Sagittarius ♐️ birthday card

Hello.

So, I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before but

I am part of a few card request groups. There are requests for every event and non event.

I’m cruising thru the posts and I see a request for a birthday card. The young lady is into horoscopes and the moon and stars.

Well, I’ve had these Cricut die cuts in a folder waiting for 4 years to find that special person that was into horoscopes and zodiac signs. I have other signs cut out too. Maybe I will find another person that will enjoy them.

So my card:
The three “patterned paper” strips in the center are three scraps of a store bought card. The blue background is also up cycled card.
Scroll down to see the next picture.

These are my pieces.

The top strip (Rt) covers the sentiment and the sentiment strip covers the cut out portion of that strip.
Now that I’m looking at these tops of the three strips, I can see the flower but when I put them all together in their stacking order, I smiled to see how they came together.

I did not anticipate them forming the flower on the top
It’s one of those details that no one will see. Oh well.

Other card.
I was on a design team for Sassy Studio Designs. Lyndsay was the artist of these characters of different themes. One theme was zodiac signs and the image that I colored in and made a card of is PG-18.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Olaf card for tattoos

My husband's cereal has these Frozen 2 tattoo things that I wanted to send to the granddaughter of a friend of mine. I think she will like them. Well, I'm working on getting some of these images that are laying around onto cards and this was the perfect opportunity to use this image.

I used the Olaf digital stamp by Sassy Studio Design. They are no longer in business.
I don't like that it is off-white paper and the rest of the card is white but some things I have to remember people probably don't notice the little things that I do.
I colored him in with white powdered chalk mixed with paint and the nose is a distress marker. This should tell you how long I've had this image, the chalk company I worked with went out of business around 2015 which was about the time I started the design team for Sassy Studio.
Yup...I have a lot of images to get on cards.
Anyway,
The sentiment is by Sassy Studio Designs
The snowflake sticker is by EK Success
The patterned paper is by Carte Bella
I inked the edges with distress ink.

Thanks for looking
Here are some other cards using the same stamp.

Wonder Woman Says

I do not think my grammar is correct on my sentiment but it is in reference to a conversation I had with an instructor. Besides, if you read my blog you already know such information. So it is what it is. I used a Sassy Studio Designs digital image colored in with Copic markers. The cardstock is by American Crafts and Creative Memories and the patterned paper is by Die Cuts with a View. The star stamp is by Papertrey Ink and I made the sentiment on my computer.

Thanks for looking.

Sassy Studio Designs Sketch with Elsa

This is for the Thursday night challenge at Sassy Studio Designs the Thursday challenge  is
This I colored in Elsa Queen Coronation Sassy with Copic markers and some colored pencils by Stampin Up.

I always have a problem coloring her hair. I think of the hair color as a white almost grey like this picture:

but then in a different light it looks like a light blonde like this picture:

Here she is in her coronation dress:

and in this dress I don't know which I see more of-white or blonde. Either way I'm not impressed with the way I colored her hair and so I'll call it, "a work in progress".

For the rest of my card I used the Creative Memories cutting system to die cut the image into an oval. The patterned papers are by My Mind's Eye and Memories in the Making. The card base has a glittery finish (David Tutera) and funny thing-I taped the pieces of the card on upside down. Ugh! The embossing folder is by Darice and I inked the edges with Evergreen Bough distress ink (Ranger). The sentiment is a download from Heidi Swapp and I stuck with a generic sentiment to make this card any occasion needed say for a birthday card, go job card or even a happy holidays card. To finish up the snowflakes are a mix of K and Co stickers and some snowflakes are a Marvy punch.

Thanks for looking.

Copic colors I used:
Cape-V04, RV17 and Faber Castell colored pencil #125
Hair-C00, C01, Y000, W0
Dress-BG18, BG34, BG11, a Stampin Up colored pencil and Faber Castell #162
Gloves-BG34, BG11, Faber Castell #162
Top of dress-C5, C3, C7
Lips-R85
Eyes-B00, B02, B04
The gold highlights come from a gold Wink of Stella pen

I matted black cardstock behind the image by Recollections. The blue and the green cardstock are by Paper Reflections and the red is by Recollections. The stitching on the card is a rub-on by Die Cuts with a View.

The flowers are by Prima and the center is a glittery dot by Recollections. The sentiment is a Fiskars stamp that I stamped with Hero Arts black ink onto a Spellbinders die.

Sassy Studio Designs Thurs challenge

This week at Sassy Studio Designs the Thursday challenge is

Anything Goes

For my card I decided to use the Hans Honey image. I printed him out and colored him in with Copic markers and colored pencils. I printed the sentiment from the internet. The white cardstock has been embossed with two embossing folders at the same time. The embossing folder on top consists of cogs (by Darice) and the one on bottom features arrows (Cuttlebug). (I'm really into arrows lately) The middle paper that hides the gap in the white cardstock is a space ship pattern by Karen Foster. On that patterned paper I stamped some gages/odometer looking things by Oriental Trading Co. I stamped it with Versa Mark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder.

Frozen Celebrate card

Today Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring the challenge at CCC Digi Creations. The theme is Add Some Sparkle. I am using the Snow Queen Sassy.

I printed her onto Strathmore watercolor paper and colored her in with Peerless watercolors. I did color in her cape with Stardust powdered chalk mixed with paint. I die cut the image out with a Sizzix die and inked the inside with distress ink and an ink blending tool both by Ranger. I took the same paper as the background and trimmed around the image with a small edge left around the image.

The patterned paper is by Scrappin' Sports and More and it is dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. I added Perfect Pearls powder to the embossed area to increase its sparkle. The white star is a Quickutz die the I inked the edges with distress ink and then covered with glitter by Stampin Up. The blue star is chipboard that I painted with Plaid silver paint. Then I placed the star onto Sizzix adhesive sheet and then covered with Stampendous blue glitter. The sentiment is by Fiskars stamped with Hero Arts ink.

Good Luck card

Today's card is brought to you by Sassy Studio Designs. They are sponsoring a challenge at Open-Minded Crafts that is Luck/St. Patrick's Day. I'm not really keen on making and sending St. Patrick's Day cards so I went with the luck possibility.

I'm using Sandra's Graduation Sassy for this graduation card wishing someone good luck. I printed her out onto Cryogen cardstock and colored her in with Copic markers. I then cut her down and matted her onto blue cardstock and the white. I left a small piece of white at the bottom for my sentiment which is by TPC Company stamped with Hero Arts black ink. I die cut the star from a Quickutz die and covered it with white glitter. The flourish is a Cricut cut out of Die Cuts With a View cardstock.

The background on the blue cardstock is a Deep Red Stamp called Quantum Background. I stamped it twice, on top and bottom with black Hero Arts ink.

I printed the image out onto X-press It cardstock and colored her in with Copic Markers. I used a lot of Stickles on the wings. It took me three sessions of applying and drying to get the wings full of glitter. The background paper is a aqua and purple but I don't know who the manufacturer is. Skater Sassy Card

"Happy Friday!
The image below called Skater Sassy will be free for 24 hours on our Sassy Studio Designs Facebook group!! I printed Skater Sassy out onto X-Press It cardstock and colored her in with Copic Markers. Then I die cut her out with a Lawn Fawn rectangle (I cut the feet off because I messed up on one shoe and then accidentally got pink ink on the other shoe. So bub-bye to the feet.) I put aqua polka dot cardstock by PTI behind the rectangle die cut, the orange patterned paper is by Basic Grey and the arrow paper is by Studio G. The star stickers are by Simple Stories and the skater sticker is by Creative Imaginations.

Disney Fan Sassy Card

"Happy Friday!
The image below called Disney Fan Sassy will be free for 24 hours on our Sassy Studio Designs Facebook group!! That means that after 24 hours the image will be removed from the group and you will no longer be able to receive it for free. If you miss it - you can still purchase the image in the Sassy store at regular price. If is not in the store than you will have to wait until it pops up again!

Today's card is fun because the background that is black with Mickey on it is fabric. However, it was not cut straight which made it a challenge to adhere it to the card base. Instead of trying to make everything line up I decided to be happy with its imperfections.

The image was printed onto X-Press It cardstock and colored her in with Copic markers and colored pencils by Stampin Up. I added some Stickles to the balloons and the center of her bow on top of her head. The sentiment sticker by Making Memories is really thick and I don't think it will be able to go through mail at regular postage. The little sparkles are a Cricut cut not sure the cartridge but it's made out of Recollections glitter cardstock.

Sassy Studio Designs Monochromatic

This week at Sassy Studio Designs the challenge is Monochromatic. I used the Praying Portrait for my card today. I printed it out onto watercolor paper and used Peerless watercolors and distress inks with a water pen by Ranger. I colored the eyelids with a light blue and then put blue distress Stickles on top of that. I cut the image down and matted it with a yellow cardstock. I decided to use scraps of patterned papers by Cosmo Cricket and Studio Calico. I covered the seam with a piece of yellow cardstock that I stamped with a border stamp by The Paper Co with yellow ink by Stampin Up. The flower is by Prima and I placed a strip of yellow Stickles on each petal. Then I placed three rhinestones in the center and the sentiment is a sticker by Studio 112.

Sassy Studio Designs 3, 2, 1 GO!

This week at Sassy Studio Designs  the theme is 3, 2, 1 GO! So what does that mean? You need to use 3 papers, 2 buttons, and 1 ribbon on your project. I created a card using the Scarecrow Portrait. I printed the image on watercolor paper and colored in the image with Peerless and distress inks with a water pen by Ranger Industries.

I used three different patterned papers by Provo Crafts and the bottom paper is of hay. I placed two very small buttons, one on the hat and one at the end of the rope around her neck. I tied the ribbon around left lower corner into a bow. The sentiment is Lawn Fawn Harold alphabet stamps and Stampin Up brown ink.
