Sizzix Impresslits Hexagon Cut and Emboss

I used a Sizzix embossing folder on the green cardstock. I stamped and punched out a Stampin Up hexagon out of a lighter green cardstock. The hexagon fir perfectly in the largest opening. The bee stamp is also by Stampin Up. I did a sloppy fussy cut to fit in the opening. Then the next largest hexagon opened a placed the hexagon that the smallest hex provided when it cut out. That's a crazy explanation. Thanks for hanging in there with me. HAGD

Just a Note with muted Colors and a wallpaper leaf Card

Cindy Groh
Cindy Groh

The patterned paper is by My Mind’s Eye (background) and The Paper Loft (strips). The sentiment is a die by Spellbinders. I replaced the paper dot for with a dot for the “I” by Cloud 9. The label is made of chipboard and I painted it with Ranger’s gold distress paint and put Perfect Pearls on top of it. The leaf die is by Stampendous. The two leaves are unique for I cut one cut out of cardstock and one out of a wallpaper sample. Thanks for looking.

June Calendar Layout Kids in the Foam Pit

This is such a bright layout but the papers match the foam in the pit. The title is from my Cricut. The vellum sentiment is unknown. There are many scraps of paper. The blue/purple cardstock is from Craft Smith (Michael's). [Is it blue or is it purple? that is the question. lol]
The orange papers have a little more to them. The polka dot paper is by Papertrey Ink. The orange paper on the bottom row from left to right  I have a feeling that the first paper has something on it. The second orange paper is dry embossed with little squares, like the foam in the pit. The last orange paper is stamped with a border stamp by Simon Says Stamp. It's a tone-on-tone looking thing. Thank you for stopping by.

Pink with Gold Thread Card

The new dies I bought from Amazon came together and I die cut them together  I got the idea to wrap the gold thread around the edges. The final card is wider than your standard A2 card that I usually make. The center die cut is by Spellbinders and dry embossed with a Darice embossing folder. I lightly inked the pattern with Distress Oxide. The sentiment was sprayed with Glimmer Mist before being cut out. Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Camera Cards with the backgrounds made with scraps.

My first card has strips of paper leftover from projects. Some of the manufacturers are My Mind's Eye,  Colorbok, and Basic Grey. The white pieces of paper are probably patterned paper turned over. I do this a lot. For this card, I wanted to get out the Stampin Up wheel stamps. The camera stamp is from Tim Holtz and I colored it in with distress ink and water.

The Tag is by Basic Grey. The camera stamp and tiny stapler are both by Tim Holtz. The sentiment by Bo Bunny (?). The background stamp is by Stampin Up. The ribbon is from Michael's. I'll have more of these camera-stamped cards coming up. Thanks for looking

My second card is for a. Tag challenge at the The Male Room

You look Fabulous Given how old you are

This is the stamp I will use on the insides of the cards with cameras.

4 Little Hedgehogs Sitting on a Card

I'm entering my Hedgehog cards into the following Challenges:

The hedgehog stamp is from Close to my Heart and I colored them in with different color combos of Copic markers.

The blue card was made with scraps of blue cardstock behind the image. I inked the "sky" with distress ink. The sentiment was made with my Cricut pens and on the inside, it says “Here comes another birthday.”

The pink card has the same sentiment as the blue one but it’s on vellum. The pink patterned paper is a recycled store-bought card.

This next hedgehog image looks like a late birthday card because of the way the hedgehog has his head hanging down.

First I'm going to talk about the brown card on the right. The patterned paper is by Creative Memories. I bought the die behind the hedgehog off of eBay. The border punch by Fiskars and I like how nice the white tone-on-tone looks. The sentiment stamp is an oldie by Bo Bunny. I curved the stamp inside my MISTI to follow the shape of the hand-cut hedgehog stamps.

For the yellow card, the background is a Project Life card. Then I die cut the same Spellbinder label die in different shades of yellow and then dry embossed them with embossing folders by Gina Marie, Sizzix, Cuttlebug, and Darice. I put distress ink and Oxide on some of them and on the bottom die cut I used a white gel pen to accent the bird. I used the same sentiment as the brown card.

I have two more things.
The picture below shows the same design idea of using the small dies in your stash to make a pattern.
Lastly, I wanted to show that the store-bought card was big enough to make two cards. See the next pictures.

Floral Friday yellow and purple spring cards to donate to a senior living facility.

This is another set of spring cards I made to donate  to a senior center. The patterned paper is by Accord Publishing. The black cardstock is from Michael’s and the purple paper is from Studio G. The chipboard arrows were painted with Mr. Huey's paint. I can’t remember who makes the paint. To finish that landscape card I did something different and that I put patterned paper underneath each arrow. Before I shipped them out I saw this sticker and it was that something that this card needed. Thank you for stopping by.

Queen Bee Hexagon Stencil with Embossing Paste Cards

I used a Hero Arts background stamp for the tree on the left. The branch off of that is a branch off of a Memory Box die. The beehive is a piece of fabric that my Mom cut out and put bondage on the back and then I ironed it onto a square die cut by, my guess is Bo Bunny with a layer behind it. The honeycomb background is a stencil by Tim Holtz. I used regular white embossing paste. The color came from my mat. It was a mixture of inks that I had already used on my mat. I usually do a lot of backgrounds using embossing paste at the same time. So you will see the same paste used in some other bee cards The sentiment is a sticker. Thanks for looking.

Honeycomb background stamp on mulberry paper

Floral Friday Simple Hexagon makes a flower patterned Card

A nice and easy card today. I’m using an old Stampin Up bee stamp and hexagon punch. Then a little inspiration from my Mom who was a sewer quilter. I recall her making a pillow with this pattern. It looks like a flower. I just need to add a green stem and leaves. Or I can leave it like it is. So, This whole weekend I will “bee” posting cards bee, beehives, hexagons, or honeycomb type patterned cards. I hate bees when I go outside but I have been digging in the drawer and these backgrounds came out screaming, “Put me on a card bitch!” Lol. Today is the kind of day that I need to swear and laugh. So enjoy the weekend and as always, thank you for stopping by my blog and taking a look.
If you have a moment can you leave me a comment  telling me where you live and what’s the weather like. I live in Sparta, MI and it has been raining all day and is still going at 11:45pm.

Large Merry Christmas Card using my Cricut

This is an easy card that I cut out with my Cricut and backed it with different colored cardstock. The second picture is by this magazine that the post office sends me and it showing the holiday stamps for last year. There was such a disappointment last year for the lack of variety and choices there were. Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday Wishing you Card with a Promoted Woodgrain Embossing folder

I really like the way this card came together. The sentiment is heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I inked it with distress ink. The background paper and the jute are by Tim Holtz. The white cardstock has been dry embossed and then I would place a Gathered Twigs mini distress ink cube on top of the embossed area wait a few and then lift it straight up and place it on another spot. Let it sit for a moment or longer if I forgot about it and then again lift straight up.

Two things to note, I have shaky hands that jerk. <ClicK>  The jerking hands has been a problem when I’ve pressed send before finishing or proofreading a text or message. <ClicK> We’re back. Point is, my hand didn’t jerk sending the ink cube flying across the embossed background and/or across the room landing ink pad side down on the carpet. Second, it’s amazing that I didn’t drop the ink cube on the embossed paper. Thanks so much for stopping by. I have cards and layouts to post but injuries have prohibited me from going downstairs to my supplies and my PC. I now understand why people give up crafting if they don’t have a dedicated room to do so. You get I your stuff out and then have to put it away for dinner. It’s really hard to get your craft on that way. Thanks for looking.

Green shaker card birthday card

I’ve been nursing a few injuries, sprained ankle and bruised my butt when I fell straight down on it.  I went to sit down on a new to me walker. I was told by my ex SIL, “you have to have a walker” AKA She wanted the walker out of her house. But really she was a hero for helping by giving it to me. It was the walker’s wheels that made me fall. You could say it walked away from me. I landed right on my ass. I’m not complaining but the two injuries make it hard to craft. Here are just some facts: 1. I’m a fall risk and I can’t go downstairs. 2. I can’t give a clear answer as to where the pain is in my ass-which makes me feel like a pain in the ass. 3. I want to stand up to take the pressure off of my butt pain. However, I want to sit down because of my ankle pain. The butt pain has won that competition and I’m standing. 4. Lastly, the topic on weather or not I should go to the doctor for the ass has been a hot debate. Anyway. I brought some up some half done projects and have been able to put some things together. This is one of them. Thanks for looking.

The other border punch is by Martha Stewart out of white cardstock. The butterfly and flower die cuts are from K and Co. Thanks for looking.

Manly Monday punch off “Man Card”.

Here again is this “Man Card” that I found online and have used a handful of times. The white cardstock has wonky drawn lines that I found in design space and used my Cricut pen to draw it onto the background paper. I love the draw feature on my Cricut.
Then my least favorite part of this card is that bright blue cardstock behind the “man card”. Oh well. Idt a guy is going to mind the blue. They will be reading the squares. Everyone says guy cards are so hard and I disagree. I’m told that less is more with a guy card. Thanks for looking.
