Manly Monday Nautical cards

New AtC's for the swap I'm in. I used a Deep Red Stamps called

 Clipper Ship

I stamped it with black Hero Arts ink.
Inked the bottom blue distress ink.
I colored the sails in with other distress ink mixed with Perfect Pearls.
Passenger stamp by Tim Holtz/Stampers's Anonymous.

Journey with a Suitcase

My ATC's today were from a previous swap. I inked the Ranger watercolor paper with different color distress ink. I stamped the map by Stampin' Up with black Hero Arts ink. I stamped the places/word stamp with Versa Mark ink and and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. 

The sentiment stamp and the one wheel tread mark are by Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous and the suitcase is by Stampin' Up. It's a very old travel set. I colored the suitcase in with distress markers but not very well. The coin type thing is part of some old jewelry.

Manly Monday Celebrate Trucks

Here again with Manly Monday. Glad you stopped by to check out the masculine card of the week. This card is like another card/post I did back in September 2015 and I want to give you a link to that post because it gives credit to the card I followed as inspiration.

The truck stamp is by Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous. I've stamped it and the sentiment by Fiskars with Charcoal Hero Arts ink. The circles the truck is stamped on were cut with the Creative Memories cutting system. I inked the last die cut with distress ink by Ranger. The patterned paper on the top is by Papertrey Ink and on the bottom the paper is by Sunborn.

I used the same products for this card with the patterned papers switched around.

Manly Monday The Journey

My card today uses stamps by Stamper Anonymous. I stamped the car in SU brown ink and inked the edges heavily with Old Paper distress ink. The sentiment is stamped with Hero Arts black ink and then inked the edges with the same as the car. The brown cardstock {by Recollections} is dry embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and then matted with some kraft cardstock. I think all the cardstock in this card is by Recollections. The background paper is by Karen Foster.

Manly Monday Taking the Train

In today's card I stamped a Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz train stamp onto white cardstock with black Hero Arts ink. I double matted the image with black and then white cardstock. I die cut the gears border also by Tim Holtz leaving a small border for my sentiment. The sentiment is made up of a Lawn Fawn alphabet and white pigment ink by Stampin Up. The clouds on the train have been enhanced with some white Liquid Pearls and the patterned paper is by Adorn It.

Manly Monday Classic Car

My card was heavily inspired by a card made by Lisa Somerville. I really liked the patterned paper she chose on top and I remembered I had similar paper in my stash. HERE is the post.

Although my card s different I hope you can see where the inspiration came from. I have a few other car cards coming up that I used the same card as inspiration.

The car stamp is by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous and it is stamped with Hero Arts Charcoal shadow ink. I matted the image with grey cardstock by Recollections. The patterned paper is by Sunborn {I bought it at Sam's Club years ago}, the sticker sentiment is by SRM Stickers and then the boarder sticker that hides the seam of the two papers is old by CM.

Manly Monday Bike

My card today is for a younger guy perhaps. I stamped the bike (Unity Stamp Co) and the road (Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous) with black Hero Arts ink. Then I let dry because some times when you don't the black may bleed out when you add the distress inks. So I used Tumbled Glass blue distress ink on the top and Old Paper on the bottom. I cut the image out and matted it with black and then white cardstock both by Recollections. The patterned paper is also by Recollections. The arrow die is by Papertrey Ink and the spiky circles are by Sizzix. The sentiment sticker is by SRM Stickers and the blue paper is by Basic Grey.

Manly Monday Clock

Welcome back to a late edition of Manly Monday. My husband and I decided to stay one more night at our cottage with just each other last night which meant no blogging. The cottage is not equipped with high-speed internet which is how it should be. It's a place to get away from it all. Not bring it all with you. 

My card for today is a small one using a card base size 3 1/2 x 5 by Coredinations. 

I'm not sure of the patterned papers manufacturer but the print one on top is die cut with a Spellbinders square die. 

The cardstock is by Recollections and the clock image stamp is by Tim Holtz with Stampers Anonymous. 

I stamped it with Ranger's distress embossing ink pad and heat embossed it clear with embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. 

Then to finish the card, I used washi tape by Darice, a circle sticker by Martha Stewart, and a sentiment stamp by Paper Smooches with Hero Arts black ink.

So anyway, here are the Manly Monday cards that I was able to round up. This time of year, there are so many Christmas cards that finding enough masculine cards to show you was a challenge. Manly Monday Boat

Welcome back to Manly Monday. I'm typing with gloves on so please forgive me if I make a typing error and don't catch it. It is chilly in my basement where my studio is located and I have to take drastic measures to stay warm sometimes.

My manly card today uses a Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous boat stamp. I used the reflection technique to create the reflection in the water. I enhanced the sky and the water with distress ink by Ranger and then sprayed the image with water since distress products react with water. The cloud is a Unity Stamp Co stamp and I filled it in with Liquid Pearls by Ranger. Then I put it all together with some scrap blue cardstock and Recollections black cardstock and added the American Crafts sentiment sticker.
