Manly Monday sports frame card

So, today is a good day to start posting on my blog again.

Why?

I like my blog. I like looking back and seeing my creations that I made years ago. So same schedule as before;

Happy Monday to all. So here is another Craft Roulette challenge card. Ya know what? The show airs on Friday and people have until Sunday at midnight to enter the challenge. That would be 1 AM my time. So of course I wait until 11 to start my project and it takes me until the very last second. I like the way the card turns out.

Craft Roulette  #177 

The parameters are games, colors-summer vacations, windows, and checks. I made the sunrise from yellow ink 

And a piece of paper to create the rays. Then I added put Stickles on the rays. I stamped the sports frame by Stampendous colored it in with Copic markers and then cut it out with the matching dies. The grass is made out of regular green ink. Since one of the perimeters was checks I took a green marker and drew checks into the grass. 

I apologize for the extra letters or words that are odd. My hands are very jerky today. Also, they say the anesthesia can cause a fog for a while afterward. I probably just got over the fog and then had my second surgery. Thanks for looking

Floral Friday Yellow Spelllbinders card

The patterned papers are by Papertrey Ink. The Copic markers that I used were:Y11, Y28, YG91,G24, YG99. The middle flower is raised up on 3M dimensional adhesive. I used a white gel pen and. some Stickles. Sometimes it was added to cover something lol up.The pattern paper is by Papertrey Ink.

Floral Friday Hello card with Half and Half

This card is one of my faves and there’s nothing to it. Patterned paper is by Making Memories and the word die cut paper is by Colorbok. The main die cut is by Simply Defined by Scrapbooking made Simply. I don’t exactly know where the sentiment die is from. But I do know that it’s in blue and white packaging and it’s a girl’s name. It’s probably in the basement. I can’t go into the basement to look it up because I had surgery in June and my balance is off making me more susceptible to fall. So I’m staying upstairs.

Christmas card with new Parameters

I’m very into the Friday night challenge on YouTube called Craft Roulette 

Craft Roulettes 

The new parameters 4.25 square.-blue square (cardstock  by Bazzill)

Craft Roulette colors-rainbow snowflakes (distress ink)

Which leads into another one is a bottom border (Stamp is by Cloud 9)

And the last one is -Night. (Dry embossing folder by Cuttlebug) 

I inked it up with distress ink. 

The sentiment is by Stampin Up. This card must be 4.5 x7 at least. It’s downstairs otherwise I would look. I thank you for looking.

August calendar layouts Family in yellow

These are almost the same layouts but were in calendars for different people. The main patterned paper is by Die Cuts with a View and the small piece is by Provo Craft. There’s a green star with a heart inside it and I can’t remember where those came from. The heart looks like a brad. The title word “Family” is a Cricut cut and it is adhered to two silver circles that are a circle punch by Creative Memories. The silver paper is by Creative Memories. The heart is a sticker by Sticko/EK Success.

Peaceful Kayaking Card

So this card was made for the Simon says stamp Monday challenge which is more like a grunge type challenge and if you saw my post from last week, you’ll see that I’m not the greatest at it. I’m going to keep on trying. 

I made this background with distress inks and water. It doesn’t have as much grunge as others but I did make this card for this challenge. Distress ink and distressed watercolor paper by Tim Holtz for Ranger. The stamp is by Stampibilities. The rub ons are by Making Memories. Thanks for looking.

Calendar layout Christmas in July

The patterned paper is by My Mind’s Eye. I used my Cricut to make the title. The wreath is a sticker by EK Success. I covered it with Modge Podge to seal in the glitter from shedding. I added a gold circle to the center of the wreath and adhered the word “in” to it. Thanks for looking. HAGD! 

Floral Friday My Cousin turns 40th this month

Let’s take note that this is a slim-line card. Some things I don’t do very often.

My cousin’s birthday is today and this is the card I made for her. I started out with a silver cardstock by Creative Memories. Sadly, they no longer sell this paper. Next is the pink gingham patterned paper is an oldie by Paper Pizzazz. 

So let’s talk about these flowers. So, Stampin Up, I’m working with 3 different stamp sets. 1 stamp set has a matching die to cut it out. For the remaining 2, you stamp the image and then punch it out by using a matching punch. I’ve always had a problem getting them lined up correctly.

The pink flower with the silver flecks is by Prima. The rest of the flowers are Gemini dies.

Warning: this next description is weird and messed up. Everything in this description is not in the same sitting. I mean like years apart. But it was a happy accident that worked out beautifully. 

I die cut a piece of pink paper by Sizzix. 

Then I got new dies by Creative Expression. 

I cut a new shape out of the old shape and then left it inside of the die for a while. Time goes by until 

I finally wanted to use my new die, so I used a blending tool with distressed ink before removing the die from the paper. 

Time goes by again. 

I wanted to make a special card for my cousin 

I placed a gray paper behind it and then found these number stickers and they worked perfectly for this card. I love the way it turned out. I hope she got it on time. Thanks for looking.

 That probably made no sense to anyone but it was worth a try. After writing up this post for an hour and 15 minutes I’m calling it quits. Thanks for looking.

July Calender layout Young Evalynn fishing at the cottage

Cottage life is fun. Especially when you catch a fish. That sweet little girl is now 13 and doesn’t want anything to do with her aunt. It hurts but there’s nothing I can do about that. All I can do is hope and pray that she’s making good choices.

 

All of the patterned papers are by Die Cuts with a View. The fish die cut was cut out using the Cricut. The bubbles are rhinestones. The wavy paper is the negative of a Tim Holtz scallop boarder. Thanks for looking.

Floral Friday Sunflower SparKLY Oval Card

I colored in the sunflowers in with Copic Markers. The sentiment is by Stampendous and the ink is by Stampin Up. The black paper is by Die Cuts with a View and the gold paper it by Sizzix. Thanks for looking.

Hearts on a String Card

This is an upcycled image from grandma’s house. I think there was a distant cousin that made cards and grandma kept all of the cards she received. Awww. The stamped image has been black heat embossed and colored in with markers. Then the red background was dry embossed with a Spellbinders double embossing folder.

There was some yuck on one of the corners so I added the corner tabs to each of them by using a square punch out the red cardstock and then cut it in half. That will give you the same sized triangles for each corner.

The only explanation why my corners are all different sizes is I was using a small and limited piece of paper and my square punch sizes were different. So I was cutting them in half at different points.

Manly Monday Let’s Bowl, Let’s Bowl, Let’s Rock n Roll

I sang that song ^^^over and over again while I was making this card, 

This is the front of the card. The orange patterned paper is by Imagination Project. The black patterned paper and bowling shirt sticker is by Karen foster designs. The black, patterned paper was a long strip, and I was being lazy. So instead of cutting it to the size of the card I made the card the size according to the height of both patterned paper scraps.

This is the back of the card. You can see where the black patterned paper is making its way to the inside of the card. I made the bowling lane using a ruler, a pencil and distress ink.

Then this is the inside of the card. Tada. The End. Oh no. There’s more…

That arrow, that’s where the goods are stashed. My friend’s son is turning 11 and we tend to give people money denominations same as their age. Soooo, Behind door number one is…

$11. He will like it. And he won’t care that it’s only eleven dollars. 

He will be grateful for any denomination of money that he receives.

The patterned paper is by My Mind’s Eye. The border is one I made with Spellbinders border die. The  butterflies are from Dollar Tree stamp set except the one that I colored in with Copic Markers. That’s it. nothing special.

Manly Monday graduation cards

Details/Products: The stars tape is by Scotch, the black cardstock from Scrapbook Made Simple, and the cap and diploma are puffy stickers by Paper House Productions. The sentiment is cut out with my Cricut and adhered to vellum. I adhered the vellum to a blue cardstock, which made the vellum look blue. I popped up the sentiment with white foam squares. The two corners were rounded with a CM corner rounder.

Details on my second card: Dry embossing folder by Darice. I inked it with distress ink. I adhered the sentiment to colored vellum that didn't match the school colors. So I colored the back of the vellum with a blue Copic marker before running it through my sticker maker by Xyron. The graduation cap is a sticker by Jolee's Boutique by EK Success. Fancy Fold Graduation card for Jazz

Today’s card is a graduation gateway type of fancy folding card. The white paper is belly band that you slide off and can then open the card.

The belly band is off  and the card is opening.

 Graduation card for Jazz. She’s a former student of my husband. They had some sort of playful thing with pizza and donuts. I included both elements in the card.
My cards normally consist of stamps and for this card, I wanted to challenge myself not to use any stamps. 

That’s a big thing for me. I made this whole card with stickers and super old paper by Creative Memories. I think it’s super cute so she probably loved it.

Floral Friday Vellum sentiment card

The flower stamp is by Stampendous. I inked it with different colored ink pads. The border punch is by Fiskars. I made the paper that color with the same ink pad used on the flower. The sentiment is vellum and I think it’s by Creative Memories. I inked the edges with distress ink. Thanks for looking.

I recycled the patterned paper from a card. The cardstock is from my stash. The "celebrate" and the "yay" are stickers. The balloon is brad and I added black floss. A busy card but I was happy to use up an old sheet of stickers.
