Adelynn sign

Sorry for my absence, The last 10 months has been insane. I’m feeling a lot of tensions but I’m trying to learn how to balance them all.

I had made the A and she liked it so much we finished her names.

It turned out beautifully. So much that we have to do the other t2o girls.
Have a blessed day and be thankful for those around you.

Thank you 😊

Flowery and Beautiful A

My friend and I found this wood A at a garage sale. I painted it first with pink Plaid paint and then I just layered the flowers, chipboard odds and ends, buttons, rhinestones, glitter dots and everything in between. Now she wants me to do the rest of the letters in her daughter's name; Adelynn. What did I start? If you missed it, here is a link to the purple crown I did as a test for this A.

Manly Monday Chalk Marker Card

Hey, Hey, I have a Manly Monday card today.

The black background for the hexagons is a piece of cereal box board that a painted with Plaid chalkboard paint. I had cut out a bunch of hexagons out using my Cricut and had this negative leftover that I thought was perfect as a stencil. I outlined each hex before coloring in the shape with the blue chalk marker. Super cute and perfectly imperfect. The blue paper is by Sunborn, black and white cardstock by Recollections and sentiment die by Lawn Fawn.

Large Green Ornament Happy Holidays Card

I really like this card. It was another one of those images that were done and matted when I received it from that old lady I always talk about. I added the third layer of green behind the silver paper. The patterned paper is by October Afternoon. I stamped the Plaid sentiment with Memento Ink and added it to the bottom.

Merry Christmas Wreath Card

For today's card I Cricut cut a bunch of doors with a white back and a circle with a circle cut out of the middle. I randomly stamped the circle/wreath with the same holly stamp in green and colored them in with colored pencils. I adhered the door die cuts together and then to the patterned paper (Basic Grey). I adhered the wreath to the door and set a red brad at the top. I stamped the Plaid stamp sentiment on white cardstock using red ink by SU. Then I added the panel to the front of a card base. I prefer the brad to not show through on the inside of the card for the recipient to see it.

Frozen Celebrate card

Today Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the challenge at CCC Digi Creations. The theme is Add Some Sparkle. I am using the Snow Queen Sassy.

I printed her onto Strathmore watercolor paper and colored her in with Peerless watercolors. I did color in her cape with Stardust powdered chalk mixed with paint. I die cut the image out with a Sizzix die and inked the inside with distress ink and an ink blending tool both by Ranger. I took the same paper as the background and trimmed around the image with a small edge left around the image.

The patterned paper is by Scrappin' Sports and More and it is dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. I added Perfect Pearls powder to the embossed area to increase its sparkle. The white star is a Quickutz die the I inked the edges with distress ink and then covered with glitter by Stampin Up. The blue star is chipboard that I painted with Plaid silver paint. Then I placed the star onto Sizzix adhesive sheet and then covered with Stampendous blue glitter. The sentiment is by Fiskars stamped with Hero Arts ink.

Make it Fly

This month I am on the Sassy Studio Designs Thursday challenge team. Our first challenge is today and it is Make it Fly or AKA things with wings. I'm using the Butterfly Effie Portrait. I printed her onto Ranger watercolor paper and colored her in with distress inks, water and a water pen all by Ranger, well not the water. After she dried I cut her down and matted her onto a piece of patterned paper. All the patterned paper is by Studio G. The sticker was in my stash and the rhinestones are by Plaid.

Adorable you

Happy Sunday. I'm posting over at the Chalk Ah Lot blog today for their challenge People Image with Chalk. My card uses a Stamp N Plus stamp which I colored in with their powdered chalks.

The stamp can be found HERE.
Powdered chalk can be found HERE.

This is the same image and colors I used for last weeks card because I find when I have the chalk mixed with paint it's a waste to not use it all. Therefore I created the two images within one seating with these beautiful colors.

The back ground paper is by Imaginsce,  striped My Mind's Eye and purple patterned paper by DCWV. The cardstock is by Bazzill (purple) and Neenah Solar white. The watercolor paper is by Royal and Langnickel Essentials with the chalk paint by Plaid. I die cut that piece out with a Quickutz die and my Cuttlebug. The finish the card off I have a owl brad by Eyelet Outlet, ribbon by American Crafts and sentiment stickers by K and Co.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Cu(te) Kiddo heading back to school

I'm posting for the Chalk Ah Lot blog again on this lovely Sunday. The challenge is an image of a person using chalk. My card uses a Stamp N Plus stamp that you can find HERE.  I colored her in with powdered chalk mixed with Elmer's glue and water. Then I painted her in. You can find powdered chalks HERE. I used the colors GEM and FLESH along with Teddy Bear mixed with Dusk. The purple is called Pearl Purple however its not listed on the website and therefore if you were interested in ordering it you would need to call Luann at 715-271-1873.

For the rest of my card I used patterned paper by DCWV, cardstock by Recollections, a die cut by Jillibean soup, embossing folder by Gina Marie and a die by Quickutz.

The black die cut is something new for me, Chalkboard paint by Plaid. I followed the directions for its use however I painted it on watercolor paper instead of the canvas like I was planning on. It still turned out well but I just wonder what it will be like on canvas. I'm not sure how to use it with the powdered chalks yes. It will take some time to play to get use to it. I thought the chalkboard tied into Back to School with the little girl and her backpack.

So thanks for stopping by and checking out my card.

Stop back tomorrow for a huge Manly Monday post. Tons of awesome inspiration.

Celebrate

I made a fun any occasion card using up some old product and combining it with some new. The patterned paper is by Making Memories and the blue paper is by Scrap Works. The off white paper is by Sunborn. Die cuts by Spellbinders, border by Spellbinders and pearls by Want2scrap. The lacy sticker at the bottom is probably from the 90's and it's by Mrs Grossman's. The stamp and ink are by Close to my Heart. The key chipboard is by Tim Holtz and the flower chipboard is by Stampin Up. I painted them with silver paint by Plaid. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at what I have been working on.
