King of the Grill Happy Father's Day card

I made this card for my cousin's husband. I cut this card with my Cricut and backed it with black on the grill and the rest with a yellowish green color patterned paper by Colorbok. The inside is a belated birthday greeting, stamp by Great Impressions. Then the other side is the same paper and I'm not sure who the stamp is by.

Manly Monday Solitaire

Edited May 2021. See sidebar for explanation

In Manly Monday this week I'm showing the card I made for my mom's significant other for Father's Day. He likes to play spider solitaire and I had this card die from Quickutz that I thought was cute and kind of fun. The alphabet dies are also by Quickutz. All but the green cardstock is by Recollections. The green cardstock is by Coredinations. The letter stamps are by Lawn Fawn and the ink by Hero Arts. Nice and simple today.

Welcome back to Manly Monday. Please click on the blog name to be directed to the masculine card.

Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Crackled Leaf Card

Edited May 2021. See sidebar for explanation.

For my card I used patterned paper by DCWV, cardstock by Oriental Trading Co and Recollections, stamps by Stamp N Plus and ink by Hero Arts. The leaf is a Spellbinders die cut which I used on chipboard. I then stamped the leaf with a background stamp, inked it up with my Ranger Industries distress ink and blender followed by covering it with Crackle paint Rock Candy also by Ranger Industries.

This week's Manly Monday is stacking up to be totally awesome. I have had so many replies from bloggers who would love to have their cards showcased. I'm super excited for the variety we have in store for you and just the amazing-ness of these cards. Please be sure to leave these talented paper crafters a comment on their blogs. Manly Monday DCWV paper Father’s Day card

With Father's Day jut around the corner find male cards has been a lot easier. There are a lot of Father's Day challenges out here in blog land. For this edition of Manly Monday I'm going to give you links to these challenges from the past week for you to find masculine card inspiration.

Here are a few I came across. If I missed some it was either I couldn't quickly find the challenge due to too many posts in-between the challenges with no direct link to the challenge posted anywhere or I just accidentally miss it. Some of these challenges have special requirements so please check each blogs rules.

For my manly card I'm using patterned paper by DCWV. The stack I'm using for all these cards is........
It comes with a sheet of journal blocks and sayings. I cut this saying out and adhered it to a journal box. That's the argyle pattern poking through. Behind he sentiment is a piece of ribbon to cover the seam of the two papers. Normally I wouldn't use ribbon on a guy card but rules are made to be broken in the craft world. The bottom patterned paper is dry embossed with an embossing folder by Darice. It really spices up patterned paper hen you emboss it.

Father's Day galore

I had made a large amount of Father's Day cards to sell at the local scrapbook store and of coarse took pictures of them all. So I am going to be showing you these cards from today through to Manly Monday. Guy cards can be so difficult to make that I hope these cards will inspire you when you sit down and make your own. I'm not going to list the supplies for these posts but am more than glad to answer any questions you may have. Just leave a question in the comments and I will get back to you.

This image is recycled from an older card I had waiting to be used.

For this card I used pop up adhesive on the negative of a circle cut out. This way the Dad circle and blue circle sit down into the brown paper. Just a different dimension that isn't girlie.

Below, I colored the tag in with my Copic markers. The tag is a digital stamp.
I am still a beginner with the Copic markers that doesn't practice enough. Do you color with Copic markers? What would you say is your level? If you have a blog filled with Copic marker creations, leave me your blog addy in the comments so I can come drool over your stuff.

That's it for today come back for more tomorrow:)
