Upcycled Photo Frame Christmas cards

I decided to upcycle the photo frames that people send out with their kid's pictures. The frames aren't used anymore because people can go online and plug their pictures into the different layouts and TADA!! their photo Christmas card is finished. They even get envelopes.
Some
online services; Shutterfly, Walmart, Walgreens-I've heard that their quality is better than you would expect.

The trio of trees stamp is by Denami Designs Circa 1998. It was from the lady that went into the nursing home and I received all of her Christmas stamps and stuff. Well, she heat-embossed the tree in gold on vellum and added some glitter to it. I colored the green on the back of the vellum with green Copic Markers. To give the trees a little color.

The die cuts, I bought off of eBay.
The little card in the center is by Melissa Francis.
The glittery paper strip behind the center embellishment is cardstock that was sprayed with Glimmer Mist.

Something different for me, this card is size 5 x 6.5

The larger flowers are by Prima.

The sentiment is made up with a Lawn Fawn “Sending” stamp and a Hero Arts “A happy hello“ stamp.
The rectangle die-cut is one I bought off of eBay. I inked the inside with distress ink.
The patterned paper is by Die Cuts with a View

I will be donating this card

SNP Pink with Red Love heart card

I used stamps are by Stampin Plus Scrappin for the large heart and Lawn Fawn for the smaller heart along the border of the red cardstock.
I used the Stampin Up white pigment ink for those hearts.
The sentiment is by letter stamps with the word love that goes back and forth with black then red.
The patterned paper is by Bazzill.
The red paper is a scrap.
The glitter paper behind the rose heart is by Die Cuts with a View

Heart Hello Card. in purple

The sentiment stamp is by Fiskars. The purple ink is by Stampin' Up. The die-cut is by Spellbinders and I put purple eyelets in the holes at each end.

The large heart dies I bought off eBay.
The one on the left is glitter cardstock by Die Cuts with a View, which has been a disappointment. The 4x6 glitter paper pad that I own is showing deterioration with the edges curling and changing colors on the backside that wraps around to the front. I've used those papers in my scrapbooks. Bummer. Has any else had that problem with glitter paper?

The small heart die is by Lawn Fawn and I cut it out of purple foam. Hopefully, it doesn't get torn off in the mail.

The patterned paper is by Creative Memories. It is so old but it fits these hearts. Sometimes random pieces in my craft room find each other to come together to make this beautiful card.

Ready, Set, Snow ATC's

I combined Faber Cassell blue gelatos with white paint and silver Metallic Rub by Viva. I took a paintbrush and smeared the mixture onto the white packaging I had around the house.
Then I stamped and heat embossed snowflakes by Lawn Fawn randomly in the sky.
I stamped some other small circles from the same set with Charcoal ink by Hero Arts.

On the bottom row of ATC's, I combined white paint by Ranger with Perfect Pearls and painted it onto white cardstock. I tore the edge of the white paper and smeared Versa Mark ink on that torn edge. I heat embossed with white glitter powder by Stampendous.

The sentiment is Lawn Fawn and the silver snowflake is a package of confetti from Dollar Tree.

Good Luck card

Today's card is brought to you by Sassy Studio Designs. They are sponsoring a challenge at Open-Minded Crafts that is Luck/St. Patrick's Day. I'm not really keen on making and sending St. Patrick's Day cards so I went with the luck possibility.

I'm using Sandra's Graduation Sassy for this graduation card wishing someone good luck. I printed her out onto Cryogen cardstock and colored her in with Copic markers. I then cut her down and matted her onto blue cardstock and the white. I left a small piece of white at the bottom for my sentiment which is by TPC Company stamped with Hero Arts black ink. I die cut the star from a Quickutz die and covered it with white glitter. The flourish is a Cricut cut out of Die Cuts With a View cardstock.

The background on the blue cardstock is a Deep Red Stamp called Quantum Background. I stamped it twice, on top and bottom with black Hero Arts ink.

Poinsettia Dreamweaver Stencils Embossing Paste Card

I made this card for the "A Holiday with Chalk" challenge at Chalk Ah Lot. My cardstock is both white and red by Recollections. The sentiment is a rub-on that is very old but the star is a puffy sticker by Martha Stewart, the Patterned paper is by Little Yellow Bicycle, and the white ribbon in the center is by Offray.

For my image, I applied white embossing paste onto the Large Poinsettia stencil by Dreamweaver Stencils and let it dry completely. The next day I used my first used old makeup brush to apply Stamp N Plus Silver {Glitzy} powdered chalk to the center of the flower. It was at that point I realized that there was still some blush on the brush. {Ugh-Are you kidding me?} So I applied Stardust powdered chalk to the whole poinsettia with my finger to maybe cover up the blush {yea right} and to give it some major sparkle. Then I took my Zig glue pen and applied glue to the inside of the flower followed by sprinkling white glitter over top. After shaking off the excess glitter, I was really happy with how it looked and applied a little bit more.

Rainbow Colored Happy Birthday card for Chalk Ah Lot

Here I am again for the Chalk Ah Lot challenge blog with a mid-way reminder for the rainbow with chalk challenge. I made this card at the same time as the first one I shared with you right HERE. I do love the outcome of both of them with their ROY G BIV colors. The die cut in vellum is by Spellbinders and The Paper Studio respectively. I heat-embossed the birthday sentiment by Stamp N Plus in black and then added two rhinestones to the holes of the die cut. The glitter tape is by Recollections as well as the card base.

You can find all these chalk colors at Stamp N Plus's Powdered Chalk website HERE. Thanks for looking.

Scary Tree Halloween Envelope card

Happy Halloween everyone. I have another fun Halloween card today to share. My tree stamp is by.....

and you can find the tree stamp at Oozak's or A Cherry on Top. I heat embossed the image using white embossing powder by Stampendous onto black cardstock. The sentiment is something I came up with on my computer. I loved the cowboy font for Halloween. The whole piece is in an envelope by Neenah called Petal folders with seals. Something different for me. Heck, they were on sale and I'm a sucker for a colored price sticker:)

Other supplies I used on my card:
Cardstock by Time Holtz Coredinations, Bazzill, Neenah and Recollections
Patterned paper by K and Co
Ink is Versa Mark by Tsukineko
Puffy skull stickers from Hobby Lobby
Ribbon is from a flower basket my mother received a few years back for her October birthday. I love to recycle.

Thanks for looking.

MINI UPDATE OF PHOTOS, I MADE THE FONT OF THE CHALLENGES SMALLER, CHANGED THE TITLE, AND ADDED LABELS 10-25-21

The 1st challenge below is still going,

"Happy Day"

My card is also being featured on the Stamp N Plus blog. The iris folding grad cap stamp can be found HERE. I can't believe how easy it is to do iris folding and who knew I would like to do it. I used Hero Arts black ink for the cap and patterned paper by Recollections for the iris folding and Karen Foster as the background. The sentiment is a SRM Sticker.

The flourish is a piece of grungeboard by Tim Holtz that I painted with Adirondack Metallics acrylic paint which is made by Ranger Industries. While the paint was still wet I sprinkled Stamp N Plus white glitter all over it. After it dried I sprayed the flourish with Krylon Fixatif in desperate hopes that the glitter would stick to the flourish and not everything else in my studio. I must say this picture is great at catching the sunlight. Look at that sparkle!

Thanks for stopping by to take a look and if you have any questions, comments or concerns please leave me a comment below. I love reading them all-the good, the bad and the ugly:)
