50th Anniversary invites

So I have a very full plate and didn't go to bed last night in order to finish a project that I wanted to have out in the mail by June 1st. Well I settled for June 2 or 3 when two wonderful friends of mine offered to help assemble my in laws 50th wedding anniversary open house invitations on June 1st. With that being said I have all of them done and ready to go into the mail as of June 3rd and that pleases me. Goal accomplished! Onto the next task.......

But before that here are 2 versions (just different patterned paper) of the final product that were sent to close immediate family members and then a lesser version was sent to farther away family and friends.
Yes I am insane and paid double postage for these beauties because even though I ironed the tulle and bow down for a long period of time they still didn't fit through the post office's slot. But in my defense I really thought the tulle screamed wedding and felt the need to use it.

My Mother in law told me her colors were peach and teal and with that I went with the peach a.) because I got the card stock and patterned papers dirt cheap and hey who doesn't want to spend less when you're dealing with large quantities of cards and b.) the peach and teal together just wasn't my style on the day I picked the papers out and c.) she said her bridesmaids probably don't remember what color their dresses were and what seemed like the biggest thing in the world 50 years ago is really not as important to her anymore. Bless her heart. She's a saint and the nicest woman I have ever known. Does she deserve double postage for putting up with him for 50 years? Hell yes! I would have taken him down years ago and told him to get his own damn coffee. LOL. I'm so glad no one really reads my fluffy writing. They might find out what I am really like:)

Supplies: MS border punch on scrap pieces of white CS, peach CS by Bazzill, PP by Scenic Route, stamps frame by HA, celebration and years together font by Lawn Fawn, 50 by SP, ink the color is SU Regal Rose combined with Tea Dye distressing ink by RI (I didn't have a peach colored ink so I made my own), ribbon by OF and oval cut out using the CC by PC.
Thanks for looking.

*Don't forget tomorrow is the last day at Shannon's Sentiments to link up your May challenges. New challenge and new month starts on Saturday. So if you can't get your stuff together by tomorrow a new month is right around the corner.

*I Did it Creations is using Happy Harry for their challenge and there is only 1 day and 19 hours left to get in on that one. There are only 6 entered so far. Get your tails over there and give the freebie a go.

*Christmas Cards all Year Round just started it's June challenge "Anything Goes" a few days ago. You need to complete 5 Christmas cards and link them to the blog by the end of June to be in the running for a fabulous prize. There hasn't been a whole lot of action on this site so your chances are good at winning and what about getting some Christmas cheer in June going. I already have a piece of paper that says buy this person this for Christmas. Crazy!?! I know, right! Also if you create an awesome card that you think would rock a magazine publishers socks off the time is now for Christmas calls. Cards Magazine has their December call up and it's due soon. Check it out HERE. Not to forget the Create book call and the Cricut magazine calls as well. So way to much info I think in this post. I will tone it down for the next post. It's an hour away from Friday. Party! Party! The weekend is upon us! Relax and Enjoy. Summertime is the best time in Michigan.
