Deep Red Stamps Best Friend Forever

My card today is using a new Deep Red Stamp called Best Friend Forever. You can find the stamp at A Cherry on Top and Scrapbook{.}com

I heat embossed the sentiment with Versa Mark ink and Stamp N Plus gold embossing powder. Then I die cut the it out using a Spellbinders die. Once it was out of the die I inked the edges with an ink blender and Antique Linen distress ink. The I sprayed it with water mixed with gold Perfect Pearls to give it a beautiful shimmery. Distress ink and Perfect Pearls are by Ranger Industries.

My patterned paper for the background and the matted die cut are by Prima and I embellished the card with 3D sparkly flowers by K and Co. Pretty yet simple.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Deep Red Stamps Latte Note

You can find the Flourish Latte stamp at A Cherry on Top and Scrapbook dot com. I used patterned paper by Pink Paislee and cardstock by Recollections, Bazzill and DCWV. The flourish latte image was stamped  using black Hero Arts ink and then cut to size with two of the four corners rounded. The die cut around the image is cut out using my Cricut and it is on top of a Spellbinders square die. I inked the edges with distress ink by Ranger Industries.

I used ribbon and a flower from Michael's dollar bin to embellish the card. The ribbon has a design on the other side that wasn't completely printed so I flipped it over. I think the pattern would have been too much with the patterned paper and embossed area. It all worked out in the end.

The sentiment is a SRM Sticker that I matted onto DCWV green cardstock and then Bazzill off white cardstock. I finished that piece with a brad by Close to My Heart. One thing I forgot to mention is the embossing folder is by Darice and I rubbed a distress ink pad on top of it top to darken the embossed areas.

Be sure to check out all Deep Red Stamps at A Cherry on Top, Scrapbook dot com and Oozaks. Thanks for stopping by.

I have ten new masculine cards for you to go check out this week. I would love it if you would leave these ladies a comment so they know you stopped by. But I understand if you only have time for a quick look. This is a fabulous bunch of cards. Be sure to check out my card at the end.

Fabulous cards ladies. Loved looking at all of them again.

My card today features a ribbon stamp by Stampin Up. I hand cut out all the pieces to make the ribbon. I just love it and was going to buy it myself but my friend bought it with an open invitation to borrow it whenever I needed to. Love that girl! I'm not sure where the chain fence patterned paper came from but I do know the green cardstock is by Creative Memories and the black is by Recollections. The wishes letters are by Lawn Fawn and I stamped them in Hero Arts black ink. The screw brads are by The Paper Studio {HL}.

Thanks for looking and I hope you get a chance to look at all the manly cards above.

Torch fire background for the Olympic challenge at Chalk Ah Lot Café

Honestly, though I already made this post and was shocked by its absence on my blog. lol. The challenge over at Chalk Ah Lot is to use an Olympic symbol to base your project on of course while using chalk.
Here is the blog post with a Wikipedia link with some examples.
I choose to base my card on the flame which fit perfectly for this Darice embossing folder that I had to have and haven't used.

I embossed it onto white cardstock and then used the powdered chalk colors Red, Brick, and Dandy to get my rainbow of colors. The front piece is matted onto a piece of Stampin Up red cardstock as well as the SRM Sticker sentiment. Pretty simple and yet fun birthday card for a young man. I was hoping more than one person would take on this challenge so I invite you to join in over at Chalk Ah Lot.

Thanks for looking.

Christmas Cards all Year Round Mid month

We are at the mid month point for the Christmas Cards all Year Round challenge and I have a new card to share that follows the blue and white theme however I didn't add the heart which is optional.

The image is by Sassy Studios Designs and I colored her in with Copic markers and colored pencils by Stampin Up. The blue cardstock is the only one I know is by Recollections, sentiment stamp is by Hero Arts and the ink is by Stampin Up.

Thanks for looking.

Stamp N Plus Heart card

I think this will be my last heart/love/Valentine's Day card until next year. My card features a heart stamp by Stamp N Plus which you can find HERE. The heart is stamped onto watercolor paper by Strathmore using Hero Arts black ink. Then I colored it in with powdered chalks mixed with paint using a paint brush to apply the mixture onto the image. The powdered chalks are by Stamp N plus and the colors are simply Red and Lime with a link to the paint HERE.

The red cardstock for my card is by Stampin Up and the embossing folder is by Darice. I matted the front panel onto black cardstock by Recollections. The sentiment sticker is by Three Bugs in a Rug. It's a pretty simple one today. I wanted to add more but everything I tried looked forced and not natural. So it may not be one of my best cards but if I only showed my best I wouldn't have very many to show, well in my opinion.

Thanks for looking.

Valentine's Day with Flocking powder

I made this skinny card so I could let my sentiment hang off the edge. The sentiment stamp is by Close to My Heart which is on a Cricut label die and the happy letters are by Cosmo Cricket. The patterned papers are by My Mind's Eye and the heart ribbon by Heidi Grace for Fiskars. The heart in the middle of the twine is a button from my stash as well as the lace at the bottom.

I die cut the hearts using my Cricut and then ran them through my Xyron to make them sticky. I used two separate colors of pink flocking powder on each of the heart die cuts. Once the flocking powder was on the heart I ran them through my Cuttlebug to make the flocking powder really stick to the adhesive on the heart. The two colors of pink flocking powder are by Inkadinkado.

Thanks so much for looking.

Papertrey Ink Set-for a boy

I made this fun set of card and matching envelope for the challenge at Papertrey Ink. The circle stamps along with the sentiment and polka dot paper are all by Papertrey Ink.

The background of my card is powdered chalk {Lime} and paint both by Stamp N Plus mixed together and sponged over a The Crafter's Workshop stencil. Love the two together with stencils. I've made a ton of backgrounds just playing with different colors. Doing this prep work makes me think I need more stencils:)

The name stamp is from a dollar store that I picked up soon after he was born almost 12 years ago. His birthday is next week and I think he will like this set I made just for him.

The border punch is by Fiskars. It's one of my favorites for male cards. Not too frilly. I used Stampin Up ink, Hero Arts black ink and Hero Arts Shadow inks on my card.

Thanks for looking.

In honor of Valentine's Day I have another heart card to share today. I used white cardstock by Recollections to cut all the hearts out using the Ultimate Cricut cartridge. Then I inked the red ones with Barn Door and Fired Brick Distress ink and the pink colored hearts with Tattered Rose distress ink. I sprayed the hearts with water mixed with Perfect Pearls by Ranger too.

The patterned paper is by Papertrey Ink, ribbon by Martha Stewart and embossing folder by Darice.

Thanks for looking.

myStamp Box Love banner card

My card today is made with a fes myStamp Box stamps along with a fun technique I haven't done in a while. I really love the way this card turned out and I hope you do too.
First thing, you can find all myStamp Box stamps online at the myStamp Box store. They have a fun variety of great stamps to choose from. Then if you want to see them used head on over to the myStamp Box Blog and check out what other DT members are doing with them.

My card today uses the Mini Alpha Stamps and the Mini Pennants stamp sets. My pennants are heat embossed with the alphabet stamped out of the embossing. I stamped the full pennant with Versa Mark ink and covered it with myStamp Box embossing powder in the usual fashion. Before I heat emboss the image I take one of the letters and stamp it into the embossing powder and pull it straight up. Then I take my heat gun and emboss it. Now if you were to do this technique on colored cardstock and white embossing powder you would be done because the letter stands out from the embossing but because I did mine on white cardstock I needed to accent my letter with some color. I reached for my distress marker, Spun Sugar, to color in the letter but you could use any marker that you fancy.

I sewed a line to connect the pennants together using a back stitch and some pink floss by Karen Foster. The rest of my sentiment is stamped on brown cardstock using white pigment ink and embellished with a EKSuccess heart sticker.

The patterned papers are by Echo Park and Martha Stewart and the border punch is by Fiskars.

Manly Monday Deep Red Stamps Heavy Gear Card

Welcome to another fabulous Manly Monday post full of cards for guys of all ages or all ages at heart. Have fun looking.

For my card today I am featuring another Deep Red Stamp and it's called Heavy Gear. You can find it at A Cherry on Top  and at Scrapbook(.)com

I stamped the gear onto white cardstock by Recollections with Hero Arts black ink and matted navy blue cardstock behind it. The paper to the left of the card is by The Paper Co, the navy cardstock by Stampin Up and the black cardstock is by Recollections. The sentiment stickers are by Creative Imaginations and the inside of the card says "A Happy Birthday".

Just a side note about my card I did stamp the black cardstock with Metal Mesh Background stamp (ACOT/SB) with a grayish chalk ink by Colorbox but it's really hard to make out and I didn't get any close-ups of the bottom portion, where you can see it the best, before shipping it out to be sold. (Updated font and size, photo size and placement 12-13-22)

Great job ladies. The boys to men in your lives will really enjoy your creative cards.

Thanks so much for looking.
