Bless Us oh Lord

Today's card is a hodge-podge of stamps. The background stamp is by Hero Arts, the cross by Recollections, and the sentiment is by Mark's Finest Papers. I did heat emboss the cross and the sentiment with a soft gold embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. Behind the cross is some mulberry paper that I distressed with water and then the wood grain paper is by Basic Grey. The oval die cut is by Spellbinders.

Easy peasy today. I hope you have a great one.

Thank You Card

Today my card could be a universal meaning you could change the design of the stencil or the font of the sentiment. I would give this one to a guy because of a the green and stars. They make me think of something I could give to a dude.

I used a star stencil by The Crafters Work Shop and sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I matted that piece onto a piece of green cardstock. I stamped the sentiment (Hero Arts) with Hero Arts black ink. I then set the silver star brad and then taped the panel to the card base.

You've Been On my Mind

When I made this card I didn't have anyone in mind I just liked the word bubble with the bubble dots that I cut out with my Cricut using Cuttin' Up cartridge. The fish is a stamp be Stamp N Plus and I colored the fish with distress markers. Once I added all the color to it I sprayed it with water and stamped onto white cardstock by Recollections. I fussy cut the fish out and matched up the colors with this Basic Grey patterned paper and some green to go underneath it. The sentiment is an alphabet stamp by Lawn Fawn (Harold).

Sassy Studio Designs Monochromatic

This week at Sassy Studio Designs the challenge is Monochromatic. I used the Praying Portrait for my card today. I printed it out onto watercolor paper and used Peerless watercolors and distress inks with a water pen by Ranger. I colored the eyelids with a light blue and then put blue distress Stickles on top of that. I cut the image down and matted it with a yellow cardstock. I decided to use scraps of patterned papers by Cosmo Cricket and Studio Calico. I covered the seam with a piece of yellow cardstock that I stamped with a border stamp by The Paper Co with yellow ink by Stampin Up. The flower is by Prima and I placed a strip of yellow Stickles on each petal. Then I placed three rhinestones in the center and the sentiment is a sticker by Studio 112.

May God Bless You on this Day

This is another one of the wedding cards I made for my craft show back in November. I made a ton of them and it worked out to be my biggest sellers. This card uses a dollar bin stamp from Michael's which I think means it is by Studio G. I stamped it with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with Stamp N Stuff embossing powder. I cut the circle out with the Creative Memories cutting system. I die cut the grey and sage dies out with my Cricut and the Lacy Labels cartridge. The sentiment stamp is unknown (I can't find that stinker anywhere) and I stamped it with a discontinued Stampin Up ink onto Making Memories patterned paper. The grey patterned paper is by The Paper Studio with the sage and grey cardstock by Recollections. The heart dies are dies by Lawn Fawn and the pearls are by Want 2 Scrap.

Manly Monday Football Champion

My guy card today is football theme, which I could care less about but it seems to be a hot topic on Facebook. The green and white cardstock is by Recollections the brown cardstock is by Bazzill, and the patterned paper is by Die Cuts with a View. The helmet is chipboard by Paper Accents that I painted with Studio Calica white {Mr Huey} paint. The football stamp is by Mark's Finest Papers. I stamped it onto Strathmore watercolor paper, with Hero Arts black ink and colored it in with Peerless watercolors. Then I fussy cut the image out and placed it under the sentiment which is a dry embossed white cardstock with an embossing folder by Darice.

Calendar page using Sketches In Thyme Project Life

Today's post is for the Sketches In Thyme Project Life edition. It's kind of cool because you can use the sketch for inspiration or to follow it completely or do as I did and that is I rotated the sketch upside down and didn't use a few elements on the card. I also didn't use the card for a Project Life layout. I used it on a regular layout however my layout is a calendar page.

Here is my card. The background patterned paper is unknown. The brown paper that is scallop shape is by Creative Memories. The scallop shapes are Cricut cuts from the Storybook cartridge. The yellow circle is a scrap of paper I found in my stash and the circle punched it with a Marvy punch. The mountain stamp is by Stampin Up and the ink is by Ranger's distress markers. I colored on the stamp and then stamped it onto white cardstock by Recollections. The sentiment was constructed with Lawn Fawn alphabet letters.
Here is the layout that I used the card in. My card is kind of simple but I like that simpleness with the 3 busy pictures. Solitude is the name of the ski resort my Aunt and Uncle rented for my cousin's wedding in Utah. It was awesome of mountains and trees everywhere. Unfortunately, I have pushed around in a wheelchair the whole trip because my back was really giving me a hard time.

So here is the sketch:

Come on over to the Sketches in Thyme Project Life style to join in on the fun. CLOSED

Cricut Rattle Baby Shower Card

For my card today I die cut out a rattle and a scallop square from my Cricut off the Cricut Sampler cartridge. I used some old papers that I had for the die cut and unfortunately I don't know the company names. The background paper is by The Paper Studio and the pink cardstock is by Sunborn. The black cardstock is by Recollections and the sentiment is a rub-on by American Crafts. The ribbon is by May Arts and the little tag under the ribbon is by Making Memories.

Cat Corner

I have two similar cards to show today. They both use cat stamps by Gina Marie. I stamped them with Colorbok pigment ink and let dry over night. Then I die cut the images out with a Spellbinders and inked the inside with distress ink. The patterned paper is old stuff by Creative Memories and the paper underneath is by Bazzill. The sentiment I printed from the computer and inked the edges. The brad is a really thick and it's by Buttons Galore.

For this card I has added Tim Holtz jute to the bottom and in the center which is by Ranger. Otherwise all the supplies above go with this card too.

Sassy Studio Designs 3, 2, 1 GO!

This week at Sassy Studio Designs  the theme is 3, 2, 1 GO! So what does that mean? You need to use 3 papers, 2 buttons, and 1 ribbon on your project. I created a card using the Scarecrow Portrait. I printed the image on watercolor paper and colored in the image with Peerless and distress inks with a water pen by Ranger Industries.

I used three different patterned papers by Provo Crafts and the bottom paper is of hay. I placed two very small buttons, one on the hat and one at the end of the rope around her neck. I tied the ribbon around left lower corner into a bow. The sentiment is Lawn Fawn Harold alphabet stamps and Stampin Up brown ink.

Lego Cards

I credit this card to the uber talented Jennifer Brum. Most of the cardstock is by Recollections. I die cut the small circles from my Cricut Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. The sentiment is by Gina Marie. Check out her website for great deals on supplies. I stamped it with Hero Arts black ink.

Congratulations

My card today uses two stamps by Stampendous. First the bride and groom have been stamped with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with platinum embossing powder by Ranger. I die cut the image out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside of the die with distress ink. The second is the sentiment stamp that I decided to do the same heat embossing as the image. I hadn't planned on that but I loved the look. The patterned paper is in the background is unknown but the gold paper that I used on the border is by Creative Memories. (I kind of hoard the gold paper and didn't want to "waste" on just any project but I'm trying to overcome that "I have to keep it" problem. It's a work in progress.) To finish the card I used a border punch by EK Success and I added a small pearl in the center of the design. The pearls are by Want 2 Scrap.

Manly Monday Bowling Card

Today my Manly Monday card is about bowling. I really miss bowling but there's no way I could do it now with my back problems. My husband is on a league and they wear funny bowling shirts. I showed him this card and he approved of it for Manly Monday.

The black and white cardstock is by Recollections and the red is by Hobby Lobby. The stamps are by Too Much Fun and I stamped them in a blueish/purple color which I have no idea what I used for this but the red ink is by Stampin Up. The circle punches are by EK Success and the large circle is cut out with Creative Memories cutting system. The bowling shirt sticker is by Jolee's and the sentiment stickers are unknown.

Easter Layout from Jake’s book

I am making a scrapbook for my nephew and my sister has not been as organized as I would have liked her to be. So I have Easter pictures that are not dated however these ones were labeled and so I put them together in one layout. I decided that I don't have to go in chronological order. That's new to me and almost makes me break out in hives. I'm working through it and you will see that come out in the next few months.

The patterned papers are by Making Memories and the cardstocks are by Studio G and Recollections. The title is a Cricut cut using the Cuttin Up cartridge. The center line of eggs is a bunch of different products. The orange and multiple colored small eggs were Cricut cuts but I'm not sure of the cartridge. It was a freebie on Cricut Craft Room. The pink stamped egg is a Close to My Heart stamp and the yellow and orange sparkle egg is a Studio G stamp. I colored it in with Clearsnap smooch ink and Ranger Stickles on the stars. The black stamped eggs are by Stamp N Plus stamps that I stamped with Hero Arts black ink. I colored them in with powdered chalk that I mixed with paint. Then I fussy cut the eggs out and added them to border. The eyelets are by Eyelet Outlet.

Be Joyful in Hope

In my card I stamped the sentiment by Recllections with Hero Arts black ink onto Strathmore watercolor cardstock. I die cut the sentiment with a Spellbinders die and also a larger one to mat it on. I inked the inside of the die with the stamped sentiment on it with distress ink and an ink blending tool both by Ranger. Then I tried something new and I didn't really like the results. I colored in the words joyful and faithful with the pointed side of the distress marker. It didn't really blend well and gave a blunt look instead of a soft look that I was going for. So lesson learned. Oh well.

The patterned paper and blue cardstock are both by Recollections. I dry embossed the cardstock with a Provo Craft embossing folder and the Cuttlebug. The cross is another Spellbinders die that I inked with distress ink while it was still in the die.

Love Brought You Together as Husband and Wife

I have a wedding card to share today. This one uses a bell stamp by The Embossing Company. The date on it is 1993 which would make this my oldest stamp. I heat embossed it with Versa Mark ink and Stamp N Plus gold embossing powder. The image is on Ranger watercolor paper and was colored in with distress inks and a water pen. I die cut the bells out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside with Squeezed Lemon distress ink.

The yellow border is a die cut by Cricut using the Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge {Latice Border 1x11} and I've added a pearl by Want 2 Scrap in the center of each middle opening. The yellow cardstock is by Recollections and the peach cardstock is by 3 Bugs in a Rug. The background paper is a light glitter paper but I'm not sure of the manufacturer since I've had it for eons. The sentiment is a Stamping Scrapping stamp stamped with black Hero Arts ink. I matted the longer part of the sentiment with gold cardstock and used heart dies by Lawn Fawn to pull it all together.

Sassy Studio Designs Thursday challenge

This week at Sassy Studio Designs the theme is vintage. I struggle with this kind of style but went for it with an open mind. I used Capricorn Portrait for my card by printed it onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored it in with Copic markers. The patterned papers are by Die Cuts with a View and K and Co. The doily is by Little Yellow Bicycle and the die cuts are by K and Co. The flowers are by Recollections and the sentiments are stickers by Studio 112.

Galloping Horse Card

Today's card features a horse stamp by Inkadinkado. I stamped it with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with copper embossing powder by Ranger. Then I die cut it out with a Spellbinders die and inked the inside with distress ink and an ink blending tool both by Ranger. The fence is a sticker by Doodlebug that I put on the die cut with a little hanging over. Then I ran it through the Cuttlebug again and the sticker then fit to the die. The background paper is by Die Cuts with a View and the brown ribbon is by Stampin Up. The black faux leather and silver buckle were pieces from an old dance costume.

To Have and to Hold

Today I have another ring card for you. You can see the first one I posted HERE. The diamond is a Sweet Stamp Shop stamp however they no longer sell it. I think that you could use THIS one by Ellen Hutson or THIS die set or Lawn Fawn has a new stamp set.

The actual ring is silver heat embossed white cardstock that  I did a Jennifer McGuire trick by taking the Versa Mark ink pad and patting it onto the cardstock in a large enough area to fit my circle punches. I punched a small circle first and then a larger circle just outside the small circle to make a ring. I used punches by Creative Memories and EK Success.

The rest of my card uses die cuts by Spellbinders and Stickles on my diamond. The patterned paper is by The Paper Studio and it is matted with a black cardstock by Recollections. The sentiment stamp is on a scrap of black paper from my stash. The stamp itself is by American Crafts that I heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

Manly Monday Burnin Rubber to the Finish Line

Today's Manly Monday card is burnin' rubber. The stamps are by Close to my Heart {very old} and I colored in the little bit with Stampin Up colored pencils. I used the white colored pencil, which I rarely use, on the smoke behind the car. The black cardstock is by Recollections and the rest of the paper is unknown but I thought the black and white checkered paper was appropriate for the theme of the card.

For this card I used the same products but added the Papertrey Ink arrow dies to the bottom.

Baby Rocking Horse Card

My card today features a rocking horse stamp by Stamp N Plus. I stamped it with Stampin Up ink and then die cut the image with a Design Objectives die. I inked the inside of the image while the paper was still in the die with distress ink. I die cut the two Spellbinders dies that are behind the image. The card base is by Recollections, the teal paper closest to the card base is by Studio G and the background paper on top is by SEI. The ribbon is from my stash but the sentiment is a vellum sticker by K and Co that I placed on to white cardstock.
