1st Sunflowers Stencil with Embossing Paste and Chalk

Our challenge at Chalk Ah Lot, green with chalk, continues for another week. I made this card using a metal stencil with white embossing paste and let it dry completely. Then I took powdered chalk with Stamp N Plus colors Teddy Bear (brown), Lime (green), and Dandy (yellow) mixed with water and a paintbrush to paint the colors onto the raised surface. I had die cut the image and that shape didn't fit with the patterned paper scrap that I had so I cut off the sides of the die cut and distressed them with scissors and then distress ink. I add some pearls by Want 2 Scrap to the edges of the die cut and then on the sentiment to make my visual triangle.

The patterned paper is by Scribble Scrabble I distressed the edges with distress ink by Ranger. The yellow cardstock is unknown but I do know that it is embossed with a Gina Marie embossing folder called Victorian Lace. The sentiment stamp is by Gina Marie Stamps on Great Bible quotes stamp set

Thanks for looking.

ATC's - Fall edition

I have a little something different to share today; it's an ATC, well technically 2 of them. I bought a pack of Ranger ATC's at Hobby Lobby and had a chance to work on a few over the holiday weekend. For the holiday weekend we went to our cottage with my Mother & Brother-in-law along with my husbands 93 year old grandmother. It was fun however I lacked good packing skills and so my holiday weekend went something like this-I brought my rubber stamps but didn't bring the scissors to cut them to use; I brought Versa Mark ink and embossing powder but no heat gun; I brought stamps, ink, stickers, rub ons, paper, you name it for this frame that I was asked to put together but I forgot the frame at home; I had these invitations to work on that I brought my paper to use, trimmer, notes I had made but I forgot the template to the invitations at home; and one more I brought my Cuttlebug, plates die cuts and all to die cut my scraps of paper but I left the scraps of paper box at home as well. Therefore, these obstacles gave me playtime to just do whatever with what I had and so I came up with these ATC's to share.

This first one I made by background stamping the base with Stampin Up ink and a Deep Red Stamp that you can find HERE. Deep Red Stamps is a newer company that has many different images to shoose from. They are good quality stamps made here in the USA and you can find them at Oozaks and A Cherry on Top has some too. These two sites are here in Michigan, so to all the Michiganders please support the shops in our beautiful state.

Then I dry embossed it to give it more of the woodgrain affect using an embossing folder by Darice. After that I inked the edges with Ranger distress inks. I played with a few different colors until I got this look. The pie and utensils die cuts are by K and Co. The orange patterned paper is by Recollections however I inked it a ton and therefore it wasn't the same color as when I started. The purple paper is a scrap from IDK where and then the Thanksgiving sticker is by Flair Designs.

For my next ATC I used a background paper that I made with paint blobs all over kraft cardstock. I had forgotten I tried that a few years ago and didn't like it then.So when I pulled it out over the weekend I decided to do a little bit more to jazzy it up. I took my Ranger distress inks and inked it with multiple colors of inks and then I sprayed it with water mixed with gold Perfect Pearls. This peanut has so much sparkle that my husband ran away in fear. (He hates glitter and anything glittery-whatever!) I think the paint is by Plaid and the cardstock by Oriental Trading Co.

The die cuts are from the same pack as the ATC above K and Co. I placed the nut die cut on a Spellbinders Label #5 die that I had inked like the rest of the card. The patterned paper is by Scribble Scrabble-very old from my stash-and the metal sentiment is by Scrapbook Pro-local dollar store find.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Autumn Splendor card with Handmade background card

Blog Post UPDATED 10-18-21.
I made the background of this card using a scroll stamp and added a wheat stamp to a scalloped circle. The patterned paper is from a fall tablet by Recollection and the other patterned paper is by Scribble Scrabble (old from my stash). I used a Martha Stewart border punch, Cricut CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge for the die cuts.

This company (Stamp N Plus) is no longer around to credit for the supplies. But I'm keeping the challenge information just for my own memory.
Challenge #18 continues Anything Goes.
**You must use powdered chalk by Stamp N Plus.**

IDIC challenge #43

I did it Creations is here and ready for a new challenge. Thanks to everyone that supported us last week. This week should be very popular: ANYTHING GOES!!!
We  were supported by Digi's with an Attitude and here is the card I made with the image they gave us:
I'm not sure what I will use this card for but I was thinking along the lines of a thank you. "Thank you for your personal help" or "you are to kind to help me out" Something along those lines.
So lets see what you've got for us this week at IDIC's challenge blog. I'm falling asleep at my computer. I think that's my sign to get off of it. So have a fabulous week and I hope you get to play with us this time around.
