How ya Doin?

I have an easel card for you today. I made the card base using Spellbinders dies and my Cuttlebug. The front of the card has been stamped with a Stampin Up background stamp using Ranger Industries distress ink. Then I took that same ink and a blender and inked the edges. I cut another scallop circle and cut the top and bottom off  to create the scene with stamps by Prickley Pear (clouds with ink by SU) and Mark's Finest Papers (birds with ink by Hero Arts). The sentiment stamp also by Mark's Finest Papers is stamped with Hero Arts Shadow ink, the patterned paper on the base is by Recollections, ribbon is by Martha Stewart, flower by Creative Memories and rhinestone from a local dollar store.

Thanks for looking.

It's Party Time

I made this card for the Facebook challenge at Kenny K. The digi is a freebie you can get from their website, http://www.kennykdownloads.com/
I colored her in with Copic markers. I'm not thrilled with her hair but I figure every time I use the markers it's  practice for the next time. I will get better at it but I think it takes lots of time and lots of practice. She has streaks in her hair and I put distress Stickles in them to give them a boost. I used Stickles around her belt buckle, bracelet, on her instrument and in the star. The patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye and Basic Grey, cardstock by Oriental Trading Co (kraft) and Coredinations (brown), die cut by K and Co, star stamp by Stampin Up and wonderful sentiment sticker by SRM Stickers.

Manly Monday Bottle Cap Toast to you

I found some guy cards, a few boy cards and an awesome masculine layout to share this week. Click below and leave them some love. Tell the designer you saw their creations on my Manly Monday post.

Soccer Tag
Here Fishy Fishy
Father's Day
Button it
Shirt and Tie
Young Boy
Boy Fishing
Happy 21
Motorcycle
Retro Superhero
Future rocker
Fishing boy
CAS design
Computer guy

For my card today I recycled some things in an effort to be green. I used left over clear plastic, like from sticker sheets, with alcohol inks by Ranger to create the cool blue background piece. My other green effort is using old bottle caps on cards. I find for our drinking friends and family, they get a kick out of seeing their favorite beer cap on their birthday card. Gives them that personalized feeling that this card was made for them.

The sentiment letters are by Lawn Fawn with ink by Hero Arts. The banner was cut out using my Cricut Creative Memories cartridge Holiday Frames and tags. The outline around the bottle cap is a sponge stamp from eons ago. I pulled it out with some Making Memories paint, stamped and let it dry. You have to have a steady hand when working on a slippery surface. One good thing is if you mess up you can wipe it off and stamp it again.

That's all I have for you today. Be sure to check out the links above for some fabulous manly card inspiration.

To have and to hold

I'm at one wedding and my hubby is at another wedding. I think we are way to old to hae so many weddings this year. Baby showers too. It's nuts that I can't go a year without a shower for either or a wedding. Oh well.

For my card I heat embossed the background stamp with a light gold color embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. The stamp is by Hero Arts and the ink is by Versa Mark. The die cut is cut out using my Cricut and the frame around it is by Jolee's. The stamp is by American Crafts and the ink by Hero Arts. I inked the edges of the die cut with Ranger distressing ink. The black cardstock by Recollections has been die cut on the edge with a Spellbinders die. The brad is by Eyelet Outlet and burlap from my stash.

Stamp N Plus card

For my card today I am showing you stamps by Stamp N Plus. Head over to the Stamp N Plus Blog to see what other ladies have created this past week.

The floral bough can be found HERE. I stamped it with Tsukineko chalk ink on K and Co patterned paper. The sentiment is also from SNP but the sentiment sheet is not on the website. See below to order yours.

I stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts black ink and then just layered my card with different patterned papers by K and Co and DCWV. The kraft cardstock if by Recollections.

Below is the sheet of rubber sentiments that you can purchase from Stamp N Plus or what we call SNP. To order call Luann at 715-271-1873 and tell her you saw this on Cindy's blog-more stamps for me then too. This sheet of sentiments is great for cardmakers and scrapbookers. With all the names, nephew, grandmother, dad, etc labeling a scrapbook page would be a cinch.

Love Card

Today I am setting up for a wedding that I have been working on for months. The day has finally come where I get my space back in my studio. Definitely looking forward to that. Here is the wedding card I made them.

The background (Hero Arts) was stamped (Versa Mark) and heat embossed (Stamp N Plus powder) in clear on patterned paper by DWCV. Then I used my distress inks and blender to bring out the background design. After that I wanted it to sparkle so I took gold metallic powdered chalk by Stamp N Plus with a cosmetic wedge and wiped it across the entire card. It really sparkles beautifully.

For my focal image I decided to use a new embossing folder by Darice-new to me- and then covered it with gold metallic powdered chalk too. The ribbon is by Hobby Lobby and the flower is by Recollections.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving such nice comments. I read everyone of them and smile.

This month at Christmas cards All Year Round the challenge is Gingerbread person with a ribbon and at least three buttons. I made a few to share today.

The red cardstock banner in the center is by SU and I placed a ribbon over it, down the center.  The sentiment stamp is by Stampin Up and the ink is by Tsukineko. The three buttons came from my stash.

Kenny K Boy Birthday card

I made this new card for the Kenny K tic tac toe challenge. My 4 things are Swirls, Digi image, ribbon and die cuts.

I colored this Kenny K image in using my Copic markers. My shading is off a little bit but I don't think the boy I'm going to give it to will notice.

The cardstock is by Michael's and Colorbok. The navy blue cardstock I embossed with a Darice embossing folder. I die cut the image and sentiment using Spellbinders dies. The ink I used on the image is by Ranger, ink for the swirls stamp (by TPC Studio) is by Close to my Heat and the sentiment stamp (by Stampin Up) was stamped with Tsukineko ink. The ribbon on my card is by Karen Foster.

Manly Monday Earth Day edition

I thought since today is Earth day I would show you some cards I made using recycled items.
For my first card I used the clear plastic that your stickers comes on with blue alcohol ink from Ranger. I save my pieces to use on future projects. The background stamp is by Hero Arts, boom box by Imaginsce, with the headphones by Stampibilities. The notes are stickers from The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby and the Dad stickers are by Creative Memories. I use Making Memories eyelets on the corners. I think eyelets are a manly item. The ink I used on this card is by Stampin Up (white) and Hero Arts (black). The headphones were cut out and the boom box was cut out using a Spellbinders die.

My second card is very CAS but I like it. I used a Monster tab from a can as my embellishment. I don't usually use ribbon on my manly cards but sometimes you have to break the rules. The stamp and ink are by Hero Arts. I then used Offray ribbon across the top and bottom. The pop tab is up on foam adhesive with the ribbon wrapped around it. I tried to hide the ribbon underneath the lower part of the tab. It took some messing with but I finally got it to look like I wanted it to. I love the splash of green for this card and my husband loved how simple it was.
