Just a Note with muted Colors and a wallpaper leaf Card

Cindy Groh
Cindy Groh

The patterned paper is by My Mind’s Eye (background) and The Paper Loft (strips). The sentiment is a die by Spellbinders. I replaced the paper dot for with a dot for the “I” by Cloud 9. The label is made of chipboard and I painted it with Ranger’s gold distress paint and put Perfect Pearls on top of it. The leaf die is by Stampendous. The two leaves are unique for I cut one cut out of cardstock and one out of a wallpaper sample. Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Blue Embossed Distress ink Just for You in a circle card

The title is a little long. Lol. But it helps me know which card it is.

The sentiment stamp is by The Paper Co. with blue ink by Ranger

The circle punches are by CM. One large one under the diagonal patterned paper and two-layered on top with dimensional adhesive.

The patterned paper is by Die Cuts with a View
and graph paper is a Project Life card

The blue cardstock is dry embossed with a Sizzix folder.
Then I inked it with distress ink color faded jeans and spritzed with some water.

Thanks for looking

Princess Feather Portrait Tag

Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the Glitter N Sparkle challenge and as you know I am the GDT this month so I made a tag for the challenge.

I'm using the Princess Feathers Portrait image which is new as of yesterday. Hopefully you hopped with us to see all the new images and for your chance to win them {scroll down to the next post to hop}

I printed her out onto Ranger watercolor paper and colored her in with a water pen and distress markers. Then I fussy cut her out and inked the edges with distress ink. I stamped and heat embossed the tag, by Paper Accents, with a Hero Arts stamp and with gold embossing powder by Stamp N Plus and copper by Ranger Industries. I inked it with distress ink and then sprayed it with water mixed with Perfect Pearls. The jute at the bottom is by Tim Holtz and it is fed through a corrugated flower button. The feather on the left is by Maya Road and I covered it with green Metallic Fx by Dreamweaver Stencils. The thanks alphabet are also by Dreamweaver Stencils that I first inked with distress ink and then ended up covering with the same Metallic Fx. The portrait is adhered to a vellum die cut with the vellum by The Paper Studio and the die cut by Sizzix.

Thanks for looking.

Valentine's Day Love

More Valentine's love for you today. I made the background by heat embossing a background stamp by Hero Arts in red embossing powder by Ranger on white cardstock. Then I inked it with an ink blender and red distress ink and then sprayed the entire card front with water mixed with Perfect Pearls. The swirl/flourish is cut out using the Cricut and the flower is a sticker by Jolee's. I stamped the sentiment in red ink both products are by Stampin Up. Then I die cut the sentiment out using a Spellbinders die and matted it with pink cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

By the Sea with SNP

Today's card is also being posted onto the Stamp N Plus blog

The two shell stamps on my card are from the Stamp N Plus store

I stamped the circular shell in Sahara Sand SU ink and the tubular shell with SU's Night of Navy ink. Then I took an Ranger ink blender and distress ink to the edges of each shell. The die cut that the shells are sitting on is from Quickutz, paper is Neenah Solar White and the burlap is from my stash. The blue fabric looking circle is a brad by Fancy pants. I liked the blue color because it reminds me of the ocean and I really thought the card needed a third element to balance it out. You're going to find this hard to believe but here it is, I don't have a beach theme brad in my stash. I know, right. What's the matter with me:)

The sentiment is an epoxy sticker by Cloud 9. It is normally translucent but I decided to place some vellum behind it because I feared the fibers from the burlap would stick to it or that sentiment would be hard to read/make out. Therefore I mounted the sticker on some The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby vellum and cut it the same size/shape.

The blue cardstock strip and third background paper is by Stampin Up, the sand colored cardstock is by {or should I say was by} Creative Memories and the patterned paper on top is by DCWV. I thought this card was fitting since it's the last weekend before school starts.

You can find the shell stamps HERE

Thank you to Stamp N Plus for letting me post on your blog today.

Stop back tomorrow for the Chalk Ah Lot card also using Stamp N Plus stamps.

Challenges:
Because I can get a box of Michael's pre-made cards and envelopes cheaply about twice a year when they are on sale for 3 for $5 which each package carries 25.
