This month at Christmas Cards all Year Round the theme is:
Winter Wonderland
I have two cards to share. For the first card, the winter cottage stamp is by Stamp N Plus and I colored it in with their powdered chalk mixed with paint. I love the stardust chalk as snow. I dry embossed the off white cardstock with an embossing folder by Darice and adhered it directly to my blue card base. I think gluing the rick rack on each edge anchors the whole panel to the blue cardstock. I die cut a rectangle die by Spellbinders to matte the image and die cut a Sizzix die for the sentiment. The sentiment sticker is by Cloud 9. The snowflakes are from a package of confetti and I embellished them by layering a sequin on top and a rhinestone on top of that. It was a little bit of a challenge trying to glue the pieces to each other and not my fingers. Oh well it was worth since I think it looks cool.

For my second card I had some strips of the snowflake patterned paper that I couldn't part with. I loved that paper so much and hoarded it until the bitter end. However I changed things up a bit from the original look by adding dashed lines inside all the snowflakes with a blue gel pen. It was a really good idea for the first one but by the time I was onto the second snowflake I was regretting my artist decision. These two pieces of pattered paper are situated on a piece of grid paper that I have inked the edges in blue.
The Season's Greetings sentiment stamp is by Stamp N Plus which I stamped in white pigment ink (SU) onto black cardstock by Recollections. The blue cardstock underneath the sentiment is blue powdered chalk mixed with paint from the card above. The snowflake die cut is by Spellbinders and I sprayed it with water mixed with Perfect Pearls by Ranger Industries. On top of the snowflake is the confetti, sequin and rhinestone embellishment. The other three snowflakes are stickers from Jolee's.
Thanks for stopping by.
