I bought a Holly Hobby stamp set while in Wisconsin October 2022. It’s exclusive to Cardmaking Magazine and I got it for a buck. I bought it for my cousin’s birthday which was Nov 2023.
I made a part of this card for,
Project: Cardstock and not cardstock (tan is cardstock and foto paper is not)
Colors: Santa’s workshop (red, green and neutrals)
Element: Collars (there are collars on dresses)
Random: Zigzag (green rub ons)
After Craft Roulette, I wanted to do more with the card for my cousin’s 50th birthday. I wanted to depict something special that was a piece of our childhood. That piece was Holly Hobby.
I decided to use all of the images in the stamp set. The card front image opens to the right and that door was covering the second image.
The Craft Roulette part of the card was the little girl leaning over top of fence.
The picture above is what you see when you take the card out of the envelope.
Then you open the mini card to reveal the girl on the fence on the left and the girl in the field on the right.
There’s one more turn. And that shows the last little girl in the stamp set and she’s flying a kite.
Not what you would expect from the front is it? Here’s the thing. I didn’t expect to add the girl laying on the grass but this is what the back of the mini card looked like this,
I needed to cover that so I stamped and colored the little girl on the grass.
My cousin loved the card and was super impressed.
The patterned paper is an oldie from Provo Craft. The rub-ons came from a pack of borders by Making Memories, maybe. The stamp set is from a magazine. I colored in the images with Copic Markers and used alcohol inks to create the skies and the grass. The grass stamp is by Stamp N Plus Scrap N. The sentiment is on vellum is from Quick Quotes.
Thanks for looking. HAGD!
