For You Tag Card

The tag on this card had antique cars on it. I painted over them with Making Memories off white paint. I put a SEI rub-on on it before setting an eyelet and adding ribbon. The rest of the card is gingham vellum I found in the stash and it's om an off white card base. Then the sentiment stickers are by Doodlebug.

Birthday Roar

This card uses a cute little lion stamp from Lawn Fawn. I stamped him in black ink and colored in with colored pencils. The flowers at the top are folded over to look like his mane. The cardstock on the left has been dry embossed. I inked the edges of the white cardstock.

Recyled cards

I'll start off by saying, I'm passionate about recycling. Any chance I'm able to recycle a card, it's going to happen. If there isn't time to do it now, I'll keep them into one of the 3 totes waiting for me until there is. Here are some Christmas cards that I put together from other cards received. When I say put together it means I cut off the back, taped them onto new card bases and stamped a sentiment on the inside.
The brown/pink/blue card was a small square that I backed with Stampin Up patterned paper. The Holy Nights Card, I was only able to save the the image and found these papers that matched. But still, not my cards. I'm donating these cards to different silent auctions that I make baskets for. These are gorgeous cards. Some bidder is really going to be happy when they see these up close.

Manly Monday Golf games

I've been working on Type 1 diabetes silent auction donations. Gift cards/certificates needed to be displayed at the event and I remembered there were a bunch of frames from my mom's house.

I put the tickets in a frame with cardstock and then made a sign to better tell what was in the frame. The signs were then taped onto the back of the frame. Do this project gave me a chance to get rid of things like frames and golf paper.

The first picture originally had white letter stickers and they all fell off. So I die cut these new ones using my Quickutz. It was fun to blow the dust off of it.

For some reason I thought the sign that had lost the stickers was this one below and so I made a new one and ended up with....

this!!!
Two signs with the same places and not the sign I needed. Ugh!

Slug Bug Card

The car stamp is by Unity and I colored it in with colored pencils. I used a water pen to blend it in before fussy cutting it out and stamping the license plate with Michael’s dollar bin alphabet stamps. The sentiment is by Hero Arts, peace symbol border is by Creative Imagination and flower brad is by Eyelet Outlet. Tag maybe My Mind’s Eye and I’m not sure about the ribbon and eyelet.

I made this card for my niece that turned 25 (what!) and the slug bug is a significant part of our relationship. When she graduated from high school she had a hippie themed party.  I’m not sure if hippie is the correct term for it but she had things like peace signs and Volkswagen bus photo prop. The car stamp was used for her the graduation party invitations. We collaborated a lot to get just the look she was going for and then had fun making them with my sister and nephew. Good bonding family time together.

God bless America

I don’t think I  remember a day in such detail as I do on this day in 2001. It is definitely one of those days that changed life as we knew it. I can’t believe it’s been 17 years. I don’t love this card and it might be more because of the crappy photo.

Thank you for stopping by.

Heartfelt Wishes Card

Not one of my favorite cards and hopefully it has not been posted. Seem to be losing my mind. If you find it I would love to have it back. Doily by Doodlebug, stamp in center circle is old one by SU, There's way too much going on in this card.
But I made it so I'm going to post it and learn from it.

Best Wishes Card Fall Colors

I have a super simple card today. The background paper is really busy but yet pretty. I cut two squares of paper in half and taped them to the left layered on top of one another. I die cut out a Spellbinder circle and stamped the sentiment inside with beown ink...done and I can still see the pretty background paper.

Anna is turning 1

I had the basics for this card from a card I sent to Paul's grandma. She kept every card I sent her. All I did different is add Anna's name and the 1 is a Cricut cut and the st were stickers by Sticko. Border punch by Martha Stewart. I wonder if this card is on my blog? When I have free time I'll take a look.

Party Time Card

This card is dry embossed with the Mosaic embossing folder by Stampin Up. From the stamp set by the same name, I stamped those in a circular pattern. I sprayed it with Glimmer mist and that didn't look the gratest so I covered most of it with the circle. The sentiment sticker Party is by Paperbilities (Westrim Crafts) and the sticker Time is by Bazzill.
