Black/White Graduation card

A few graduation cards I made using a Spellbinders fancy label die with a Studio G grad cap stamped onto it. The pattermed paper is by The Paper Studio and the embossing folders for the sentiment and stars are by Provo Craft/Cuttlebug.

This one looks the same as the above but it uses a different dry embossed sentiment and then the edges have a white border.

Manly Monday Stars Flying Card

I think this card is too busy for a masculine card but my 14 year old nephew liked it because he aspires to be a pilot. Some of the products I used:
The star stamp and matching die by Sizzix, stars die cuts by Cricut or Creative Memories punches, the blue rectangle die by Spellbinders and the background stamp is by Stampin' Up.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Double Embossing Technique Cards

The double embossing comes when you dry emboss (Chevron pattern by Darice) and then you add Versa Mark ink over the top embossed area. From there you sprinkle the area with embossing powder and heat. The pink and gold embossing powder are by Stampendous. I inked the edges of the cards with Black Soot distress ink.

The rest of the of the stuff for my card came from my stash.

Quick note: The pink ribbon under the rick rack is "It's a girl" ribbon by The Paper Studio that came with a party favor from a baby shower. As one who is passionate about recycling, I turned it over and used the other side. The pieces were very small and I couldn't see using them on anything else. The sentiment stickers on the gold cards are by K and Co.

Beach Bum Cheers Card for Marcia

I made this one as a birthday card.
As I see it, the card on which the bottle cap is on looks like the sun to me.
The bottle cap matches the bubbles from the water dry embossed background
Lastly, the bottle cap matches the word "Cheers".
I ask you, how can that sentiment not match a beer bottle cap? :)

The background is dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.
The patterned paper is by Fancy Pants and the cheers die cut by Lawn Fawn.

Recycled Beach ATC

Beach scene
We live about 45 minutes from Lake Michigan and at this one beach there was this fence like thing that I was never sure what was being divided or keeping people away from. I based this ATC on that beach scene that is still in my head. The theme for the April ATC swap is recycled/upcycled/junk in your house. And as I was digging in my stash I found this fence looking thing.

When my MIL went into assisted living all of her crafty and sewing things came to my house. (I think I've told you this before. Sorry for the repeat info.) I found this fence in one of those boxes and it always intrigued me as to what it was or was for. I first thought it was a fence for a dollhouse but but my husband has no sisters. Hmmm. Perplexed and unable to ask my MIL (Alzheimer's) what this fence looking thing was, I kept it with no immediate plans to use it and no plans to throw it away.

If you have any ideas what you think the fence in my card is for, please leave me a comment. It came in a half of a yard roll. It is made of real wood and thicker wire to hold them together. I'm curious to hear what you think.

Anyway,  hubby cut the section I needed with some wire cutters and here's the rest. I cut white cardstock size down to normal ATC size (3.5 x 2.5) when I decided to create a moon in the background. Using a Marvy circle punch, I created a mask by punching out circle of a Post-It.  I inked the cardstock with distress ink and an ink blending tool with the moon mask in place to create the scene. I found a piece of  patterned paper by Creative Imaginations that resembled sand to adhere to the bottom and beach sentiment sticker by the same company.

Sit back and Relax card

The background of this card is in embossing folder by quickutz. I inked the folder with paint mixed with powdered chalk.  The reading is from May parts the diecut behind the bottle cap is by DO crafts. The sentiment is by unity stamp company  and is stamp on a Gina Marie designs diecut. The lemon is a doodle bug sticker.

I am now doing my blog posts using the voice activation on my iPad. I haven't figured out how to make companies with start with capital letters. I'm still learning. Doing posts this way is really helping the pain in my wrists that I incur from typing.

Deep Red Stamps Cheers Card

I made this card for a friend who is a red head and he found the card humorous. The background of the card was created by the Deep Red Stamps Tree Ring background stamp. I stamped it onto the red cardstock with Pale Tomato ink by Hero Arts and then again on white cardstock where I tried to match up the design. Taped those together and trimmed off the extra before adhering to black cardstock and then the card base. The cheers die is by Lawn Fawn and the circle around the bottle cap is from my stash.

I made these backgrounds with bubble wrap dipped in powdered chalk on Strathmore watercolor paper. Then on this first card, I stamped the Simon Says Stamp road with black Hero Arts ink. The car stamp is by Stamp N Plus. The blue mat behind the stamped image is by Bazzill. I die cut the sentiment from Cricut cartridge Boy will be Boys.

The second card has many of the same elements. However it includes a Spellbinders border die, an Ebay die cut out of blue cardstock by Stampin Up and a brad by Eyelet Outlet. I used the Creative Memories cutting System to create the oval and the sentiment by Cricut and same cartridge.

Yellow Flower Birthday Cards

This first is a birthday card that was previously posted and can see it HERE. I altered this card because the sentiment was adhered with foam squares that started to cave in and bent the cardstock. The new sentiment is by TPC Studio.

This card was published as a Mother's Day card. The background is a small Fiskars stamp that I stamped multiple times with Colorbox chalk ink. The flower closest to the base is a Sizzix die painted with Scattered Straw crackle paint by Ranger. On top of that is a Stampin' Up punch and on top of that is a Sasafrass sticker. The sentiment stamp is  by......idk but I do know that the label it's on is by Martha Stewart.

Thanks so much for looking.
