Blue Mosaic Stamp and Punch Birthday cards

I used stamps by Stampin Up with Ranger blue ink
The sentiment is by Just Right Stamps and Hero Arts
The die-cuts are by Matching punch for the stamp set and the pointy circle in the center of the second card is by Sizzix
The patterned paper is by I dry embossed the 1st card with the matching embossing folder and lightly went over it with a Distress Oxide ink pad.
The second card background is a shiny cardstock by Recollections
The jewels are by Hero Arts and the ribbon in the second card is from my stash.

I had to use a padded envelope on the first card because of those jewels.
I make my own envelopes with the We R Memory Keepers envelope maker and put a piece of bubble wrap inside. The front of the card would go against the bubble wrap. I put a stamp on it that is for square envelopes or the mail that is not to go through the machine at the post office because it is more than 1/4" in dimension.

Thanks for looking

Here are some other cards using the same stamp.
^^^This one
is a cool example of how to use the punch for something other than the matching stamp.
I really enjoy searching for these former cards using the same stamp set or punch.
The fact that there are three posts using the same color blue in the stamp leads me to believe that I stamped them before January of 2017 and made the one card and set the other ones aside.
I'm trying to decrease the amount of half-done projects and/or use the images that have and just need to go on cards.

Manly Monday Just a Note Tan and Black Cards

These are my most masculine cards to finish out the week of music type cards.

The sentiment stamps are by Hero Arts and Stampibilities
The musical notes and symbols are die-cuts by Cricut or leftover stickers.
It felt amazing to use up a few sticker sheets and throw the packaging away.
The cardstock has been dry embossed by a Cuttlebug folder of sheet music.
For both cards, I do not know where I got the die-cut in which the sentiment is on.

This first one is a skinny card base from a pack I bought at a garage sale probably 5 years ago.
I've been trying to use them up just for the sake of using them up.
Anyway, I inked the edges of the dry embossed cardstock. The patterned paper underneath is by Creative Memories. I was able to use some eyelets, Yeah!

That’s all for my cards. Thank you for looking.

*This is me venting
I'm having a terrible time with taking pictures of my cards.
I didn’t even include the first picture that were taken in my craft area, yuck!
The pictures that are posted were taken outside. However, the wind was relentless and my cards kept falling down as soon as I set them up. Ugh!
So hubby offered to help (bless his heart for trying), and he used a piece of cardboard to block the wind. It worked but it’s a cardboard box for a background.

Tonight is the night to order some things online. One of those things is a photo box.
I need a way to take great pictures at any time of the year without struggling and wasting time like I do.
Fingers crossed that I will find something without wasting hours online looking

Deep Red Stamps For the Record Cards

I used a record stamp by Deep Red Stamps

The sentiment is alphabet stamps by Lawn Fawn
The patterned paper is by Me :)
I stamped the record in different colors on a sheet of off-white cardstock.
My rows weren't straight but, it works.

The colors look so different from out in the sunlight compared to lights inside. I thought it would be fun to see how I stamped the records on the cardstock after I cut it up and made it into cards.
Inks:
Dark blue-Ranger Blue Ribbon
Lighter blue-Hero Arts Cornflower
Aqua-Hero Arts
Green-Stampin Up
Green under that-Umbrella Sea Glass
Yellow- Ranger Archival ink Chrome Yellow

These are different size cards that I found in my stash, 3 3/4 x 5 3/4.
I'm trying to weed out things like that because I have a vintage suitcase that I keep my cards in and this size card doesn't fit well. I'm donating cards to nursing homes and other places and therefore I'm using the opportunity to get rid of cards of different sizes-that sounds horrible.

Just a Note Cards with Labels and Eyelets

I'm still chugging out more TY and TOY cards for everyone.
I've also sent out a few birthday cards for kids that weren't able to have their birthday party because of the stay at home order.

So for these cards:
I used stamps by Hero Arts and Stampibilities for the sentiments
The musical note die-cuts are by Cricut.
The patterned paper is by Prima
The first card uses die-cuts by Design Objectives.
Look at all those eyelets, Oh Yea!
I used Spellbinders labels, called grommet tags, for the second card
The center die-cut was embossed and then inked in the center.
I did that more when I had my Cuttlebug
I'm still learning on my Gemini which plates to use with what.

Just a Note Dry Embossed Rainbow Sheets of Music Cards

These cards are made with leftover backgrounds from a group of ATC's I made back in Feb 2017. I knew I would use them someday. lol

The sentiment sticker is by SRM Stickers and I put it across the top and bottom
The dry embossing is a Fiskars plate. They're really old.
I used them with my Cuttlebug but have feared to try them with my Gemini.
The Gemini company didn't have a warranty card in the box.

So, I'm not as willing to try new combinations on this machine quite yet.
^^This is the old me and I mean old like a week ago.

Because as of today, May 7th, I'm getting ambitious and brave enough to give it a try.
But which plates would I use run them in my Gemini is the question. Hmm

Continuing on with the cards, I inked the embossed area with distress ink. I'm not one to do rainbow colors but these turned out so cute that I may try it again.
Then I trimmed down the Strathmore watercolor paper and sprayed it with water
I kept dabbing off the extra ink with a paper towel so the embossed pattern would show through.
I added pink and black behind it to make it fit the card base.

The next card uses the same dry embossed plate but on plain white cardstock.
I went over the embossed areas very gently with an ink blending tool and the same colors of ink as above.
The sentiment is a stamp from Stampibilities on Bazzill purple cardstock.
It doesn't photograph well but looks nice face to face.
I used pink eyelets inside the Spellbinders label die.

Sheet music background stamp Card

I’ve been making cards for medical staff, hospice, nursing homes and whoever. I have so many music type cards to share that I will be posting them throughout the week. It’s repetitious but it helps me to stay organized which helps me not to post the same cards more then once.

I used a background stamp by Hero Arts with their inks Pale Tomato and Soft Cantaloupe.
The Chrome Yellow ink is Archival ink by Ranger and the red ink is Schoolhouse Red by Simon Says Stamp.
The die-cuts are both by Spellbinders, patterned paper on the die-cut on the 1st card is by Scenic Route and the second card is Bazzill cardstock.
I used eyelets on the second card and ribbon on the first.

The sentiments, the first card is by Hero Arts and the second card sentiment came from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine and was designed by Simonne Clay.
It's a very pretty collection of sentiments.

Fuse tool wedding layout

The photos I'm working with right now are really old. They've been processed differently from just 50 years ago.
This photo had frail edges that if mishandled the photo would crumble.
I felt the need to preserve that unique quality of a picture with my MIL in it as the flower girl.

Hubby's uncle admits that he has never seen the picture but disagrees with me on who the little girl is. It looks like her, my MIL, so we're going with it.
My in-laws have a strange family dynamic to share-I could ask MIL's mother that will be 100 this July and still has it all of her brains working. However, she has Macular Degenerative disease which is a disease where the vision starts from the outside closes into the center closing off most of her vision including peripheral vision. That's why she stopped driving at 94. lol
She can barely see out of the left eye, probably the size of a pinhead and the other is closing in on her too. She gets injections into her eye to slow the process down but...sadly it will continue to make her blind because there is no cure. I've seen many unspeakable things while working in the hospital for over 15 years but injections in the eyes gross me out. I could never watch that willingly. Yuck!
It's sad that she can't see pictures very well because she is a wealth of information.

So why not ask my MIL? I can't ask my 78-year-old MIL because she has Alzheimer's and doesn't remember anyone's faces anymore. I'm told that the situation of the healthy (-ish) mother outliving the daughter with Alzheimer's is rare.
This whole conversation reminds me that I need to call Grandma today.

The white outlining paper is a negative of a Cricut die cut. I had shaky hands gluing that booger down. You can see some warping but "It doesn't have to be perfect, It just has to be done" Cindy Groh
The patterned paper is by Colorbok and the floral stickers on top and bottom as well as the skinny border sticker at the bottom are all by Creative Memories.

I took extra pictures to show that the fusing of the photo's protector. It is not an impressive job with my technique or ability to use the tool but I want to be able to look back on this page and recall what design tip I used and the results.

This photo is to remind me how I can cover up an edge or all of the edges.

Here is the rest of the spread

I used patterned paper from the same CM pack around the photo and the stickers on the side are CM too.
The background paper is by Colorbok
The rick rack to match her outfit is by Wright's
The name is stamped with Lawn Fawn Violet ABC's

Sorry for the long post. I keep this blog as a diary to remember all of the things I've made because once they go out the door they are almost erased from my memory.
