Stenciled Butterfly Cards

For my first card I created the background, using a Stampendous stamp that reminds me of a dandelion. To get the multiple colors, I used different pressures and second-generation stamping.
The butterfly is a stencil from Dollar Tree. I colored the lines of the butterfly with a red Copic marker. Then I added more color to accent the design in colors matching the patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket. When I cut the design out I left an outside border, which accents the coloring.
The sentiment is by Stampin and Scrapping. The last thing is the twine on the left side is by Lawn Fawn

The card above using two diagonal striped patterned paper and the obvious one is by Stampin Up. The second diagonal stripes are on the butterfly. I arranged the stripes to go in the same direction as the other patterned paper.
The butterfly is the same design as the first card. When I made this butterfly I only traced the design with red Copic marker and did not fill it in. A difference between the two butterflies is  out close to the edge. Then I ran a darker red copic marker along the edge.

The doodling on the top and bottom of the center panel comes from the pens used on the draw and cut feature on the Cricut. The sentiment is by Hero Arts.

Cricut Drawn Christmas Tree Upcycled Card

Every month a friend and I make Christmas cards. We call it 5on5: the goal is to make 5 Christmas cards on the fifth of every month at 5:00 PM. Each month we have a theme and  February’s theme was to reuse, recycle, or repurpose. Which brings me to this card that
I received this 3 years ago. It had a noticeable smudge of green ink in the upper left corner. It
took this long to figure out what I could do to the Cricut pen on the
I tried a white gel pen, which made the green ink smear more. To make it not look as though I’m covering up a mistake, I would have to go around each area just like it smear the green and cover it with a white gel pen.
This is what I have to say about that white gel pen wasn’t very consistent so I bought some off of Amazon that are amazing.

Anyway, the flaw needed to be covered up with something solid. I pulled out these not rhinestones or gems or enamel dots. Nope, none of those. They are a product by Imaginisce. You heat set them to your project with this tiny little thing that applies heat. They match the green marker used on the tree. Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Fold Out Christmas Tree Farm Card

I made this card for Craft Roulette #239 the parameters were to make an interactive card with picnic colors, farm elements, and strips of paper.
I’m not sure what this card fold is called but I am obsessed with it. It’s so easy to score and it looks like a rock star. The first picture shows what it looks like when you take it out of the cart. You don’t even see the trees on the outside until you open it up. I love that when you do open it up you have a full 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 view that stands up for display.
My picnic color is green. My farm is a Christmas tree farm and I have 2 strips of silver Sizzix mirror paper on the insides. I had a hard time getting the two darkest colored trees to fold in so you wouldn’t see them until the card was opened.
The front of the card is a Cricut draw, and I did it with a glitter marker. The middle Christmas   tree is from a store bought card, but the other trees were cut with my Cricut. The star top are from a corner punch that is made of stars. The perfect little size for things like this. I drew the tree trunks on with colored pencils and Copic markers.
Thanks for looking. HAGD!

Thinking of You Rusty Colors Card

The sentiment is from the cut and draw feature on my Cricut. The square was a negative of a die cut.  I created the side border swiping my ink pads back and forth. The rest was put together on a Kraft cardstock.

Thanks for looking and HAGD

November calendar layout remembering Jodi

Who was Jodi? My Mom called Jodi my brother’s “lady friend”. Jodi passed away on January 10th, 2018 from an accidental overdose. These pictures are representations of her, her dog Chloe, who passed away in 2022 and the sweatshirt with her son’s business on the back. The sweatshirt finally fits my niece
The bone background paper and the strip of patterned paper are and on the right side are unknown. (The Paper Studio-maybe) The yellow borders were from a paper pad by Die Cuts with a View. The butterfly sentiment and wings were made on my Cricut. The little butterfly to the lower right is a Memory Box die cut. RIP stickers and Chloe was stamped. It seemed appropriate to post this on my birthday, I miss her so much. Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Gabe Junior year Scrapbook layout

Cindy Groh

I will update this post with his school picture. Patterned paper by Bo Bunny. Alphabet stamps by Stampin Up. The blue on blue music note stamps are from Stampibilities.

The Cricut did all kinds of work on this layout. 1st it wrote on the vellum down the right side of the photo. 2nd the percussion is a draw and cut. 3rd it cut out the title. That G is having issues.

Thanks for looking

Candy Cane Lane card with a double heat embossing

This card is something else. I loved doing it and I need to find a different embossing folder to try the same technique, agree? And I will take ideas/requests
There are way too many pictures but sometimes that’s the way it goes.
The embossing folder is by We R Memory Keepers. It's a little bit longer, so that's why I could line up the design. Meaning I could do this technique because the opposite, embossed and debossed was longer and could line up. (that was a horribly long run-on sentence.)
The embossing folder is 3" wide. Therefore, these are 3 separate pieces of cardstock. (I think I said that)
I dry embossed 2 pieces of red cardstock and I'm not sure if they are from the same manufacturer they look like two shades of red. I hate the shades of red cardstock and how they are hard to match up. I probably didn't think the idea would work.
>Click<My cousin used to obsess over the shades of red and I would be so Rrrr, "Just pick a piece of red paper!" So one day I ran into a problem with matching reds so I fanned out the pieces of red cardstock all over my desk and took a picture. I texted her the picture and apologized for those times that she couldn't find just the right red to match her son's shirt when we were scrapbooking. She appreciated the apology.
>Click< Back- moving on with the tour.
Then I dry embossed a shimmery white cardstock.
I took a red "Wet Looks" Marvy embossing marker colored it into the debossed pattern and then heat embossed it with red embossing powder.
I did the same thing for the red cardstock but in white. The embossing marker is Embossing Dual Pen 11 #81 Clear by Tsukineko and used Hero Arts white embossing powder to finish the job.
I must say that I didn't use a powder bag before heat embossing and it shows with embossing powder everywhere. For the first time with such a technique, I'm all good with that.
I trimmed the panel down and gave it a nice white border on the sides. The sentiment is one of Cricut's print and cut.

This post was stupid long and way too wordy with probably many grammatical errors. This may be why I didn't want to post it. Thanks for sticking with me. Thanks for looking.
