Manly Monday Saw

My card today uses stamps by Papertrey Ink. I used the strip of bolts as my background pattern by stamping them over and over again in rows. The I adhered that white cardstock to a grey card base top folding card. The grey frame and the die cut the sentiment are cut out using my Cricut. I matted the frame with some black cardstock also by Recollections. The saw stamp was stamped with Hero Arts Charcoal ink and die cut out using its matching die. Then I stamped the sentiment.

Thanks for looking.

Welcome back to Manly Monday. I had to make the executive decision to only allow 10 cards on the Manly Monday post. So If you sent me an email I will run your card next week. Please click on the blog name to be directed to the masculine card. Leave them some love.

Happy Birthday Tree Branch

I have a birthday card to share today. The background stamp and tree branch stamps are by Hero Arts. The background is stamped in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with white Stampendous embossing powder. The tree is stamped in Stampin Up brown and colored in with Distress Markers by Ranger. The sentiment is by Just Rite in the same brown ink as the tree branch.

The green ribbon is from my mom's stash, so no manufacturer but the orange baker's twine is by Jillibean Soup. The blue cardstock and white card base are by Recollections and the white strip for the sentiment is Neenah Solar White. After I colored the tree branch I die cut it out with a Spellbinders scalloped oval die.

That's all for today. Thanks for looking.

It's Your Day

Today's card is nice and simple with a touch of feminine charm. The flower stamp is Stampendous and I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder on Cryogen cardstock. Then I colored it in with Copic markers and generously sprayed it with water mixed with Perfect Pearls to give it that special sparkle. I fussy cut the flower out and layered it on top of two different Spellbinders dies. The white cardstock is by Recollections and the pink is by Color-Aid. The patterned paper is by Stampin Up and the seam is covered by two ribbons by Fiskars. The butterfly punch is from my stash which I think it's a Martha Stewart punch that I borrowed from someone at a crop. I covered the butterfly with a gold clear Wink of Stella pen to make it shimmery.

Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Journey

Hey everyone! It's still Monday where I am so I'm trying to get this out for you all to look see at the fun manly makes by 8 lovely ladies willing to share their talent here on Cre8iveCindy. Click on the blog name to be directed to the masculine card and be sure to leave them some love.

What a great collection of masculine cards. Thanks ladies.

My card uses a map stamp by Stampin Up which I white heat embossed on Ranger's distress watercolor paper. I added distress ink to the land in brown hues and the sea in blue hues. The blue cardstock is by Bazzill and I stamped a Stampin Up sentiment on it but I changed it ever so slightly. At the end of You I wrote a R to make it Your and the little charm thingy says journey. One of the ladies at church was looking for something like this for someone heading out on a mission trip.

Thanks for looking.

Anna from Frozen Sassy January Release

It's release day at Sassy Studio Designs. And I’m a guest designer for them.
My card uses Braid Heart and I printed her out onto Cryogen cardstock so I could color her in with Copic markers. Then I fussy cut her out and started arranging my cardstock and some special details. The die cut has no manufacturer because it was a prototype from a die company. Isn't it lovely? I think so. I did ink the inside of the die with distress ink after I embossed it.

The white background is a frame and I wanted to make a frame within the frame. Here's what I did, I took Clearly Besotted Dandelion Dreams stamp set and used all the sizes to stamp around the outside of the white cardstock with Versa Mark ink. Then I heat embossed the stamps with white embossing powder. Then I mixed together Stardust powdered chalk with paint, both by Stamp N Plus and painted over the entire white and orange cardstock.

Here she is close up. I'm not the best coloring artist but I'm trying my best to not be embarrassed of what I color/create with the Copic markers. They say practice, practice, and practice is how you get good at them.

I also wanted to tell you about my Sassy Studio Designs Pinterest board where I keep adding more and more cards that I find with Sassy images. Check it out.
Thanks for looking.

Make A Wish w Elsa

Then I die cut her out with a Spellbinders die cut and while the image was still in the die I inked the inside with Ranger's distress ink. I combined Stardust powdered chalk and paint by Stamp N Plus together and used the mixture medium with a paint brush to paint in the cape. The background of the card base is a polka dot stencil by Heidi Swapp that I inked with distress ink and an ink blender tool. The card base is by Recollections and the border is by Creative Memories. The sentiment is a tag that I cut out with my Cricut. The sentiment stamp is by Clearly Besotted with Hero Arts charcoal ink.

Then I placed Martha Stewart gold string through the eyelet and taped it onto the back. The upper patterned paper is by Karen Foster and the lower is by Hot off the Press. The sentiment die cut is by My Mind's Eye. The lace is old from MIL's stash. This card size is 5x7 which is odd for me.

Thursday Elsa Sassy

Sassy Studio Designs new Thursday challenge is

It's my Thang
which means use your favorite color

Since I've been making so many Elsa cards, I figured my favorite colors right now are blue and white. I printed Elsa on Cryogen cardstock and colored her in with Copic Markers. Then I die cut her out with a Creative Memories cutting system oval and I inked the edges with Ranger's distress ink. Elsa's cape is colored in with Stardust powdered chalk mixed paint both by Stamp N Plus. I just mix the two together and apply it to the image with a paint brush. The paper behind Elsa is white cardstock by Recollections that I also painted with the chalk mixture. then I border cut the edges and corners with a punch by Martha Stewart.

The background patterned paper is by Making Memories, the cardstock on the bottom is dry embossed with a Spellbinders folder and the seam is covered by a EK Success border punch out of Coredinations glitter paper. I used the same glitter paper on the small Sizzix die cut at the bottom, behind the die cut hello. The sentiment die cut is by Spellbinders.

Wow, that was a ton of product in one little card. Hopefully I didn't bore you to tears. Thanks for looking.

First Place Phil Masculine Card

The new anything goes challenge at Through the Craft Room Door starts today.

We are sponsored by Dr Digi House of Stamps

I had a really hard time choosing which image to use for my design team card. I selected
because I have lots of NASCAR fans that receive birthday cards from us.

I printed Phil out onto Cryogen cardstock and colored him in with Copic markers. I die cut him out with a Sizzix oval die and while the image was still in the die I inked the inside with Ranger's distress ink. The patterned paper is from yesterday's POST and it is by Creative Imaginations. The other side is fun for guys too and is really the reason I bought the paper.

The checked border on the left side is a rolling stamp by Stampin Up (old school). The sentiment I believe is a stamp by Close to my Heart on white Recollections cardstock with Stampin Up Real Red cardstock behind it.

That's all for now. Thanks for looking.

Dreamweaver Stencils birthday

I know that I've been MIA lately here on the blog. I'm experiencing some health problems which make it impossible for me to go down stairs and get to my computer. So I've learned a way to post using my IPad but I'm not sure how great the photography/photo editing will be but here we go.

I have the wonderful news to share, I'm now on Dreamweaver Stencils Design Team. Today is my first post using their supplies and playing with this months theme birthday. I took a different route with the theme because I make calendars each year and I thought it would be a fun twist to use the layout from my birthday month as my project showing Dreamweaver Stencils.
The alphabet is called Dual Alphabet dies with caddy
The stencil is a Globe stencil that I only embossed the planet and not the stand.

The black flourish stickers are by Stampendous.
Patterned paper by Recollections, borders by K and Co, circle die by Spellbinders, and various purple and white cardstocks. The worlds cardstock is actually old packaging.

I hope you will join the challenge at Dreamweaver Stencils. http://www.dreamweaverstencils.blogspot.com/

Time 2 Celebrate

Sorry I have been MIA. Recent health developments limit me ability to get downstairs to my studio to work and create. Plus I'm finishing up 2015 calendars and I just don't think 2016 calendars will be made for next year. My heart is just not into it anymore.

I'm sharing a fun, bright and girly card to welcome in the new year. My patterned papers are by DCWV, the doily is by Little Yellow Bicycle, the rick rack is by The Paper Studio, chipboard flower by Maya Road which is painted with Making Memories paint. The flower stamps and punches are by Stampin Up with Hero Arts shadow inks and the centers of the flowers are by Want 2 Scrap (small rhinestones) and Forever in Time (large rhinestone). The sentiment die cut is by Elle's Studio with the sentiment by Just Rite stamps and ink by Hero Arts. Oops I missed the leavesoff the small flowers. They are a die cut by Elizabeth Crafts on white cardstock and then inked with distress ink and sprayed with water.

Thanks for stopping by.
