Manly Monday Golf Club Bag

This week for our Manly Monday post I have two great masculine cards to share. Plus I'm kind of excited to share my card with you today. It is one I've been holding on to since December and I think it's pretty safe to post it by now.

For my card today I used THIS golf bag stamp by Stamp N Plus. I heat embossed it using ink by Versa Mark and embossed powder by Ranger (copper) and then die cut it out using a Spellbinders die. The cardstock is by Recollections. The second layer to my focal image is this specialty paper that I got for a buck at a scrapbook show a long time ago. There are three different colors and they are in the shape of a circle. The circle is too big to use on my cards and so I die cut it using a Spellbinders scallop circle die. Normally I would say no scallop circles for manly cards but for some reason, I'm OK with it on this card. The next layer is a recycled item. My friend gave me a pile of upholstery fabric samples. I thought to myself this would make a great background. It has great texture but isn't raised up so much that it needs extra postage.
For the rest of my card, I used patterned paper by My Mind's Eye and brown cardstock by Three Bugs in a Rug. The first part of my sentiment is a K an Co sticker again on Recollections cardstock. The second part is comprised of circle-punched shapes that I tucked half of it under the cardstock. The letter stickers are so old that I don't know what company produces them.

That's all I have for you today. It would be great to see you again next week.

Golf lovers card

I made this card for the Stamp N Plus blog. When making this card I was thinking about the golf lovers and how much they must love this mild winter weather we are having here in Michigan. A co-worker of mine took his motorcycle out one day last week and I'm sure some die hard golfers were out on the course that same day.

The golf stamp is L1773 and can be found HERE on the Stamp N Plus website. The clouds cardstock is by Recollections and Provo Craft. On the smaller cloud I dabbed a cosmetic wedge with paint and powdered chalk and smeared it onto the die cut. It gives it a fun fluffy feel. I cut the clouds out using my Cricut and Creative Memories cartridge.

The grass is a die cut that I've had for years so no idea where it came from or who it is by. The birthday stamp is from a SNP set that I have posted a picture below this card. If you are interested in this set of sentiments and fabulous labels for scrapbooking call Luann at 715-271-1873. I use this set all the time and love it.

The ink used in this card is by Tsukineko (green) and Hero Arts (black). Love this Hero Arts ink. It is so vibrant-even for black. It creates a sharp, clean and crisp stamp every time.

The cardboard is from some packaging my husband thought I could use. I love that it resembles the hole for golfing-well it does to me:)
Have a great weekend.
