Manly Monday

My Manly Monday card this week is kind of for a younger male but I would probably still send this to an adult. The circle stamps are by Papertrey Ink and the sentiment stamp is from Hampton Arts Studio G. The ink is by Stampin Up and Tsukineko. The cardstock is from my stash and the patterned paper is by Making Memories. I used a Creative Memories punch to make the circle die cuts.

Chalk-Ah-Lot challenge #26

The new challenge at Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe is all about ringing in the new year and therefore your theme is:
Something new with chalk

For example a new baby, a new job, a new house, a new outlook, a new resolution, a new plan, new friend, new mate, etc. You must use chalk on your project and tell me where in your blog post.

For my card today I used new baby as my something new. I made the background combining powdered chalk, Sky and Truely, with Buzz Magic Paint by Stamp N Plus. I used a cosmetic wedge to apply the paint and then swirled the chalk into the pain and on the paper. The cardstock is by Provo Craft (purple and blue) and Recollections (white). The ink for the stamps is by Hero Arts and Tsukineko. Button brads by Imaginsce and ribbon by The Paper Studio and Offray. I cut the die cut out using my Cricut and the Holday Tags and Frames by Creative Memories.

The paint creates such a beautiful sparkle when added with the powdered chalk. Check out Stamp N Plus's website for all the colors available to purchase.

The baby stamp is called stuffed animal border can be found HERE. The sentiment is one of many that can be found on a sheet of multiple sentiments. I've included some pictures below and if you would like to order this please call Luann for price and to place an order. 715-271-1873

The flowers are from my stash, patterned paper by Provo Craft (very old) and the border is by Sizzix. The brad was plain white and I decided to add some Stickles to the top of it. I love sparkle.

Chalk Ah Lot challenge continues...

The Chalk-Ah-Lot challenge for this two week period is snow with chalk.

I made the following card using snowflake stamps by Stamp N Plus. I used them as the base of my background. I then took some Buzz magic paint and powdered chalk in a cosmetic wedge and swirled it on the white cardstock. Then I changed colors to add more interest and give myself another color to work with, I think the purple and blue compliment each other well.

The ribbon on this card is by Offray (very old from my stash). The die cuts are from my Cricut cartridge Creative Memories Holiday frames and tags. The cardstock is from my stash.

The blue snowflake is a recycled backing of a snowflake sticker by Martha Stewart. I used Ranger's alcohol inks to give it the blue/silver color and then mounted a snowflake sticker by Hobby Lobby on top of it.

Be sure to stop by the Chalk-Ah-Lot blog to link up to this challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Be Merry

A nice Clean and Simple card to share today. The holly stamp is an old one that I borrowed from someone at a retreat. I've always had a hard time with background stamps that are small in size until I thought of die cutting them out and using distressing inks to highlight the pattern.
The be merry stamp is by Imaginisce and everything else is old stuff from my stash.
Thanks for looking.

Chalk-Ah-Lot challenge

There's a new challenge over at Chalk-Ah-Lot
Snow with chalk.

For my card today I did a little recycling. The snowflakes on this card are actually the backs of some Martha Stewart stickers. I used Ranger alcohol inks to make them the blue and silver swirl color. Then I ran them through my Xyron machine to make them sticky. The center snowflake is a big one on bottom and a smaller one on top. I used dimensional adhesive to pop it up.

The background of the card is Ranger distressing ink applied with my blending tool. Then I dusted the entire background with stardust powdered chalk by Stamp N Plus. The picture does not do the chalk justice because the shimmer you get with this chalk is amazing. The sentiment stamp is also by Stamp N Plus (L1575) and is stamped with the same distress ink I used on the background. (I think it's Broken China)

Thanks for looking.

Chalk is by Stamp N Plus. Ink is by Stampin Up and felt ribbon by Oriental Trading Co.

Peace on Earth

I love these kinds of cards that come together using scraps. I did stamp the holly (by Stampin Up) stamp with Tsukineko ink and the used distress markers to color it in. I then cut the holly out leaving a little around the outside. I used the IRock tool by Imaginisce for the rhinestones where they turned out so pretty and I know they will stay on there through the mail.

The sentiment stamp is from Stamp N Plus. Below you will find the full sheet of rubber stamp sentiments available to order by calling Luann at 715-271-1873. The die cut is made using a Spellbinders die and my Cuttlebug. The brad is from my stash and it is made by Making Memories. Thanks for looking

It's a great set of sentiment where you get a bit of everything you would need and in a pretty font too.
Great for card markers and scrapbook artists as well.

My tip: If you only have one special brad to use on the label plate die cut, tuck one side under the patterned paper leaving the other side open and ready for your one sparkly brad.

Merry Houses

Christmas card using some old stash. The house patterned paper is from an old calendar by Accord Publishing. I used a Karen Foster sentiment sticker with brads by The Paper Studio. The patterned paper is old and I don't know the manufacturer. However the silver paper is by Creative Memories.

The inside uses a stamp from Stamp N Plus, ink by Tsukineko and die cut by Spellbinders. I don't usually decorate the inside of the card. The only reason I do is to cover up a mistake.

Cardinal Christmas card

I have this Inkadinkado stamp that I bought for a dollar. It is so easy to color with my Copic markers on Kryogen paper by Stamping and Scrapping. The felt ribbon is from Oriental Trading Co. Sometimes you can find good buys from their catalogs. The flower is an oldie from Prima, The green patterned paper is by Die Cuts with a View. Th red on the bottom is by My Mind's Eye. I dry embossed the red with an embossing folder by The Paper Studio (AKA Hobby Lobby).
I used a rectangle Spellbinders die to cut and emboss the focal image. The sentiment is a rub-on by American Crafts. The brad in the center of the flower is also by Stamping and Scrapping.
Last final details to this card, the decorative edge of red paper has been border punched by Martha Stewart. The other thing is the fuzzy pine cones in the stamped image are now sparkly since I added Rangers Stickles to them. Thanks for looking.

Ice skater says Merry Christmas

Another pretty Christmas card to share. The image is unknown but I colored her in with Copic markers, I matted that piece on to blue cardstock. the white cardstock in dry embossed with some snowflakes. The snowflake came from Hobby Lobby and the silver leaf is by Prima (quite old-it's been hiding in my stash). The sentiment is a Cloud 9 epoxy sticker. The white of the dress is where I put Stickles. I think it makes those parts appear fluffy.

Christmas Cards all Year Round

This month at Christmas Cards all Year Round the challenge is all about Santa.
I had these St Nick images from one of those scrapbooker calendar in a box by Accord Publishing. See HERE for an example. I think these Santa's and coordinating papers are from 2010.

This first one I used a white Spellbinders die cut behind Santa, background paper by K and Co (green) and Creative Memories (red strip), stamp by Hero Arts that I heat embossed using ink from Versa Mark and embossing powder by Stampendous.

For the next two, back ground paper as above by K and Co and the greeting by Hero Arts.

I placed a Spellbinders die cut behind the Santa image and used one for my Hero Arts sentiment. Brads are by American Crafts and ink is by Ranger and Stampin Up.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
