’s a vet tech and hurt her back. So I deliberately stenciled the dogs and cats upside down.
The stencil is an oldie from my stash. I started by using the ink left on the daubers of distress ink colors Tea Dye and Old Paper. I added a little bit of Tea Dye ink after that ink was gone. Then I came in with Black Soot distress oxide using the ink on that dauber. I was going to try and add shadows to the dogs and cats but I didn’t know how because they were going to be upside down. It wasn’t necessary.

There were spaces that I didn’t have room to add another animal so I found an unknown animal paw print rubber stampI stamped it in the empty spaces.with Antique Linen distress oxide. the inside stamp is unknown, and the heart dies were from my stash. It needed that pop of color to accentuate that the animals were upside down for a reason. Sometimes when I put a panel on the wrong way I’ll keep it that way with a note inside.
Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Weiner Dog sympathy card

Pet sympathy cards are hard for me since I lost my best friend in August. His name was Rusty and he was a beautiful Akita. He loved me more than anybody else. If I wasn't in the room he would go find me. I never knew that love before.
When Rusty died I received 2 sympathy cards. I was crushed. That being said, I don't want anyone else to feel like I did. When I hear of someone losing a pet I make a card and send it out. Therefore, I have a handful of pet sympathy cards to post.
I made this card by inking a rainbow of distress inks on a patterned paper. Then the circle was cut out with my Creative Memories cutting system. The dog stamp is by Gina Marie and the ribbon is by Martha Stewart.
Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Rainbow Dog sympathy card

I made the rainbow colors out of scraps of cardstock. The dog stamp is by Newton's Nook. Even though it's a pet sympathy card I figured this rainbow card was good to post the day after St Patrick’s Day.
I made the second card from the leftover pieces of cardstock and paired it with a Creative Memories vellum sentiment.

Happy Dog image colored in with Chalk card

The patterned paper by Moxxie on the bottom and My Mind's Eye on the top. I cut the image and the mat behind it with my trimmer and rounded the corners with a Creative Memories edge rounder. There's a border between the two papers and it is by Martha Stewart. The digital image is by Robyn's Fetish and colored in with powdered chalk mixed with white pearl paint both by Stampin N Plus. Then I came in with colored pencils to finish and add shadows. Thanks for looking.

Day 3- Weekend of Dog Days of Summer cards

Last post for dog days of summer cards.

Patterned paper by Creative Memories. Die-cut bought on eBay. Brad by The Paper Studio.

I made a bunch of dog cards. On the first set of cards, I created the backgrounds with stamps by Paper Smooches and Stampendous with Distress ink, Die-cut by Spellbinders out of The Paper Studio patterned paper. Memento ink and Stampin Up ink.

I sprayed this first cad with Ranger gold mist and the patterned paper is maybe by The Paper Studio. I used Colorbox ink on the dog stamps with multiple colors. I created the layered look by inking the center with a light color and the outside of the stamp with a darker color.

Die cuts from eBay.

The corner punches on this second card look like EK Success. The sentiment is a punch by Martha Stewart. The dog stamp is by Paper Smooches. Paper Patterned by Dream Street Papers.

Day 2- Weekend of Dog Days of Summer

July 31st is:
National Mutts Day
But I'm going to include it into my weekend of dog days of summer.
I have a few of them to share today. I find I need pet sympathy cards and I hate to make one on the spot.
The black dog is also by Gina Marie Designs, paw print by Paper Smooches and heart by Stampendous with black ink by Hero Arts and red ink by Stampin Up. I bought the die-cut from eBay. I inked the inside of the die cut with distress ink. The patterned paper is by Paper Adventures and green by My Mind's Eye.

This card is a stamp from Gina Marie on a Spellbinders die-cut. The other die cuts from Cricut. The brown background is stamped with Stampin' Up background stamp onto kraft cardstock by Oriental Trading Co. Yellow background is a recycled card.

Dog Sympathy Card Updated

I have a pet sympathy card today. I used a Gina Marie dog stamp that I inked it with Clearsnap pigment ink with a lighter color all over and a darker color around the edges. I matted the image with orange cardstock by Bazzill. The sentiment is from the internet that I inked the edges with the same ink as the dog. The bone is a Cricut cut from the Cricut Sampler. I think the background paper is by The Paper Studio but I'm not positive.

Have a great day and thanks for looking.

Lawn Fawn Cats and Dogs Cards

Two cards today using Lawn Fawn stamps. The dog, bird, cat, and butterfly were all stamped onto Ranger's watercolor paper and then die cut out with the matching dies. I used Peerless watercolors to color them in. I made the dog sentiment with Harold ABC's onto a Spellbinders die. I inked the white card base with blue distress ink to create the sky. I made the hills with some leftover patterned paper by Recollections and cardstock by Stampin Up.

Here are 2 other cards with this dog stamp

Animal Graduation Party Cards

A few animal graduation cards today using the same patterned paper (Best Creations).

For the first card I stamped the dog stamp by Lawn Fawn with black ink (Hero Arts) onto watercolor paper (Ranger). I colored in the dog with distress inks (Ranger) and then die cut him (or her) out with a matching die. Also I die cut a piece of fun foam from the same die to give the dog some dimension. The brown and cream cardstocks (Recollections) were with were made into oval die cuts using the Cuttlebug (Spellbinders). I added the grad cap sticker (Jolee's) to the dogs head which require foam adhesive on the top since the dog is already on foam. To finish the card, I die cut the sentiment (Cricut) and added a bit of glitter (Wink of Stella).

Here are 2 other cards using this dog stamp
and

The second card features a whale stamp (Clearly Besotted) stamped in charcoal ink (Hero Arts) and the sentiment and spout in yellow ink (Stampin Up). I cut the whale image down to mat it onto some shimmer paper (Bazzill). To finish up I added the grad cap sticker (Jolee's).

Dog Sympathy Card Updated

My card today is a dog sympathy card. It is so hard to lose a dog/pet. They are a part of your everyday life much more than you realize.

I stamped the Gina Marie Dog stamp with Versa Color black pigment ink and let it dry. I die cut the dog out with a Spellbinders die as well as the next largest die of the set. I inked the inside of the dog's die cut with distress ink (Ranger). I die cut a scallop square and a rounded square adding distress ink to the latter. Both patterned papers are by Moxxie and the sentiment I printed from the internet.

Our Pets Card-Updated

My card today features a dog stamp by Gina Marie Stamps. I inked the stamp with Colorbox pigment ink and then did a rock n roll technique with some black Versa Color ink around the edges. I stamped the dog onto white cardstock by Recollections. I did let the dog sit over night to dry. Once he was dry I die cut him out with a Spellbinders die and lightly inked the inside with distress ink.

The sentiment was a quote I found online and printed on my printer. The die cut along the bottom is a Cricut cut from the Cricut Sampler cartridge. The black cardstock is by Recollections and the patterned paper is by Pebbles

**And don't forget about the birthday giveaway. It ends November 29th at noon EST.**

Graduating Dog

I have a quick post for you tonight using a dog stamp and die by Lawn Fawn. I die cut the image out with watercolor cardstock and stamped the dog with Hero Arts black ink. I did a little watercoloring to color it in. I also die cut a dog from fun foam and adhered it to the stamped image. The grad cap is a sticker by Jolee's/EK Success that I added to the dogs head. Since I added fun foam to the dog I needed to adhere some fun foam to just the top of the cap. It all worked out and I liked it so much I made another one like it in different colors.

The die cuts are by Spellbinders, border punch by Fiskars, ribbon from Michael's and patterned paper by Scenic Route. The black and white cardstock in my card is by Recollections. The sentiment stamp is by Clearly Besotted and it's stamped with Hero Arts ink.
