Manly Monday Camera Cards with the backgrounds made with scraps.

My first card has strips of paper leftover from projects. Some of the manufacturers are My Mind's Eye,  Colorbok, and Basic Grey. The white pieces of paper are probably patterned paper turned over. I do this a lot. For this card, I wanted to get out the Stampin Up wheel stamps. The camera stamp is from Tim Holtz and I colored it in with distress ink and water.

The Tag is by Basic Grey. The camera stamp and tiny stapler are both by Tim Holtz. The sentiment by Bo Bunny (?). The background stamp is by Stampin Up. The ribbon is from Michael's. I'll have more of these camera-stamped cards coming up. Thanks for looking

My second card is for a. Tag challenge at the The Male Room

You look Fabulous Given how old you are

This is the stamp I will use on the insides of the cards with cameras.

3 of my favorite Christmas Cards from this year

These are three totally different cards but I like them more than the others I made this year.

This stamp by Close to my Heart is not that long. You have to line it up and stamp it twice. The problem is, the stamp is stained and it’s hard to see. Sometimes it takes a few tries.

Anyway, I colored them in with some random markers on my desk. The let it snow is ribbon from the dollar store or the dollar bucket at Michael’s. The green paper is from Stampin’ Up! They make such pretty paper.

This next card, the patterned paper is by K and Co. the sentiment is by Hero Arts

Older crafters probably have a few of those metal stencils in their stash. I think that someone showed me how you can use one of them with a stylus.

About 5 years ago I was introduced to embossing paste but I haven’t practiced in a while. One day I sat down with embossing paste and stencils and practiced. The last ones I made were my best.

I found this tag in my stash from that day and wanted to make it stand out. So I heavily inked just the outsides of the tag to make the tree to be the first thing your eyes see.

I stapled a piece of ribbon from my husband's Oma with Tim Holtz Attacher

And this last card,
This is an old Stampin Up Christmas tree stamp. Stamped in olive and I trimmed it closer to size. The die-cut behind the tree is unknown but I do know the paper is by Fancy Pants.
I punched out 2 squares of the silver paper by CM. They don't sell it anymore, Ugh!
Then I cut the squares in half to put on the corners. The star is a button with embroidery tread tangled inside of it.

Christmas Cards all Year Round

This month at Christmas Cards all Year Round the theme is VINTAGE CHRISTMAS. This is way out of my comfort zone and I love that. Here's what I came up with.

This first one has a fun technique to give it the gold and glazed look to it. I stamped the horse driven sleigh by Stamp N Plus in black ink by Hero Arts onto Strathmore watercolor paper. I went over the image covering the paper with gold distress stain by Ranger Industries. Heat set to dry. Then the stamped image needed a little something more so I took Stardust powdered chalk also by Stamp N Plus and covered the paper with it. Finally I die cut the image out using a Spellbinders die and a black scallop die cut to go under it. The sentiment stamp and white craft ink by Stampin Up, lace is vintage, border punch by Martha Stewart, black cardstock and card base is by Recollections and patterned paper is by Karen Foster. Circle punch by EK Success.

My second card is unique with the vintage ribbon from my husbands grandmother. It was found within her sewing stuff and I snatched it up. I've had it for a few years and was saving it for the right time to use it. The time is now.

As for the other supplies; patterned paper by Making Memories, die cuts by Cricut and Spellbinders, sentiment sticker by Little Yellow Bicycle, tag by Sizzix, cardstock by Oriental Trading Co (kraft), Creative Memories (green) and Recollections ( off white), embossing folder by Stampin Up, distress ink by Ranger and button and floss from Oma's stash as well.

Vintage Style Santa Claus Christmas Card

This is similar to the one I posted last week.

For this card, I used an old book for the matte behind the Santa stamp.

I used my Spellbinders rectangle dies and a snowflake punch from Creative Memories.

The border punch is by Martha Stewart. Distressing inks by Ranger Industries.
