The Value of an idea Card

This sentiment is a great lead-in to a belated birthday card. The idea is to send the card on time.
I find it funny that recently I used ribbon on a card and now ribbon has been on a bunch of my cards.
The centerpiece of the card is an ATC that I give credit to in the picture below.
I stamped the background with Close to My Heart stamps. The ribbon is by Offray and the dots are by Gina Marie.

Below is the ATC designer.

Thanks for looking.

Sitting here...Thinking of you card

The bird on the branch was originally an ATC that I thought with a few added bits, it would make a nice card.

I made the sentiment by stamping these alphabet letters stamps from the dollar bin at Michael’s.
They are the second generation stamped.

The dry embossing is a Cuttlebug folder.

The polkadot patterned paper is by Crate Papers.

The inside sentiment says, “thinking of you”.
So all together it says, “Sitting here thinking of you”.

This will make a nice donation card.

Bright colore handmade Flower cards

I should have posted these with yesterday's post but I felt like the WoW! colors of these would overshadow the softer colored flower card.

I don't have it in me to list the products. If you have a question on something please leave me a comment.

I made these ATC's in 2017 and they were published in

Swap Art

Softer colored Handmade flower Card

The center flower stamp is by Stampendous. I filled it in with Glossy Accents.

The sentiment is by Hero Arts

The punches are by Creative Memories

The patterned paper is by Stampin Up

Jute is by EK Success

Distress Stickles on the pedals of the flower.

These are all of the flowers I made years ago. They just need to be made into cards.

Then, I found these in my drawer.

Citrus Hello Sunshine Former ATC Card

I made this ATC in 2017 and decided to use it.
Truth-it was sitting on the counter and I didn't want to fuss with my ATC folder.

Check out the link for the stamping technique on the ATC.
The dry embossing folder is not one I own. I did put distress ink on the raised areas.

I tend to find A LOT of rabbit holes during the day. Not one of them is helpful in pushing my progress further along.
So if I can recognize that an action or doing something that isn't necessary and may lead to a rabbit hole search, I'm trying to avoid them. Trying.
However, I felt the need to find out when I made this ATC. I started looking in my photo folders. Which lead me to start organizing my pictures.
That is a big No-No!
Frustrating! Annoyed! I keep seeing that one picture somewhere else-so do I keep it? I'll just make another folder!
NO-NO-NO!!
I need and have offered to hire a minion, I mean HS student, to go through and delete duplicate photos for me. I will pay them for it.
In my dreams.
Thanks for looking and listening to my babbling.

Peacock ATC turned into a card

The peacock in today's card was an ATC
but it didn't quite fit into my notebook of ATC's
I decided it would be great on a card that I would donate

So there was very little for me to do with such a beautiful card as the main focus.
I stamped a Stampin Up background stamp with purple ink onto a mint colored cardstock
Then, I added two brads from stash
Boom! Done!
Is that wrong of me, to use ATC's on cards? I think it's okay to do so if I'm donating them.
I did feel funny about watermarking it.
For some reason, I didn't get the maker's name to give credit.
I made it a while back and can't recall the specifics.

Anyway,
Thanks for looking.
Have a great day.

Easter Lily Cards

This a very old post that I found and after searching my blog these cards were never posted. However, they are so similar to these
I'm making Easter ATC cards for a swap using a vintage flower.
There is another vintage flower section of png's on the blog
I stamped the background with a Hero Arts background stamp with SU moss ink. I inked it with different colors of distress ink. On top of that layer is Mulberry paper that had been made to stick to the front of the card. I printed the flowers onto glossy paper and adhered to the front of the card. Then I added Jolee’s cross sticker.

I also made this card using another digital image from the same batch.

Out House ATC

The Earring Outhouse ATC
The tag is from my stash and I stamped it with the Weathered Wall stamp by Deep Red Stamps. I used Tarnished Brass distress stain mixed with Platinum Liquid Pearls. After that dried, I stamped the ATC again with the Weathered Wall stamp using Gathered Twig distress ink.

The background has been masked with small stars die cuts by Lawn Fawn. I inked the ATC with multiple distress inks (Ranger) and then sprayed it with water.

Rooster ATC

Today I have a rooster ATC to share. The word Rooster reminds me of the character in the 1980's version of the movie Annie. He was Miss Hanagan's brother. (I think that shows my age).

I have this honeycomb stencil by Tim Holtz that I thought it would be a great chicken wire look for my background.  I decided to do reverse inking where I put ink down on the stencil and put the paper on top of the stencil. I started with the ink Antique Linen but needed more color. I tried black soot and that was too much. Finally went with Hickory Smoke ink because it was visible but didn't take over the card like the black did. All the inks mentioned above are distress inks by Ranger.

I masked off the sky with a cloud punch by no name and applied Tumbled Glass ink to the top of the card and Antique Linen to the bottom, both with distress ink tools. The fence is a Doodlebug sticker that I didn't have enough to cover the ATC. I decided to cut it in half and place the rooster in between. You would never be able to tell if I didn't tell you. I added a Creative Imaginations sticker to the right side.

Orange Hello Sunshine Card

I made this ATC for a trade but didn’t end up duplicating it or trading it. The Recollections orange cardstock was stamped with a Stampin Up Wheel using white pigment ink. Once it was dried, I stamped it with the Hero Arts leaves stamp with green dye ink. The white ink shows through the green, which I think it’s called a shadow technique.
The bottom stripe of oranges is patterned paper by My Little Shoebox Circa 2010,
The "Hello Sunshine" sentiment is an epoxy sticker from Michael’s.

Lighthouse ATC

Here  is another ATC that I made with a piece of fabric. After I ironed the lighthouse image onto white card stock I added a vellum sentiment.  It was easiest to hide the adhesive by wrapping the vellum around to the back of the card. I finished by rounding the corners.

A Basket of Apples

I made these ATC's for a Facebook group I am in. The apple image is a piece of fabric that I ironed on to white cardstock. Then I dry embossed the whole paper with a Sizzix embossing folder.  I painted white translucent paint over the entire paper and image and added copper perfect pearls. The ribbon notion piece at the bottom tied in a bow is from my mother-in-law stash.

 Thank you for looking.

Musically inclined cards

These are my ATC cards from last month. The background is a combination of distress ink and gold perfect pearls. I stamped the Music Swirl stamp by Deep Red stamps with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with Ranger's copper embossing powder. Then I adhered small translucent and gold stars with multi medium mat and adhesive. The sentiment stickers are by Creative imaginations.
