Ribbon runs thru my heart card

This was the negative of a Cricut heart cut out. I sprayed it with Glimmer Mist before layering ribbon to the back side. The sentiment is a sticker by SRM Stickers. Thanks for stopping by.

Weiner Dog sympathy card

Pet sympathy cards are hard for me since I lost my best friend in August. His name was Rusty and he was a beautiful Akita. He loved me more than anybody else. If I wasn't in the room he would go find me. I never knew that love before.
When Rusty died I received 2 sympathy cards. I was crushed. That being said, I don't want anyone else to feel like I did. When I hear of someone losing a pet I make a card and send it out. Therefore, I have a handful of pet sympathy cards to post.
I made this card by inking a rainbow of distress inks on a patterned paper. Then the circle was cut out with my Creative Memories cutting system. The dog stamp is by Gina Marie and the ribbon is by Martha Stewart.

Black and white with blue Chipboard Card

The polka dot velvet patterned paper is by the Doodlebug. The white, black, blue, layers are chipboard pieces layered on top of each other. The blue chipboard is by Colorbok and the others are by American Crafts. The sentiment is by Fiskars. 

I’m going to try and explain this ribbon thing so that the future me will understand, maybe.

The ribbon is two sided; one side is black and the other is black with white polka dots. So what you’re seeing is both sides of the ribbon because the ribbon goes around the whole stack of chipboard you see the side with polka dots closest to the card base and when it comes out from behind the back you see the polka dots pattern. When it goes around the front, it passes through the belt buckle shaped chipboard and up to the top with the black facing front. Then I stapled them in place. It’s going to cost a little bit (a lot) of postage to mail it but it will be worth it.

Jesus is the Gift card

The background paper is by Stampin Up. The tag is by My Mind’s Eye. The die cut is a wallpaper sample and is cut out using a Spellbinders label one. The ribbon is from my stash.

A little long story that I want to remember how I felt at this time.

When I started this card I didn’t know my niece was going to come over so it was all over the desk. She proceeded to take lots of stuff out of the drawers and cabinets in order to finish only to put part of it together and leave me to finish it. Typical 12-year-old. But ya know what, I miss those days of her inviting herself over to my house where I would have so many things to get done and she would come over and we did WERQ a dance fitness class. We did marker cleaning (yikes! I should pay her for that.) we would make a mess in the kitchen and the craft room. Problem was, she would leave the mess for me to cleanup. I want that to continue but maybe it needs to be in a different way that the 13 year old (14 in March) girl wants to do. I’m willing to evolve if she is wants to think of what that something might be.

2 Different Purple Cross Cards

Purple cross card

For the card above, I used scraps of purple paper to create the background. I couldn’t get them on straight, so I purposely made them crooked. The cross is a stencil with iridescent embossing paste and they are both by Dreamweaver stencils. I had to cut behind the cross in order to feed the ribbon to lay over the cross. Then I attached the ribbon on the front with a glue dot.

For the second card, I stamped the Stampin Up cross stamp and colored it in with Copic Markers. I Outlined the cross with an STA Metallic Pen. The cross is layered on top of Cricut cuts from the cartridge Labels. The corner punch is by Marvy. The flower in the corner is unknown at this time but the leaves die cut is Recollections. Eggs in a row card for Terry

The egg stamps are by SNP and the sentiment is by Stamps of Life. I masked off the eggs so they looked behind each other. It then colored them in with Copic markers. I stenciled the background and added a ribbon to the side. Thanks for looking.

Never Before Used stuff-AG with something you've never used before. That stupid ribbon has been in my baby girl folder for years. It was brand new because I thought it was just for babies until I looked again and 3 out of the 6 ribbons can be used for Easter.

Fall Colors with leafy dry embossed background card

I found this beautiful background in “the drawer”. It’s dry embossed with a Darice embossing folder. I covered the background with Distress Oxide and sprayed it with Dylusions Shimmer Spray. I wrapped the rust-colored ribbon down the center of the embossed background and secured it around the backside. Then on top of the ribbon is a piece of patterned paper by The Paper Studio. I used my Cricut to cut out the sentiment. The leaves and the die cut in the center are by Spellbinders. I really like this card. I found the dog stamp by Stamp n Plus and colored with Copic markers, in the images drawer. Behind the dog is a Creative Memories sticker. Behind the Creative Memories sticker is a chiffon ribbon. Behind the chiffon ribbon is a white piece of cardstock that was dry embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, inked with Distress Ink, and sprayed with a gold shimmer spray.

Floral Friday Easter Cards with digital image printed on photo paper

For these two cards I used patterned paper by Provo Craft- we’re talking old stuff. The floral images were printed on photo paper. Unfortunately, I do not know where the images came from. 

The first card, the cream colored ribbon is from a dollar bin at Michael’s. The small piece of cardstock that is dry embossed is by K and Co. The Hallelujah stamp is from Dollar Tree.

The second card, uses rectangle die cuts by Spellbinders. The stamp set is downstairs and I’m still recovering from surgery and can’t find out. Thanks for looking
